  • 35mph is as fast as it will go. engine isnt the issue transmission is were its governed

  • its a nice tank (worked with it in Kosovo)but it is not a good as a leopard 2 recovery tank !! (1700ps,47.6 litre, mercedes MTU V12 multifuel engine,67 tonnes combat ready, topspeed normal 85 km/uur, at war 135 km /uur!!)

  • @orangek5

asemblee claims that 60 mph is max cause tracks are to heavy and damaging by rotary speed

  • @elveezultra

this is always a problem with tracks ,what i heart that the M88 could go 110 km/uur (70 miles??) with the rev limiter off ,thats still very very fast !!!

  • @orangek5

    right ! 70 tons ;) 9ClZE8zNCm0 <---look this tag

It is a recovery track vehicle not a tank. A tank has a big gun on the front of it.

  • we actually got one of these stuck out near rushdi mulla iraq. it was the most ridiculous recovery ever, we needed a hemmt to unstuck a humvee, then the hemmt got stuck so we had to get an m88 to unstuck the hemmt, anyways the m88 got stuck, so we had to go get another m88 to unstuck the hemmt and the first m88.

  • it will be ironic to stuck in the mud

  • might as well go play in the mud in the fiueld, youre going ot the washrack anyway! lol

  • Makes me want to join the army just to do that!

  • Nice!! 88's are awesome machines. I ran one back in the day and still miss hearing that big diesel roar and the tracks hammer on the road.

Lots of guys have had the privelege to be 88 drivers - damn few of us were good ones though.

    Am I smug and conceited??

    You better believe it!!
