  • I've known you through the song @ Abba - Knowing Me, Knowing You (Lyrics)

  • This is my favorite ABBA song. This is beautiful song.

  • Winter scenes. Both couples hugging and kissing. An alternate clip uses boating scenes. Sailing is a favorite sport among Stockholmers and a pastime enjoyed by the quartet. Stockholm sits on the Baltic Sea.

  • here we have a rich Chorus voices mixed with some appropriate 70's and 80's bass lines and rythme . they never fail. Their sound is SUPERSONIC and unforgettable. 70's Dee Jay's would have nothing to play but BEATLES otherwise.

    the twin towers of love.

  • I could handle about a BILLION more Watts of this... it would never bother me.

good music can never hurt . It can never be loud enough.... I am that way.... sometimes the mildest sound that I don't like (*static) makes me crazy psycho punching holes in walls for madness. but my fav songs I could eat the speaker for breakfast.

  • people say things like gay or cheesy or whatever to describe music, because it affects them where they don't like it. They have not approved of the fact that they have been moved. Music strikes at the core of our being because of natural reflexes, sympathetic vibrations.

    and then some.

  • I loved bot Abba and Madonna but I'm adding twice as many Abba songs to my playlist. So who is better? This song is one of my favorites...but I have so many favorites of Abbas.

  • Abba sigue siendo una banda genial los adoro!!! :D

  • It is amazing after all these years these songs are so great, almost magic, ABBA was a great band, the movie Mama Mia revived a few of their songs.

  • what a voices....

  • This is my favorite ABBA song. Everything about it is quality. The lyrics, the melody, the harmonies, the backing vocals, the bass line, the piano parts, the production. Everything.

  • i dont how understand how listeners base a song solely on the lyrics.. No 1 component of a song is better than any other component. they're all equally as necessary. And the brilliant music in int entirety overrides the "depressing" lyrics. *ahh, listeners.*

  • The song is still as depressing as the "official" video.

  • @UglySean yes your comment is very ugly Sean

  • I think part of the reason their music was so popular is not just the music. There lyrics are easy to hear. If the words are clear enough to hear the story it makes a difference. The music also allows space for the voices. Sometimes music arrangements go into overkill with filling in the spaces. Silence is as important as the rest of the notes in music. Good fill doesn't detract from the basic melody. Bad fills go off into tangent never-never land.

  • Probably one of the most upbeat break up songs I've ever heard. Even though the lyrics are depressing as eff, you don't notice =P

  • @cunnilicker I know!! and i was into drugs and zepplin, black sabboth, etc. but still, i always liked abba. listen, i liked the 'carpenters, and bread' , but please don't tell my friends!!

  • jees, i had forgotten just how many hits they had! and i thought "fernando" was my favorite, but now i'm not so sure.....

  • Thank you for the posting. In my view, definitely the best Abba song by far!

  • What a sad song. Breaks my heart !

  • best break up song i will be singing this song for my ex-husband to be later loll

  • LOVELY SONG!:))))

  • this song is wonderful. i can't stop singing.

  • Loving disco music is not gay, loving same sex people is gay.

  • What has sexual orientation to do with music preferences? Loving disco music does not making you gay, loving same sex person makes you.

  • @nikat78 ok but this is not disco..

  • @bourlivak88 I know, I know, just had in mind some comments, refering to disco as well.

  • If it is ''gay'' to love Abba and ''straight'' to love modern music I'd rather be GAY anyday!!

  • @MiggleMuggle wht you think about bieber?

  • @MiggleMuggle nicely said ;)

  • ABBA's finest song. An all time classic.

  • lol bengt and bjorn are my uncles names :L

  • i dig the pulsating mega bass thats right in the middle of the mix-the norm in their greatest tracks/precious

  • I think it has more to do with your age than your sexual preference. I like this music because I grew up with it. My sons think it sucks. None of us are gay.

  • not just this one, but all ABBA songs are loved by majority of gays. that's because they are so perfectly composed, arranged and performed - and gays love neat stuff. the songs are also sweet, lacking the aggression and pretended "coolness" of many other rock pieces.

that does not mean that if you like ABBA, you're automatically gay. I have met quite a few straight, or... almost straight dudes who enjoyed ABBA a lot.

i know, it's all quite confusing...

  • the song is great and i love it the message of the song, they are great

    lol

  • gnda nang song nya nakakarelate ako ilove it ??? with the lyrics pde mung sabayan heheheh ??lol

  • Amo ABBA e nem é da minha época!

Tenho apenas 20 anos mais gosto muito deles

é uma pena que não façam mais shows,eu adoraria ir á um!

  • The fact that this song is from abba, don't make it automatically gay. This song can be for anyone, straight or not.

  • j'adore cette chanson

  • Great song, thanks

  • Many thanks ! Great song!

  • ..... aha there is nothing we can do......

  • Do you really hate this song because of what they say or think? Man, don't let the people rule your life :)

  • love tis song though it is kind of chessy

  • @misscherrytree123 nothing cheesy about that. geniously composed, awesome voices and great studio work.. cheesy is Justin Bieber

  • @bourlivak88 good point

  • Q hermosa kncion !! Kntan lindo

  • the 1:15 to 1:32 part is the most deep, if you watch the video from their greatest hits dvd, but even otherwise id say

  • like, like....znam te znas me !!!

  • This is probaly one of the best songs they did. This is coming from a non gay male.Thats funny.

  • I grew up on this in the Philippines, loved it then and still do, so does my Husband!

  • ABBA`s Sound is one of a kind....even to this day

  • so beautiful!

  • MUY BUENA XD

  • My favourite song from ABBA!

  • that is my favourite song by ABBA!

  • Growing up in the 70s this was one of my favorite groups. Back then you actually had to sound good, and if you had a band, you had a whole band to play the parts, no digital editing or voice alterated sound. Let the sweeeeet sound of Abba live on!

  • i love this song

  • THIS IS A MANS SONG!

  • prefer Steve Coogans rendition....seriously though this is one of their most crafted songs !

  • CARACAS É SENSACIONAL!

  • what means knowing me knowing you in german?

  • This is great music, I love ABBA. grew up listening to them. Nothing gay about their music, just people that don't like it that's it, morons.

  • one of the saddest songs...

  • OK So i'am a secret ABBA fan ..Thanks for those harmonies girls .. Love Kermit

  • thank you for this great music and videos Aleq

  • richL91604 I remember crying to my dad, begging him to help me! to bring that bastard back, now I can tell you I laugh about it, I know this may sound silly but give it time girl, no boy is worth a tear of you! I can tell you this for sure. You are free my friend!!! enjoy life, you only live once.

  • brilliant sound....thats ABBA.....wonderful

  • It's real Music.

    I love it. *__*

  • Awesome song! Amazing it cheers one up even in the midst of a bad phase! Dedicated to all those who're facing a breakup!

  • In 7th grade I was totally obessed with A.B.B.A and we were asked to do an informative essay on any topic that people may don't know alot about so I wrote a 3 page paper on abba, then in general music we had to construct a magazine with famous bands/singers and My magazine was once again about abba...I was totally obessed with them, I LOVE A.B.B.A!!!

  • When you hear on the Lyrics you can hear that the Song descripe the fissures that began to break f Abba.

    "No more carefree laughter

    Silence ever after

Walking through an empty house, tears in my eyes

Here is where the story ends, this is goodbye

    Knowing me, knowing you

There is nothing we can do

    Knowing me, knowing you

We just have to face it, this time we're through "

  • or this :

"...Mem'ries (mem'ries), good days (good days), bad days (bad days)

They'll be (they'll be), with me (with me) always (always)

In these old familiar rooms children would play

Now there's only emptiness, nothing to say "

  • You wish? :)

What little I know is that Stickan Andersson did some great work aiding ABBA with lyrics. and perhaps some with the music.

    But he died.

Also remember a documentary with ABBA where they admitted it is relatively easy to write a tune but then comes the dreaded work of putting lyrics to it ..... their own words. Björns and Bennys. So Stickan did help with at least 30 - 50 % of the production.

    But he died.

    So ...

    I don't know but I don't think ABBA was tired of E. O.

  • one of my favorites from Abba

  • me encanta abba..

  • Love it!!

  • Go on ABBA!!!

  • That's just magic!!!

  • abba forever thanks for the music and keep me happy thorugh the 70s ABBA ROCKS............

  • a tragedy abba separated & this is 1 of their last songs, splendid made to weep & weep. but they remain an honour of this beautiful country that is sweden.

  • beautiful song i very like their songs.

  • This song is so fantastic i like this song soo very much! <3

  • NICE WITH THE LYRICS

  • such a sad song inst it?

  • "Moving" is a better description. IMHO.

  • So know who I want to lament thissong to! Its the best tune in the world in the world!

  • btw I think the guitar harmony solo after the refrain means weeping, wailing and lamenting..it´s very expressive!!!

  • This song is very special..the guitars after refrain, the lyrics, voices and backing vocals, all is perfect..no wonder it was john lennons favourite song..

  • @bourlivak88 no way was it actually??

  • @opinionated246 yes, together with SOS..I don´t know why he liked this song (maybe simply because it´s obviously a good one :D) but I guess he liked SOS because of the mystic piano/synth sound in the verses..that´s the sound he was looking for in the Beatles, they often used sitar and tambura for it, which comes close but I guess SOS had the very sound he always wanted..

  • @bourlivak88 thats cool. where did you hear that though??

  • @opinionated246 I read that on the internet, some two years ago.. It was an article which seemed quite rare to me, but I can´t remember where it was, sorry :( .. he didn´t mention SOS in connection with the sound, he just said that he liked the "drone" sound of these indian instruments..and in another interview he said that SOS was his favourite pop song (it´s even on wikipedia).. and the mystic "drone" sound created by the piano and minimoog synthesizer was one of the main signs of SOS..so that

  • @opinionated246 so that´s my theory that he liked it because of that..

  • @bourlivak88 oh okay well thats pretty neat. but don't trust wikipedia, anyone can post anything on there haha

  • im in year 7 at school-we are singing this this!

  • I just saw "ABBA The Music " at the Hollywood Bowl. What a wonderful experience!. It was as if they were present on stage!. Thanks for posting the lyrics.

  • Where is animated version??? I like so much it!!!!

  • oh i just love frida's deep voice and agnetha's high pitch in this song...and the boys' back up voices too! they blend perfectly!

  • Thank you Aleq3 !! Simple and Direct.

We all worship the music, and adore the band.

    Anni-Frid,Benny,Bjorn, Agnetha = ABBA

Glorious , it still puts me into a rapture after all these years.

  • I don't care what anybody says!!!! I'm free! I'm coming out of the disco closet! I like ABBA. That's right. Waterloo. Mamma Mia. It's all good. I can't hold it in any longer. Take a chance on me? Oh, man that's good music.

  • Thank you.

  • @padude64 who told you that.

I fit perfectly with disco in 1977.

  • @padude64 Well as a Norwegian ex-army dude I say ABBA is easily compared to the best music ever made, like the Beatles, Bach and Beethoveen etc.

  • @padude64 You are sooo wrong...GAY?- who givs a shit. Quality song, timeless, insightfull, catcheee!. Take a chill-pill...

  • @padude64 I love this song and I am a guy. ABBA were fantstic and let's be honest we have all been though break ups and this song says it all

  • @padude64

what the hell are you talking about i`m a man, no gay and love this song and each and every of ABBA`s songs forever!

  • @padude64 : Nope: Not gay. I never wanted this song to be true for me but now it is. I am living this song out now after 28 years of marriage. My wife don't like me anymore. I asked why? she said...........Just everything!........That's a good answer huh?.

SEE YA! Don't let the screen door hit ya.

  • @bowlermikey Hey, I'm with you. Song's not gay ... it's sad, it's bittersweet which, I suppose, are feelings not usually attributed to guys. Btw, I got the same message after 12 years ...

  • @padude64 All the men i know love this song!

  • 1977 In london...Scotland beat england...what a 4 days in the english capital with my cousin John, you cant beat a Scottish accent!!!! memories. this song was playing as we left our friends!!!!

  • I find some "fans" here truly disturbing. Do you believe you can persuade someone into loving certain music by insulting them? The more nasty language on YT, the less I wanna visit and enjoy this amazing music. Giving someone a thumbs-down should suffice.

  • noo, i totally agree with u dude!
