  • Was #77 on Spider Man?

  • I thought that #75 was part of mozart's requim

  • @Deadfox7777 Yes. The Dies Irae is a standard part of a Requiem (funeral mass).

  • 79. MONTY PYTHON!!!!

  • 72- lady in the water

  • Was behtoveen austrian or german?

  • 75 is far too low on this list. Dies Irae is like every EPUC!!! trailer movie music ever.

  • #80: Flamingos with yo-yos attached to their feet. xD

#78: Heard this very often at Christmas.

#76: One of my favorite overtures.

  • AAHH! Thank you kickassclassical!! I was looking for nº 75!!

I freakin' LOVE you guys!! ^^

  • Clair De Lune - De Bussy ... I recognise that in a totally different way from the rest, must've been in a film or something I watched. Anyway thanks a lot for making this top 100 list, absolutely fantastic! As someone already pointed out, it's very hard to find a song with no lyrics!

  • 1:30 number #72 Saint-Saëns - Carnival of the Animals

I now know what this beautiful song is called!

    BEST USE OF YOUTUBE EVER.

thank you kickassclassical, I love you man. No, I LOVE you.

  • I <3 CLAIRE DE LUNE ! (77)

  • Great list! I'm putting the ones I like in my favourites right away, so I will finally be able to put the names with the music. I like a lot, but have trouble remembering the composer and title as I'm sure more people do. My all time favourite is Barber's Adagio for strings. Curious what spot it is on in the list.. :)

  • I love this list so hard. It's making me think of so many wonderful songs i've forgotten about.

  • i started at 1-10 and i still know all the songs !

  • Wow, I've heard so many of these from old cartoons!! lol

  • FLYING CIRCUS!

  • 15 people have nothing to live for! quick call the suicide hotline! don't jump!

  • i know the most of these musics from Barbie`s movies and from cartoons...

  • #74 made me lol.

  • i disagree with claire de lune....!

  • @GraceOh Yes! One of our favorites :)

  • @GraceOh Ah yes! Clair De Lune.

  • 72: I heard that from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast."

  • @EgaoNoGenki Like @Massivecarcrash and @morchie717 pointed out way down in the comments, #72 sounds a lot like "West Wing" from "Beauty And The Beast," but isn't it exactly :)

  • @EgaoNoGenki Haha, even better!

    Its used for Benjamin Button

  • @EgaoNoGenki

I remember this song from game "Burnout Paradise The Utlimate Box".

  • 77 claire de lune is usually played by a solo pianist

  • lol the monty python theme :)

  • the last one....NODAME anyone?

  • #72 = SO FUCKING MAGICAL I CAN"T EVEN STAND IT!!!!

  • why is it that everytime i listen to these songs, I picture EVERYTHING in slow motion and blowing up and at least one happless guy getting slapped in the face by his girlfriend?!?!?!?! XD

  • shouldnt the clair de lune music be from the original (cough cough superior) piano version?

  • @looney1023 You have a point. The piano version of Clair De Lune is the original and some would say the best.

We like the orchestral version because it was used in Ocean's 11, 12 and 13 and in the Twilight movies :)

  • @kickassclassical

In Ocean's 11 there is a scene where the piano version of clair de lune is used(in the lobby when the team assembles for the first time).

Also, the twilight movies used the piano version of clair de lune.

  • @gtax3 Hey, you're right. Could have sworn Twilight used the orchestral version, but we were wrong. Thanks for the correction :)

  • @kickassclassical Twilight sucks.... but damn... I LOVE YOU FOR UPLOADING THESE VIDEOS.... I can't explain how happy I am to have all these songs in just 10 videos ... I found my favorites... thank you!!!!

  • Can you make a torrent or something like that with all those songs?

  • put clair del lune higher, just because of oceans 11

  • clair de lune is so much better on piano IMO

  • I love classical music, but I hadn't heard "Bourrée In E Minor" before, and it sounds like Jack's Lament from Nightmare Before Christmas. o_O

  • 0:10

    MONTY PITHONS FLYING CIRCUS!!

  • 72 is what they used to write Harry Potter's theme song and 71 is what Danny Elfman probably used to write the music for Nightmare Before Christmas

  • Thank you for taking time to post this...It's amazing how prevalent these pieces are in our lives...

  • 76 rules

  • When I die, Mozart's Dies Irae will start in my head.

  • @ForestG16

The "Dies Irae" is a standard part of a Requiem (funeral) Mass. There are several Requiems by several composers - and so there are several "Dies Irae" pieces.

#75 "Dies Irae" is by Mozart. #98 "Dies Irae" is by Verdi. Two different pieces by two different composers.

Visiting the website will help clear up any questions you may have :)

  • @ForestG16 what a dumb shit

  • @KupoImAMoogle

    it was!

  • Alan Menken's "Prologue" from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" soundtrack does bear a resemblance to Saint-Saëns' "Aquarium." But it's not the same piece :)

  • @kickassclassical: Cool.

  • @kickassclassical

I believe you are thinking of "The West Wing" by Alan Menken, same movie. It's the scene where Belle discovers the rose.

Thanks anyway for making these videos.

  • @KupoImAMoogle I thought it felt harry pottery? haha

  • Thanks for the correction. Man when I'm wrong, Youtube will sure let me know! :D

  • 72 was in an old movie!! does someone knows the name of that movie??

  • it sound a lot like the beginning of The Beauty and the Beast. it may be the same song

  • I'm happy to say I recognized nearly all 100. Mom & Dad raised me well!

  • Same here. :P *high five*

  • @hallefishaa well... recognising them is easy, as most of them are used in popular TV adverts and other sources of media... what would be a bit more difficult would be recognising their compositors and the names of each composition only by hearing them :D

  • @hallefishaa

    holy shit

  • Pfffft...Debussy is over rated.

  • 75 should be much higher

  • 72 reminds me of Beauty and the Beast

  • exactly what i thought

  • 71 is my school bell... O_o

  • @RavenMischke - you've got an awesome school bell! mine's just this obnoxious "ding-dong"

  • I'd prefer THAT. Now my school has completely ruined things for me. How will I ever enjoy that Bouree properly without being reminded to school...? :( Ugh.

  • Clair De Lune by Claude Debussy should be in the top ten.

  • 72 sounds wicked

  • And at the end of 79, cue giant foot smashing stuff.
