@xreddragonx Really, Pavement! Of course, it was said during that whole Irony Era, so who knows. But Pavement had good taste in music so I'll give them the "too ironic to be ironic" benefit of the doubt. Check out the interview for Chrome "namecheck" at KCRW website then search Pavement 1997 (you need a real media player I think). Fun interview if you like Pavement.
The American answer to Cabaret Voltaire, and early inventors of Industrial Rock. I can't get enough of this band's amazing sound. Like someone else said, its "accessible" sounding even while being off-the wall unique and chaotic. Which is a lot of what I like about The Cabs.
my first chome song was on a tape I made from Peely, that tape was gold itself, 999 homicide was there too... I don't deny that its the best music around even now. John, here's to you brother, your spirit flies on!
Next to MEET YOU IN THE SUBWAY, this is my favorite Chrome song. Jeez they put out a lot of fascinating and riveting music. Unique, but still accessible, sometimes skin peeling creepy and sometimes outright funny.
Always loved this album still have it.
