Simply put its about the ghost of a psychic girl who was put into a coma, forced to have children and then left to die. her ghost uses her abilities to get her son who has telepathic control over a group of genetically enhanced soldiers to kill all those responsible in some pretty fucked up ways. well in my opinion. Games should stay games and movies should stay movies. It doesn't work either. I've played movie based games and they're terrible. And I've watched game based movies and they were awful to watch :( I prefer to play f.e.a.r the way it is :D having your character at your hands mades you crap your pants! i bet it would be scary as a movie but not as scary as the game.

I agree. Ever movie based game ive played was horrible. All those Ghostbuster games when they came out based off the movies. They were bad. I havent played another movie based game since then. I have played the new Ghostbuster game but it isnt based off the 1st or 2nd movie. It is in theory supposed to be the 3rd movie with its own story line taking place in 1991.

I'm playing it now (finally) and I just got up to the point where the guy appears and says "she's afraid of you." So far I don't think the game's all that scary. Incredibly atmospheric, disturbing as hell and creepy, but not really scary. Dead Space on the other hand scared the crap out of me, but it was so much more basic, like a "holy shit that thing jumped out at me" type feeling. FEAR is much more intellectual. I like it a lot.
