@poopyxloopy First, he doesn't take credit for the song. OneRepublic released the song long before the version with him. He only takes credit for the mixing he did. Second, he did a lot more than just make that noise. As with the majority of the releases on that album, his contribution was in the significant remixing he did of the song. It sounds way better (in my humble opinion) than the version released by OneRepublic alone.

Silverstein definitely does have some emo themes in their lyrics. It's not a big deal, though. I don't know why people get a negative context from the word "emo". I mean, look at their lyrics in "Bleeds No More":

And pretty much the rest of that album. The lyrics are emo, but that doesn't make their music any less amazing.
