i don't believe kids shouldn't shoot guns. i shot my first gun when i was 8. some of the best shooters i've instructed have been younger children. but then again, i've never gave a kid a 9mm Ozi and said shoot away. The biggest gun I let anyone under 10 shoot is a .22. then we move to a .410 shotgun and then up. mistakes happen, let it go. God bless the family though.
I don't think everybody quite understands what wetnt down. The kid was given a micro-Uzi (the smallest type of Uzi) by an man without a gun license (as in, the people running the event) because the father, in his ignorance about firearms, believed the micro-Uzi would be easier to handle when in fact it had the opposite effect -- the lower weight allowed the recoil to overtake kid.
An 8 year old shouldn't be using anything more powerful than a Nerf gun or water gun. At 10 maybe he could graduate to a pellet gun. There is zero need to bring a young child to a gun club.

i don't believe kids shouldn't shoot guns. i shot my first gun when i was 8. some of the best shooters i've instructed have been younger children. but then again, i've never gave a kid a 9mm Ozi and said shoot away. The biggest gun I let anyone under 10 shoot is a .22. then we move to a .410 shotgun and then up. mistakes happen, let it go. God bless the family though.

I don't think everybody quite understands what wetnt down. The kid was given a micro-Uzi (the smallest type of Uzi) by an man without a gun license (as in, the people running the event) because the father, in his ignorance about firearms, believed the micro-Uzi would be easier to handle when in fact it had the opposite effect -- the lower weight allowed the recoil to overtake kid.
