Definitely, but Molly had spent the previous year being chewed up and spit out again, probably due to her refusal to do a lot of the things the expect "divas" to do. She had no credibility left after being jobbed out to Stacy Keibler every week in October. By this point (early 2005), Molly had asked for her release and was finishing up in WWE by getting Christy ready for WM against Trish.

No but close to it, this is one of the reasons she left though..jobbing to diva search girls. This was the start of the downfall of the great diva division.

Her last match was tagged with Trish Stratus at least.

I remember the random ass tag champs too lol...this entire era blew hardcore - one of the worst in WWE history and it's taken years on the diva division side to recover from it.

I dont mean to sound like I got an attitude, but that's not why she left. She left becuase she found a lump on her left breast. And she thought it was cnacer, becuase the women in her family has a history of geting cancer.

No problem, but in her DVD she clearly explains its one of the reasons why she left, not just cuz of the cancer scare. She was only gonna take time-off to figure that out and turned out benine and found that out pretty quickly so that wasn't really one of the determining factors.

I think it was the two together, and realizing "life's too short to be miserable" that resulted in her leaving not only WWE, but wrestling altogether. TNA would have gladly taken her in 2005, and being a protege of Dean Malenko would have opened a lot of doors for her in Japan, but instead she found happiness doing other things.

I think Christy did become a icon of sorts. She was the first diva search winner and maybe the best one ever(although Mccool is doing a fine job). She was energetic, charismatic, over with the crowd and solid in the ring. I would put her in the top 50 of all time, of the greatest women of wrestling. She did have a solid impact in the WWE and has improved greatly in TNA. Would you agree?
