first time i heard winehouse was on the car radio in early 2007, i think i was only about 13 or 14. her voice and this retro yet modern style of music immediately made me want to know more of her. i took up the drums because of her and i've found realised music isn't progressively getting worse as time goes by, good musicians are just hard to find these days.

Here's a fan story about Amy Winehouse.

I am a Canadian who went to Bratislava, Slovakia to escape my addictions to drugs and alcohol in 2006.

I was sitting one day in my flat doing nothing and "Rehab" came on MTV. I related to this song instantly as my family was also on my ass about going to rehab in Toronto. The lyrics came alive because it was talking about my life. Since then I was a fan of Amy because of her honesty. I'm sad that she is gone, but I've been clean since then.
