India's strike Air Crafts are Su-30 MKIs, Mirage 2000(with BVR capabilities), LCA is just there to fill up numbers and hence it is fit for that role, apart from that we are buying126 Eurofighters/Rafales and 100 Pak-Fa which we are co-developing and we have an NGFA program.

Of course IndianAirForce is more numerous than Pakistani, but the former has very diverse aircrafts, french, russian and "indigenous" ones. This melting pot could be unreliable in case of a real conflict. Now Pakistan has bought a very modern Swedish AWACS by which he can cover all over western indian border. Moreover, Indian best planes- Su-30- have never fought a real war, where as F-16 have (winning) IMHO Pakistan, could gain air superiority over northern India

@vaibhav371: Talking about russian complaints, well it happened coz India did not have AJT, while training aircrafts were only Hawker hunter and Surya kiran having a speed of 500-800KMPH or may be less than that. & when going with Mig-21, its not only a jet but a missile rather operating at Mach. 2.5. that is the difference. now as IAF have inducted AJT Hawk, accident ration has decreased drastically. u dont hear accidents of PAF coz there are media restrictions, dats not the case with India.

Other wise world knows which air force is Famous for Having Flying Coffins.
