Give her a break. These songs were taylor written for Dionne Warwick's voice. What Warwick made sound 'like a walk in the park' were some of the most deceptively difficult songs ever written.
@ssstate727 Not so sure. Aretha's rendition of "I say a little prayer" far surpasses Warwick's. Part of the issue is just to listen with open ears .. in pop, you anticipate according to the reading you know.

I own some albums from Burt Bacharach and Hal Davis, (have you heard 1967's "Reach Out" album?). In some of them, voice performers do not get the proper level for singing those pure melodies (except Dionne W. for sure and Karen Carpenter) and I am getting really happylly surprised hearing Trijntje giving a new "shape" to timeless music. Thanks for posting!

trijnje even in de leer bij ronald isley......trijntje gaat hier stevig de mist in zo vals...
ze luistert ook niet naar de sfeer en tekst van deze great love songs....
trijntje dendert op een spoor maar door ..een zeer calvinistische uitvoering
ze struikelt over de tekst en song heen..super vals...
het orkest doen hun best maar er is zo als altijd geen synergie tussen haar en
het orkest...geef mij maar rita reys judith nijland .......
