  • I was supposed to be the one to get married with George :( (Sorry, let me dream a little.)

  • Who are the other two women? I read he dated the late Estelle Bennett of the Ronnettes for awhile.

  • Patti still regrets leaving George to this day, considering how he cheated. I don't know why. Poor Eric, having to deal with being second in her heart. That could not have been easy.

  • What a lovely blossom

  • For hidden messages in Beatles songs search Truth Contest, click on The Present, click on the Beatles section. Thumbs up on this comment.

  • GEORGE YOU HAVE A HOT WIFE

  • was 02:30 - 02:33 not the most adorable thing ever?

  • George may have ended up with Olivia, but i would bet my last dollar, that Patti was really the love of his life..

  • @jillzi7

Nah, I don't think he could've remained such good friends with Clapton after he took her if he really loved her that much :/

  • To your moth... *TWAAAAAAANG!"

  • I'd force my cock down the bak of her throat and cum then I'd cum in her vagina outa respect

  • Just an other groupy who carried everything she needed for her 15 minutes of fame between her legs.

  • @xpat73 cause she wants to grow up to bang two of the greatest guitar gods that ever lived!!! Thats why pattie boyd is her role model XDXDXD i dig it though, mad props to @MissBeatle

  • this song rocks like no other beatles song. not the commercial "hit" type song. but better than the "hits" in several ways.

  • Didn't they meet during the filming of A Hard Day's Night? Seemed like Olivia was the love of his life though.

  • @chrisput1024 Yes, she was one of the 4 women on the train. Also, Olivia was his true love.

  • @RantingThespian My God, too much plastic surgery!

  • Didn't they meet during the filming of A Hard Day's Night?

  • 0:47 aw, so cute. <3 (: and the kiss on the cheek at around 2:29 is adorable as well.

  • Amazing. Sorry. Can't spell!! Love u George. XXXXXXXXxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • I need you on the beatles album was also written for her. It is amzing.

  • Possibly the greatest of all Beatles song, yet so few people have ever even heard it. An absolute jam, with Ringo's best work, tremendous lyrics...something special. Great photo montage!

  • @GeorgeRBM1999 I would love to see the Fab Faux, the greatest Beatles tribute band of them all perform this live.

  • Excellent job with choice of pics and clips!

  • man i wish i lived in the 60's and was george's gf. :/ it isnt fair.

  • Always liked this song; those opening organ notes always sounded like the beginning of a hockey game.

  • When George married Olivia, Patti and he were still friends. Olivia was actually a friend of Patti's.

I think George and Olivia were very happy, and she had thier son Dhani. She hasn't married again. Lovely song, :-)

  • Did you know George wrote the song "It's A Pity" about her leaving him for Eric Clapton?

  • WHY IS IT WHEN PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THE SONGS WRITTEN FOR PATTI BOYD, THEY ONLY BRING UP LAYLA, SOMETHING, AND WONDERFUL TONIGHT? I THINK THIS IS THE BEST ONE, AND IT GETS NO CREDIT !

  • lovely :P

  • R,I,P george ,sadily missed but not forgotten,,,,,,

AMAZIN song, its all to much , here comes the sun, while my guitar gently weeps ,something , loads of amazin songs , my fav beatle, beatles for ever

  • it's strange .. both 'It's all to much' and ' Hey bulldog' on the B-side of a soundtrack..

  • 0:24 WHAT A SCARRIFYING PAIR OF LEGS! they are to thin...still she was lucky of having hot george harrison

  • elle avait de beaux atouts.mais seule la musique reste.................

  • Patti was all too much indeed.......

  • This song really isnt about Pattie. Just the one line about "long blond hair and eyes of blue" was about it. In fact, George took that line from the song "Sorrow" which was a hit song by a British band called The Merseys. His concept (he said) came during and after some LSD experiences which were later confirmed in his meditation.

  • @Kenoman29 .....it does not matter what song part is about Pattie in any of his songs .... it was evident in George's "eyes" in the multiple of interviews after their marriage, that he never quite reconciled what he felt about Pattie. It was all too much -- much later than that song. He could deny songs, song parts, but not what his eyes said.

  • @libbytate ...I didnt say it mattered. I just try to clear things up and post facts. If what you say is true, thats fine. I've always tried to post facts about their songs. And I posted a fact.

  • She and Jane Asher still look so good from the way they did in the 60's. The two of them were my "wanna look like" when I was a teen in the 60's.

  • i dont like eric clapton.. :S

  • George Harrison and Eric Clapton treated Patti like crap. She really got the short end of the stick. Atleast she can say she was the inspiration for some of the most beautiful songs every writter. But what a price to pay. Patti Boyd was and is one strong woman.

  • 2:57 george looks like jonny depp

  • This is a gem of a song by Harrison. Oh, and Pattie was really pretty too!

  • I love her so much. She's my biggest role model. <3

  • @MissBeatle How can a quasi-celebrity, who got to where she is by marrying a Beatle (lets be honest), be your "biggest role model." What a strange world we live in.

  • Recall The Who - song entitled "Too Much of Anything" - although I think those lads had something different in mind.

  • Thanks for one of the top ten Beatles songs. I prefer their rock tunes.

  • Oh she's too much..gorgeous

  • Ray Charles? where is that written. I read his auto-biography. I will look up what he says about this song.

  • I believe him when he said it was about Ray Charles. The Beatles didn't write in any sort of straightforward or logical manner - they drew inspiration from anything and everything. The words don't have to be directed towards Ray, but the inspiration may have been from him. And he dedicated the song to Pattie and pretended that he wrote it for her when he realized it was a great love song.

  • I'm sorry, I'm just not understanding where you're coming from.

Why would he have to pretend he wrote the lyrics about her? They are clearly written from a perspective of a loving husband. Maybe you don't understand for some reason.

I'm just not getting the denying. None of you seem to have a good explanation for his heartfelt lyrics which were obviously not about any random groupie or Maureen Starkey who he was shagging at the time.

    :-) good day chaps.

  • You know, the inspiration can go both ways. Maybe while he was writing the song "Something", he could've written a few lines inspired by Pattie, even if in general it was mainly Ray Charles in his mind.

Either way, there are two things that are definite:

    1. George writes amazing songs, no matter who or what they are about.

    2. Pattie Boyd is gorgeous, and even if she didn't inspire "Something", she has other songs so I don't think she's too worried.

    :D Good day chaps.

  • You should try reading Eric Clapton's autobiography where he tells us and both him and George Harrison had little respect for Pattie while each was married to her, often cheating on her while on tour and verbal abuse at home. And Clapton was a huge alcoholic once going the the hospital with 4 bleeding ulcers one the size of an orange. Pattie took a lot of crap and maybe she is a bit pretentious but she put up with a lot. And wow is she beautiful!

  • You are forgetting that for all of Harrison's cheating after they were married for many years, when they first met and for the first several years of marriage they were very much in love. True love. Where both of them were mad for each other and never left each other's side from the time they first met. The first thing Harrison ever said to her was "will you marry me?".

Harrison started to stray only after they were married for quite some time. They met when they were only 21 and 22.

  • Also, though Conner's death was a horrifying tragedy, you have to understand this is coming from the person's perspective who had her husband come to her to say he got another woman pregnant and would she consider raising Conner.

That must hurt as a woman when you are infertile.

  • Krishna bless George HarriSon

  • you know what 's too much; synchronicity, is too much. too fucking much, man.

    we are dead

    can you dig it.

  • well now we know where hendrix got the idea, don't we?

  • She was Ron Wood's girlfriend during a time

  • layla is by eric clapton

  • btw "Something" is not ispired from Patty, though she's a Great woman ;).

  • it is inspired by her.she is amazing,so interesting...

  • "Well no, I didn't (write it about her). I just wrote it, and then somebody put together a video. And what they did was they went out and got some footage of me and Pattie, Paul and Linda, Ringo and Maureen, it was at that time, and John and Yoko and they just made up a little video to go with it. So then, everybody presumed I wrote it about Pattie, but actually, when I wrote it, I was thinking of Ray Charles."

That's what George said! Check your sources. Have a good day ;).

  • yeah?I didn't know that..I'm truly disappointed.

  • sorry :(. But now you know ;).

  • Ray Charles? lol

  • yeah

  • Friday H: Something WAS written about Patty. George was just really pissed at her at the time and denied it was for her.

  • I belive that he wasn't thinking of Patty when he wrote it. Just because it's a love song, doesn't mean that it has to be inspired from somebody you love. ( and btw Love is a deep and complex thing, it has many different forms.)

  • Quite honestly, everyone can go on and speculate but the truth is you don't know what was in his head at the time and neither do I. We only know what the song says.

  • Or you can belive what the author said. But I respect that you have your own strong opinion. It's great actually. Have a nice day ;).

  • I do have a strong opinion about it and about George. I don't think you can believe everything he says, especially to the press and public. George wasn't exactly the most honest of people.

I think in order to retain some sense of privacy he'd lie to the media in an instant, especially with the affair of his wife and good friend being so open a "secret".

I'm sure his religion helped him make peace with it as he experienced his Instant Karma.

  • No, but l respect him. So, It's everyone's own decision. I decide to trust him.And I think I know what he mean when he said he was thinking of Ray Charles.

  • Really? In George's bio "Behind Sad Eyes"He's quoted as saying "it was a love song for Patty".I'm an avid Beatles fan so I've read or seen like everything and this is the first time I've heard this-where do you get your info?Sorry if this came out as sounding bitchy-lol

  • Many believe that Harrison's inspiration for "Something" was his wife at the time, Pattie Boyd. Boyd confirmed that inspiration in her 2007 autobiography, Wonderful Tonight, where she wrote: "He told me, in a matter-of-fact way, that he had written it for me."

Harrison had cited other sources of inspiration. In a 1996 interview he responded to the question of whether the song was about Pattie ( : "Well no, I didn't. I just wrote it, and..)

[look my second comment, there is his full answer].

  • I read "Wonderful Tonight"as well, and my view of Pattie was not in her favor after reading it;to me she came off sounding pretentious as if she really was this HUGE influence in rock history.Plus, she glossed right over Clapton's sons tragic death basically making it about her and how she never had kids.Very attractive, knows it,and pats herself on the back for it if you ask me.I think George was better off with his 2nd wife-she seemed much more low key and more his style-again,my oppinion.

  • I like your point of view. It's different ;).

  • I highly doubt when he wrote the words "attracts me like no other LOVER" he wasn't thinking about having Ray Charles as a lover.

  • I'm sorry if you still, even after listening The Beatles, can't see the real meaning of words. Don't take "attracts me like no other lover" word-for-word. If you sit down and think awhile, maybe you'll see that George gave the best answer he could ever give when he said that he was thinking of Ray Charles. (And that this song is very clever). Enjoy the sun ! ;). Btw, don't haste, give it some time.

  • Yeah, I suppose this song wasn't written for her either...

  • I honestly cant get over how adorable she was. God!! I'm not even into the blonde haired and blue eyed types.

  • Patti was a gorgeous creature.

  • Awesome!

  • The book is actually called 'Wonderful Today' and yes it is a great read.

  • Hmm...the book I read was called 'Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me,' but I looked up Wonderful Today and it looks very similar (autobiography of Pattie, co-written by the same woman, etc.), but slightly different name and cover. Does anyone know if these are the same books? Or the difference between them?

  • yes they are the some book. one is for america the other for england. I have read both books

  • I think they have that book in the student bookstore at my college.

  • @krt1985 they are the same books, I think they called it Wonderful Tonight because less Americans would remember her, but they'd know the name of the song Wonderful Tonight, so it would remind them.

  • omg,It was too bad that Pattie left George. They were so cute!

  • well, he had cheated on her with ringo's wife....

    i would've left him, too.

  • AWESOME! LOVED her book!

  • I love Pattie!! Thanks

  • George and Pattie were such a matching couple! What a pity she couldn't have children!

  • she couldn't??? i thought she just didn't want to.

  • she had said something as one point about wanting to have three kids.

  • i heard her in an interveiw one time and she said she didn't want any kids because that would ruin her modelling carrer.

  • no, she wanted kids and tried desperately to have some, but she was unable to.

  • where did you find that picture at 3:31? i love it!!!!

  • Can't remember exactly where I found it, but I think it's from their wedding day!

  • that's awesome. i wonder why paul is kissing her!

  • You know, it's probably like a"hey, good to see you"kiss.
