  • Omg i was pulling through this whole video i couldnt stop (i use my nails like tweezers to pull my eyelashes) and i got one(both my lids are bald and ugly i pull the stubby ones and u know how hair gets thicker when they come out, thats when i wanna pull em out) and when i went back for more i touched and it burned i guess i like scrached my lid but i have done this forever im 13 and i have been doing it for as long as i can remember

  • I suffer from this things and I do exactly same things as u and I know how u feel about but can u please tell is the pulled out is growing back again and do u pulled out from the root?

  • Not only stress causes it-another MAJOR factor is boredom. Try not to go on the computer or watch tv too much because those are the times when people mainly do it

  • omg i do the same thing basically with my hair:( i find the bumpy ones in the same area as you. i use to pull them right out of my head but i dont do that as much now i like use my nails and sort of slide down the piece of bumpy/wirey hair.. untill it rips off. so i have a bunch of short hairs back there too. I WANT TO STOP SO BAD!! ITS HARD THOUGH. also when my hair is down i rub the ends on my lips without noticing. my friends started noticing i do it and they kind of snap me out of it...help?

  • mine is sooo bad :'( i can't stop and i seriously thought no one else had this to... AAAAAHHHH!!! :/ :/

  • You're gonna be okay!!

  • maybe start solving cube will help :)

  • I suffer too I can´t take control it , my mom says that i have to stop inmediatly

  • Comment removed

  • @RabaanOvloG me too It started as twirling my hair then went out of controle and know its a bad habbit

  • I suffer too I just started like a year ago and I've tried and tried to stop its just so hard my mom flips out and yells at me to stop ur not alone

  • I suffer as well. I have zero lashes and I'm afraid that they won't grow anymore. I may try Talika or Latisse.

  • i do the same exact thing!! play with it in my hand---snap it in half n throw it to the ground..n only the bumpy hairs..wow!

  • hey lou guyths!

  • take some speech classes and learn how to fuckin talk and THAN focus on this little habit of pullin hair out ok.

  • i have been doing pulling my hair out since I was maybe 6. I think its more of an anxiety thing than stress or maybe I was stressed at 6 who knows. I always rip out the hair in the front of my head and I am fed up with it. cos my hair is short and I cant wear bangs. Any way I though I was the only one until I searched youtube.

  • ...idk y I watch these videos I don't have it (thankfully) but there so interesting I feel so bad for everyone who has it I'm scared though after I Watch these videos that I would get it... But I don't

Stay strong!!! You guys can do it!!

  • just made 5 years with it, and it's ruined my life

  • Hi, we're casting right now for people who have trich or other unusual habits. Please check out our channel if you'd like to learn more. Thanks!

  • @TrueLifeStrangeHabit for what

  • if anyone has any advice message me. please. i can't stop.

  • i pull out my eyelashes

  • Hey :) i have trichotillomania too , but ive finally stopped pulling ! i take vitamin B complex every day , it reduces stress and so you tend to pull less , also i tried this technique called tapping , you should check it out on youtube , it really works ! i think its called emotional freedom technique ... good luck :)

    ps : i had it since i was 6 ..i stopped 2 months ago and im 15 ! everything is possible !!

  • I have been living with this disease since the young age of four or five. I know what you are dealing with and how you feel about dealing with this disease. I never really pulled my hair on my face or visible area's but area's under clothes were fair game. I finally had to shave my whole body to keep from pulling. I didn't know if other people had this disease and kept it a secret for a long LONG time. It's a day to day thing and you just have to keep real to yourself.

  • I think I might have Trich too. I just love the sensation I get when I pull out my eyelashes. It's gotten so bad, that I actually enjoy the painful sting when plucking them out! idk what to do. I do it a lot now, especially when i feel nervous, anxious, or overwhelmed.

  • I suffer from Trich as well!

  • Ur a sweetheart. Thanks for the post.

  • I totally feel for you i also have this problem.... feel free to talk with me if you like...

  • I've been pulling since I was 12ish. But never to the point of getting bald patches, until the past week and now I have a massive patch ( I'm 18). I've been thinking about going to the doctors or something because I cannot stop even though I can barely cover my baldy patch and have to wear hats, but I'm kind of embarassed about it at the same time :/

  • I have had Trich for 7 years. And i know that it is hard for everyone to go through it by themselves. So recently to fix that problem i have created a social network for people with Trich to get help and support one another. If any of you feel alone or just want someone to talk to that can relate here is the link. trichstersonline.socialgo.com

  • I can pull out every hair out of my body, except for my stomach... feels great.

  • i have it for my pubic hair :\

  • i really need to stop this stupid shit. Its really annoying that I can't stop. does anyone know any ways I can stop BESIDES SHAVING IT.

  • Its weird cause i only do it to my top lid

  • I know it sounds weurd but i dont think my mom or anyone knows that i pick my eyelashes with my finger nails everyday almost i just want to cry im so alone i need help every one of my lashes are gone someone tell me what to do im stressed!!

  • I have had trich since first grade when it started pulling my eye lashes, now im 20 years old i started pulling my hair when i was in ninth grade, ive tryed lots of medications, i wear a hat or bandanna most of my life or my hoddie, i always get hoodie jackets an im always paranoid if someone is looking at the back of my head, im still pulling my eye lashes but its mostly my hair, i have been able to get at least half a head of hair back but i recently started pulling it back out.. =(

  • Stopping it is so hard. I hate when I pull in public :/ I don't even realize it!

  • Like I am getting rid of something faulty or less than perfect

  • @buginyourear yes, exactly its.

  • You are a perfectionist like me.When I pull I feel for the bad, crinkly hair. It feels like I am "getting rid of "the Bad". does that make sense?

  • @buginyourear YES, you guys we're all so alike

  • Lol I only pull out the bumpy ones too!

  • i fell sooo many peoples pain of trichotilamania im 11 and 7th grade is coming imgoing to be so humiliated im always nervous please please please if anyone ouy there has a better solution please reply to me`!!!!

  • @smiley121101 Hey I have trich too. I got it in 6th grade. I'm going into 10th. I'm sorry this is happening, but I' ve been working on it. I pray every night to God to give me strength but nothing. I don't understand why it happened to me. My best advice would be to figure out what causes it. have people around you, ask to share a room with a sibling so you dont pull at night. keep your hands occupied play on an ipod. keeping your hair wet also works. good luck

  • @Lynnsfavoritemusic God bless you. that's so true, having people around, and keeping your mind AND hands occupied. definetely wet hair too. <3

  • @smiley121101 check out my tips video, I know it's difficult to hear, but that's definetely when helped me through. I love you dear, and I know you can do this.

  • PLZZ SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO STOP AM STARTING TO THINK ITS IMMPOSIBLE TO STOP

  • @noprettycool I know, it feels like that, but I promise it IS NOT impossible.

  • @biggerthanlove7 i hope so :(

  • @biggerthanlove7 hey i wanna learn how to stop i pic out my eyelashes and i wanna stop i wanna know how to stop without help from my parnts cuz they judge me

  • I'm sorry if it seems quite out of order when I say this, but you have an illness, and your mum doesn't sound as if she is being very supportive about it, if she is telling you she doesn't want to be seen with you. You need to tell someone else, that you know will support you through it, because it can make you worse if you have nobody!

  • @MarieClareification that was a long time ago, and things are much better now, thank you though. she's helped a lot. Thanks hun :)

  • @MarieClareification

it's not an illness. it's the same as smoke or bite off your nail's. or the need of caffeine in the morning.

it's not like she mentally ill or something. it's just weird because people don't talk of it much because of shame. or because of people calling them mentally ill or saying they have some kind of illness!

  • Thank you so much for this. You really touched my heart and I suddenly feel l am actually not alone. And you're right, I can stop this. I've been pulling for about 2 years now but I know that with will power, it's stoppable. Thank you for having the guts to share this with us. I'm sure you've inspired many people out there. You're the best. <3

  • This made me cry I'm so happy I'm not alone. I hate this and want help so bad. I just now told my dad and my bff about trich after about 2 yrs thru it and my bff was rly supportive buuuuuuut..of course my dad was an ass and yelled at me and UHG crying my eyes out. ( I feel like I'm a drama queen now but I just rly want help and can't live with this anymore btw I'm 13)

  • I have curly hair. I always wanted straight hair. I hate my hair so much, when i find a bumpy, or really curly one i need to pluck it out because i see them as imperfections. my family doesn't know i have this disorder so i feel alone. I have broken hairs on my forehead (where your hair begins to grow). I fear going to the salon because they ask why i have so many broken hairs and i have to blame it on my brush. i feel like im a freak..

  • @InTheKnowGirl Me too. I started straightening my hair in sixth grade then there would always be some thick curly hairs that would never straighten and i would pull those out. ive stopped straightening my hair its been working a little but know i pull the hairs that are growing back. my hair is brown and they're coming in black. :/ I cut my own hair to not go to the salon. I told my family and they act like it's nothing. ive been crying everyday it hurts a lot.

  • @InTheKnowGirl lol, ur not a freak. ive been denying it for years because everyone thinks im smart/attractive and strong headed.so i refused to adress it or bring it up. but u know what i have a problem liking my smooth hairs and im prejudiced against the bumpy ones and my subconscious feels like they gotta effin go. i have no idea why..and no control to stop.i hate it.i just wanna let em exist and get long, then straighten the life out of them so i wont pull, but i cant seem to just let it go.

  • @InTheKnowGirl you're not a freak, I do the exact same thing love

  • @InTheKnowGirl I seriously thought i was the only one who did that out of everyone with trich. Straight hair has always something I've wanted, and now I have it because of treatments and a lot of damage, but I can't stop pulling now. I just recently found out I had this disorder, because I had no clue it existed. But don't worry, you're not a freak, because if you are, then that makes thousands of other people freaks too (:

  • @InTheKnowGirl its almost like you have described exactly what i'm feeling! I have been pulling since i was 12 and now at 23 i feel like its getting worse. Every time i go to a hair salon i get the same comments like oh you have some breakage there or oh you have less hair here? its something i got used to after a while although its still hurtful to hear comments like that or ones like, why don't you just stop pulling? I'm sorry I don't have anything constructive to say but you're not alone! :)

  • I have a mild version of trich that i think stems from my OCD. I can relate to exactly what you said about pulling the bumpy ones! For me its the hairs that don't feel right to me and when i find them i have to pull them out. It always gets worse when i am stressed. Thank you for having the courage to post this, I know I am not alone.

  • i have trichotillomania, but you can control it and my hair is growing and that makes me happy, =D, all can do it , just have faith

  • i have trichotillomania

  • I have trich too! Had it ever since puberty, and I'm almost 24 now. I was bald through high school but now it's controllable.

  • wow..i do that too..like there is that one hair you have to find...

  • thank you. i always thought i was alone with trich until i found a youtube video on it. there are so many people i can relate with. i guess i felt alone because i don't know anyone in person with it and nobody understands. my mom has a habit of feeling my head to see if i've been pulling. i hate it.

  • Hi! I have a friend with trich.... people need to know that they're not alone. Your video is really helpful. Thanks!

  • Omg I love ur video!!!! I just found out I have Trichotillomania 2 days ago when I realized

I'm not JUST pulling hair. I found a bigggg bald spot on the base of my scalp where I pull from. I didn't even think it was a problem till I saw it. It's scary!!! I pull in bed too or when I read or when I'm stressed. I find hair all over my bed and condo. Thank you for this! I feel not so alone!!!!

  • hay wat are the symtomes becuz i think i might have it i desited to look at this wen my ant came up to me and told me to stop pulling my hair but i cant help it its gotten worse and im nervious to tell my parents about it but its really notisible becuz i mess with my hair were my bangs are supposed to be think u can help ?

  • hi how have you been? i wrote a long time ago.. im also a fellow thricster.. im in my 30s.. ive been pulling for about 10 years... i hope you have been well and pulling less

  • I don't know if I have it, but I do have a couple of bald spots near my forehead (covered by my bangs) I always feel the need to comb and pull it..

  • i also have trichotillomania i had since i was 12 but now im almost 16 i have alot that is wrong with me like social disorder, depression, and ADD. sometimes i wonder where the me who was happy and had beautiful long hair went to? my hair was almost grown back but i pulled again i have went to a therapist and took medication, therapy doesnt really help and the medication only works for a while then i go back how i am just wish i was that girl i used to be i don't want to suffer anymore with this

  • oh also.. you're wonderful. thank you for making a video about this..

  • i've noticed in these video blogs about trichotillomania that when sufferers try to talk about it, they all sound the same as me.. as soon as the topic comes up they get nervous and stutter a little bit.. no matter what kind of person you actually are. i am the same way.. i can't help but have a little miniature panic attack anytime i discuss it with the people close to me who know.

  • i pull in the same places haha :)

  • im 11 years old and im struggling with that.... have been since i was 9 i wish more than anything i could meet some one elese with it. you truly blessed me

  • KNOW HOW YOU FEEL gurl!!! <3 thank's for the video. I hope I meet someone else with trichotillomania someday.

  • I have been struggling with this for going on 8 years. Thank you for sharing this with everyone. It's nice to know you're not alone.

  • umm i have this disorter to i have had it for about a year or so i take meds to help and for thos want to know is it works it works for me im only 11 and im in 6th grade people might find it gross but when i told the girls im my locer room it was a great relif and i go and help at boys and girls club i found one staf member there that had it now shes a beautiful modlebut to know im not the only one with this it makes me feel better !!!

  • I too have been struggling with trich for about five years. Thank you for being brave and sharing your story. :)

  • i have went the file!! :) please rep asap..:) than you please also include what country you are from.

  • hello, i have a thesis coming up regarding TTM and i am wondering if you are willing to contribute by answering one of 6 questions i have.... if you are willing to contribute i would send you the file of the quesitons... your story woud be of great help. thanks

  • Hey, i have trich and you can't help it. Ive had it since i was 9 in 2009. You just can't help it and even telling a person not to pull, there going to want to pull.

  • Comment removed

  • You really are amazing. Not only have you been blessed with a beautiful face, but you put off this incredible vibe of truly caring about other people, and it is amazing that I can feel your vibes through a computer screen. You are very strong and brave for talking about your struggles with trich online. Thank you for doing so, I just realized there is another person out there JUST like me and I know I don't have to tell you how great that feels. Suddenly I'm a little less scared. Thank you :)

  • @onabeachinhawaii this might be the nicest thing anyone has ever commented on these videos. I thank you tremendously, it meant the world to me!

  • Your pretty , you shouldnt pull out our hair, try masturbating, or pull out ur armpit hair or pubes you dont need them anyway.

  • I think you are really pretty, and good for you for making this

trich is not necessarily related to anxiety or depression, your pediatrician doesn't know what he's talking about, and whether meds or therapy or support or whatever works varies widely from case to case.......

But everything you've said seems normal or at least widespread -- I mean, pulling bumpier ones and so forth

  • i know this is so hard for you and i have the same thing, but please be grateful that you dont eat it like i do. <3

  • I've just realised that what i've been doing, has got a name :/ and yeah I was going to the same exact phase that you went through. :( i want my hair back

  • I really hate this, I have it, I try and try for years.... I need to stop pulling out my hair. thank you. I have a friend now.

  • I have it too thnx so much

  • You are beautiful. You shouldn't lack confidence. You are wonderful, and brave for putting a video up and helping others. (: You are wonderful and adorable(:

  • @FragileToyProduction you have no idea how much that meant. thank you tremendously <3

  • hey! i have trich too...so yah! nice vid! :)

  • I've had trich since I was 9 or 10 (i'm 26 now) and have tried taking medication and therapy without too much luck... but I need to make more of an effort... Trich and OCD can be so awful, it absolutely destroyed my self esteem when i was younger, and I'm still trying to get better... I hope one day there will be some sort of cure for this disease! Best of luck to you, I hope you're doing well.

  • *to STOP wanting to pull ur hair sorry forgot to add STOP X)

  • oh another great tip but duno if u guys like it cos its a bit messy, i hav dis almond cuticle balm n its oily n wen i smear my fingertips wit it, i totally refuse to pull my hair! cos i know ill dirtied my hair n yea... but of cors it'll limit u 4rm touching others... but dis cuticle balm doesnt smear alot. so its good to me. but oil mite help u to wanting to pull ur hair. hope dis helps :)

  • Please I need to stop before it gets worse!

  • @jerilyng Check out my newest video, it has tons of tips that have helped me significantly. Also, I'll be praying for you./

  • @jerilyng honestly you just need to let it run its corse most people dont know about it or know how to cure it but are awear its out there

  • I pull out my hair also and sometimes i dont even notice that im pulling it and it doesnt even hurt...the only solution i found was hair cuts and this may work for males but for females...I dont know...

  • @sprottlemong what's wrong with it?

  • @biggerthanlove7 dunno really i think its the lisp. You are lovely though,

  • @biggerthanlove7 dunno really i think its the lisp.

  • @biggerthanlove7 dunno really i think its the lisp. I have a stammer, i just cant stop it. Until one day when i realised that i didnt. I am also feakishly small. Almost a dwarth but i have long arms.

  • wow i didnt know this effected so many people i thought i was like the only one.... i have being pulling my hair for 10 years it started when i was 11 iam over it and over what people think or say

  • i started with my split ends not i pull out only my extra thick or coarser hairs..... is that what you do are you only pulling out ur coarser and thicker ones or just any of them ?

  • @850babe4life I used to pull like everything, but now just my coarser, bumpy ones.

  • 1:18...that was the right answer.

  • @Jakyle1 ABSOLUTELY :D

  • My sister was Diagnosed with this last month!!

And she pulls out her baby edges and shes only 9!!

    Its sad!!

  • @XxKookieMonster69xX that's terrible :/ please support her as much as you can. she really needs it

  • what the hell?? i thought i was the only "weirdo" that does that, finally i found someone that understands me and that knows what im going through!! i just cant stop it!! i have these freaking short bumpy hairs everywhere, i just want them all off! at least i have a name for this behavior....

  • @nathapardo exactly how I feel! ah but look at these bajillion comments, we're not alone. Most of us have the bumpy hair issue thing!

  • @biggerthanlove7 :D we're not alone!

  • @nathapardo you're not weird at all! we're all here!

  • @nettie0930

Think.look in the mirror and say to urselfand would u rather be beautiful and not harm urself or harmurself and not be beautiful.u don't pull an more I honstly hope this helps also rapid tapping on my palm and wrist helps 2

  • @SuperHety we're all beautiful. you're right

  • i have the same thing, i pull out my hair but not that bad, its barely noticable, when i do i am always looking at the roots, i dont know why...all my lashes and brows are gone, i take medicine and that doesnt help me, its all about self control

  • @garrettmaria74 you're right, self control is HUGE. I hope you're doing better

  • @garrettmaria74 yes dats true its actually all abt self control. I tried it but i need a very strong reason y i shud not pull so i tot abt my future dat ill go bald n will be a sad lonely person till I die if I dont stop n my mum threatened to embarass me in public if i dont stop..its harsh but it helps.. cos I lessen my pulling. hehe

  • Hello my name is Jeanette and I have been suffering from Trichotillomania for 17 years. I pull out my eyelashes and eyebrows with tweezers so yeah I hate myself as a result i feel like a big loser and no one has really ever helped me confront this issue and it has been a hard battle by myself and I know I am losing! I wear makeup that is drawn on a lot like old Egyptian style So yes I need sever help, sometime my eyes even bleed from were I pull. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

  • @nettie0930 I really recommend you see a psychiatrist and ask them to put you on some sort of anti-anxiety medication. Risperdal really helped me. And you just gotta sit on your hands, do whatever you need. Resist the extremely difficult urge. I'll be praying for you Jeanette.

  • @nettie0930 check out my new video on the tips, or message me!

  • I do the same thing with my eyelashes, but it doesn't stop there. If a piece of hair feels different, I play around with it and then snap it in half. If i find 1 part of my eyebrows just not looking right, i pluck them obsessively and sometimes they get way too thin. If I'm wearing braids and some part of the end goes down further than the rest, I will cut it. I obsessively cut my bangs and they get so messed up because I can't stop. I've done this since I was 5 years old, starting with lashes.

  • @PunkSwagga94 I'm so incredibly sorry. You should maybe try not keeping tweezers or scissors with you? Maybe that'd help?>

  • this is sooo weird i normally sit ther for hours pickin out da thick damaged hair n im not satisfied till i can feel da roots out and then im left wit a massive pile of hair!its such an annoying habit, was left wit a bald patch!i was gutted so i got a razor and shaved over da bald area n it grew bak within weeks, its bin a year now n its fully grown but is only a couple of inches long -still betta dan nufin!i rly fawt i wz d only 1 dat did this, felt like a freak! ps u got a lisp - just like me lol

  • oh my god i do the same thing to. i run it through my hands just like that

  • I pull out bumpy, damaged, split, coarse, or thick hairs. I "ribbon" them. Similar to how you take a christmas ribbon and pull it between a scissor (my finger nails) and make it curly. Then I rip it out. :P

  • @SophineW YES I do the same! Wow I really wish I could submit this all into some sort of trich research. I think I might, cause this is really significant!

  • @plakola yeah i'd love to! message me!

  • @plakola :D sure! please send me your video!

  • omg ....i do the same shit!!!!...i pull out my hair and snap it..i thought i was the only one that would do that!!! you sound just like me talking!!!!!!!...like you don't like the hairs that feel bumpy or damaged so you pull it out and snap it in half..i know what your going through and its a pain in the ass!!!!

  • @lovely33594 wow we're so much alike! hopefully my new video will reach out to all of you guys and help with some tips!

  • @lovely33594 Yeah exactly! omg that's so weird that someone actually knows what I'm talking about! Ah makes me feel a bit less of a freak you know? :/

  • im only 12 an ive had it scince i was 10. i feel so alone. my parents my brothers or my sister dont understand how hard it is to not pull.they always yell and make fun of me because of it. its really not fair.do u have any suggestions or advice???

  • @fly1281 I'm so sorry sweety. I know how that is. My family doesn't understand it either, and they do the same thing. Just try to explain it in your perspective, tell them that it's like...an urge to itch. You constantly think about it and can't ignore the itch until you just give in and itch it. Hope that helps, message me if you need more help. :)

  • Hey Im a trcih victim too. Well i hav a good tip though but I duno bout u guys cos ppl suffer trich differently so yeah. But me, i usually pull rough coarse bumpy strands of hair... not all of em... so i hav dis idea of trying to cover your fingertips cos u need to 'feel' using ur finger tips to pull those hair so i tried using bandaid n cover my fingerprints n it worked! as long as i cover my fingertips with bandaid, i stop! I hope this works for u guys... :)

  • @nafertini901 yeah! I can't wait to try this! Wow it's so interesting how so many of us pull the coarse and bumpy hairs! anyone else?>

  • definitly not alone im a man and i have this disease it sux and its really hard to handle

  • @killerDJt I know, buddy. I'm sorry to hear that. But I'm getting better and I hope to hear you are as well.

  • i have the same thing, and i have this really gud tip: wear bandaids on the fingers you pull with, it really helps! and if anyone you asks you got a cut.

  • @charmed722 Hmm, clever! Thanks for the tip!

  • right were you pull your hair is were i have started to!

its the same spot on my head and a bald spot is forming,

i pull the coarse hair, i look around my head untill i can find one to pull and its when i am stressed out i do this which is often

do you think i may have this?

  • @TrueWeirdGirl I definetely think you do. message me and we can talk more. check out my new video!

  • @TrueWeirdGirl I find a lot of people do the same things as us! Yeah same, when I'm stressed! or sometimes daydreaming.

  • Hey, this video yes. Its exactaly how it is.. Message me sometime.. Id love to talk to someonea bout it.

  • )no1elslikeme) Im 14 year old and ive gotten better, not stop but hoping to one day.I stared when i was about 9.

  • @JoJoFallen check out my new video, I have tons of tips!

  • Hey i am a 22 year old guy who has trich.. and only just recently been learning about it. although ive pulled out my eyebrows completely and most of my eyelashes.. its really bad because i use to have really thick eyelashes..

    Thanks for posting your video

  • sorry i meant front of my hair line

  • document when u pull and why, write it down. you have to do things to keep yourself busy. KEEP BUSY! wear gloves it makes it harder to pull. and find ppl to talk too. it is hard but you have to be strong willed. i still pull but im not totally over it like ill just say no more enough ive been able to come to that point. Goodl Luck message me for any advice. and shame on your mother for being embarrased.

  • @daillnana234 :D thank you so much. you're so sweet. and my mom is better now. and so am i :D

  • hi hun. you are getting better if you pulled so many before and notice that you pull less now. im 22 ive pulled since i was about 16. it is genetic and its a chemical imbalance in the brain. ive actually never been to therapy or taken meds but i have a mild case i just pull from the front of lashes and brows. I used to pull uncontrollably the key is to realize when you do, what iis your trigger.

  • @daillnana234 exactly. thank you so much. you're all such inspirations to me!

  • Do u have any suggestions to stop, ive tryed everything. Help.

  • @amazinggrace422 I'm 17 and have had this since I was 12 or 13. For me it's stress/anxiety related. The only thing that sort of works is to do something else with your hands - solve a puzzle, make a bracelet, rub a worry stone - something of that sort. For me, it also sometimes helps to imagine a reason NOT to pull. Having a goal (for example, telling yourself not to pull because then you'll be able to swim without worrying about people noticing) can help. Good luck.
