  • Was Superfly in WWF in 1986?

BTW - thanks for uploading these 'year in review' videos. They are freaking awesome.

  • @DAPDave McMahon had him lay low from the wwf following WM1 and when he killed his girlfriend. So he was working AWA and indy's at this time...

  • @MARCOCANSECO Thanks for the info. Still can't believe he killed someone. So crazy.

  • Wow!! I can't wait for 1987 ;)

  • "Hot Rod gets hotter"......that's why he was my favorite. :)

  • "You are a priority in my career right noaaaw" The Dragon really selling there! lol!

  • Holy shit!!! That Savage/Steamboat setup for their feud was unreal. I remember watching that as a kid and being so pissed at Danny Davis on an almost weekly basis. WWF 84-88ish was the best for me!!!

  • i remember this on TV..

  • Id say WWF took its best shot at becoming the driving force of wrestling starting in the fall of 1985 and it culminating on March 29 1987. Since then theyve never looked back

  • I didn't remember that Danny Davis played into the Savage-Steamboat angle. They never really had Steamboat go after Davis when Davis became a wrestler. Very interesting...thank you for posting.

  • Who was that in the promo with JYD

  • Blackjack Mulligan, one half of the old blackjacks, and the father of Barry and Kendall Windham

  • @tweecydagreat Blackjack Mulligan

  • Get him Bruno!!!

  • thanks

  • -It was one of the most devastating things I've ever seen, no excuse in the world for it, there was no reason by this slime, the so called champion, who has...

-Did they send him to the hospital yet? What's the update tell me man... in the hospital?

    -Are you happy about it?

-Did they send the hotdog to the hospital yet? Did they,,, put some mustard on him right now get him all set up for the champion right there? I'm so proud of myself!

-You piece of schlime, you're happy about it?!

  • no you fuckin idiot, I said the gimmick was racist, brotha walking down to the ring in chains.I didn't say the statement was racist you chode. I said gimmick, not statement you douchebag.

  • 1987 was the benchmark for the company.

  • R.I.P. J.Y.D. - "I got my new wife to hold in my arms, I got my ex-wife on March 17th" - lol

Even tho the gimmick was racist, he made it look cool

  • I don't think the gimmick was racist, I think JYD was being JYD. I've seen a few promos where he is very much his own man. Not too many faces talk about their ex wives!

  • 1986 & 1987 were really the golden years of WWF.

  • 1988, WM4 & Summers Slam! 86-89 was the best.

  • agreed...also88...and....89

  • Bruno was a big star in the day. But him beating up Savage made Savage look weak. It would be like Tito Santana beating down Edge now.

  • or more like when hulk hogan beat randy orton at summerslam

  • @pricean Well Savage could have been tired after his match with Steamboat so Bruno knocking him down is somewhat believable.

  • This is great. But Bruno as an announcer/reporter getting tough with savage?

  • That was awesome!

  • @pricean Your happy about it you piece of slime....LMAO

  • I love this u can see the change from the old format of wwf to the new late eighties transition here.. 1987!!!!
