  • Oh well, people who dont say good things about the Ridgeline are just jealous because they couldn't afford one.. Just saying..

  • I am 14 and I cant wait till I get my license and this is the truck I want!

  • Geez, if so many people would just get over having a "real truck" that they dont freakin need. Most people dont need the capability of hauling large amounts, if u do then go for other trucks. This has more useful things than a regular truck, not as pretty as a Tacoma or Silverado but gets a lot more done in terms of family needs. If your into Motorcross, ATV's, snowboarding, biking, this is a damn good truck. It fits more things than the Tacoma I have now, I should have stuck with the Ridgeline.

  • 14mpg?!!!!

    Ouch.

    I, know, I know, it's a truck, but still.

Diesels, stop start, cylinder shutdown, VTEC, there's none of that in the Ridgeline.

But hey, if you can afford a $35k truck, what's a few mpg?

  • @AshtonPhoto Ridgeline does have VTEC.

Also 84% of truck consumers use trucks to tow 5000 pnds or less...the Ridgeline fits into that category. This was a smart move for Honda.

  • is this car good in the snow?

  • @bbbhhgg Yes it is good in snow, I drove through UTah in it and colorado.

  • Daily driver?

    At 16 mpg?

  • @AshtonPhoto my truck gets like 14 so 2+ a good

  • has anyone noticed that the rideline is scary simaliar to the lamborghini LM-002. i mean side by side the ridgeline is just slightly updated an much more refined.

  • Fuck it, Fuck toyota and their fucking recalls, im going this fucking Ridgeline!

  • So i am looking into the ridgeline and the cr-v and can't decide between the two. I've always driven an SUV, but the ridgeline is basically the cr-v in truck form right? my only concern is probably the security of my cargo, but honda offers a lockable trunk bed cover for about $1000. any thoughts?

  • @xwishuweremex I love the Ridgeline, A friend of mine has one and it's terrrific. It's more like a Pilot than a CRV in size and handling. If I bought a Ridgeline I would deffinatly invest in the bed cover. Hope this helps

  • An advice to all the owners like me. If you see children around you just never back up. When you park always do it so you don't have to back up when you are leaving. Again "Watch up for kids" when you back up.

  • best truck ever!

  • I'm glad Honda didn't follow the pack with the Ridgeline. I think Honda did a great job.

  • Didnt follow the pack? This thing looks exactly like an Avalanche.

  • ...I guess you're blind?

  • Blind... in what world is this thing not a scaled down version of the Avalanche? Its the EXACT same layout...

  • I would be careful of using the word "EXACT, the outline may look similar, but that's it. The Avalanche has the two plastic triangle wedges that connect the two sides, if you take the wedges off it's basically a Silverado. You can't do that with the Ridgeline; therefore, it's not even close to "EXACT" and that not including the other feature either.

  • What are you talking about? If you remove the wedges you still have an avalanche.. the bed is still an intergrated part of the body just like the Ridgeline.

The bed isnt seperate as is the case with a truck.. in either of these.

Plain and simple the GM released the Avalanche and then Honda copied it and released the exact same body style sport utility truck. 4 door with the bed an intergrated part of the body.

Now I must ask if you are blind?

  • BLAH BLAH! You sure are blind. Show me how this "exact layout" is the same (height, weight, power-train, drive qualities, etc, etc)?

  • Show you how its the exact same layout... look at the pictures artard.

4 door sport utility truck with intergrated bed.... same fucking layout.

Of course they weigh different because the Avalanche is larger. But Honda did in fact copy GM's sport ultility truck design and this is WELL known by anyone with half a brain.

You must be some kind of honda fanboy. You are clueless.. you even think the Avalanche is the same as a pickup without the sails.

  • Another BLAH BLAH BLAH and using childish "F"

word still doesn't show how this was "EXACT LAYOUT". Remember, you said "EXACT LAYOUT"...now prove it instead of trying to get out of the question.

BTW, GM/FORD/Chrysler copied Honda hybrid cars.

  • "Another BLAH BLAH BLAH and using childish "F"

    word"

    1. I didnt use the "F" word

    2. Saying "F" word instead of fuck.. is childish.

  • How many different ways can I say this..

4 door sport utility truck with bed on body design = Same layout.

Yes.. GM did copy hybrid cars. And your point is? That I am big enough to know and admit that ulike yourself?

If you cannot plainly see that the Ridgeline is a scaled down version of the Avalanche then I feel sorry for you.. honestly.

  • You seem to think that because the ridgeline has different features that in some way makes me wrong. Of course it has different features.. but it is the exact same sport utility truck layout with the same design being 4 doors and bed on cab. You are wrong...

  • Look up the definition for the word "EXACT" if you don't understand what I meant. In case you missed, I've said "the outline may look similar"; therefore, I've acknowledged the similarity...but you kept crying about the "EXACT LAYOUT" and copy every features like 4dr-SUV-truck bed (which why I brought up the hybrid concept of copy because everyone copies...so stop putting so much emphasis on it...and Thats....my point.)

  • Of course they are not exactly the same.. but the ridgeline is an exact copy of GM's original 4 door sport ute concept. They are both the exact same layout.

Yes all cars are copied in one way or another. Its just funny that a few years after GM's release of the Avalanch honda had already used thier idea for a 4 door suv/pickup crossover.

  • Chris-sake....since you're still crying over it, for arguments sake I'll give you this...yes, the ridgeline "LOOKS" similar to the avalanche even four years laterbut that's about it.

BTW, stop using the word "EXACT" so loosely.

  • OH, My bad. You actually said "Fucking"...you never said "F"...yeah big man you are right?...or girl.

  • What are you 10 years old? I can hear you now crying about the bad man that uses the "F" word lol.

  • ...no, only little hot headed or uneducated people use profanity to get their point across...take your pick.

  • If you cant look at the pictures of these two and say.. yeah Honda compied GM's idea then you are simply pathetic.

You mean to tell me that a few years after the release of the Avlanche.. which is the first sport utility pickup of its kind, Honda just so happened to come up with a truck thats the exact same sport utility truck layout.

Give me a break.. your either a hopeless Honda fan boy or someone that enjoys a pointless argument. Take your pick.

  • Just remember.. you said the following which is total and complete BLAH BLAH ignorant bullshit. That statement proves you have no idea what you are talking about.

"The Avalanche has the two plastic triangle wedges that connect the two sides, if you take the wedges off it's basically a Silverado. You can't do that with the Ridgeline; therefore, it's not even close to "EXACT" and that not including the other feature either. "

  • For all the idiots Raging Honda, Just remember this thing could most likely Make a Decent set of rims and a Sound system look much better then Ford or Dodge will EVER. however i Love chevy but Ridgeline is my Dream Truck.

  • I like this "truck"

  • @miniheli

    It is a truck.

  • Excellent Review! Honda once again ranks supreme!

  • impressive!

  • honda rulz!
