I feel like I'm missing something big about why I see a lot of noise on youtubes 1080pHD setting for this video. It has to look better than what I'm seeing. I don't get it. The entire blackness is covered with a lightish grey digital noise screen..is this right? Man, how much for a camera that doesnt produce this noise? my flip ultra looks as good as this. There has to be something wrong with youtube. I have 64 bit and good graphics card..hmm.
What was the frame rate used?? Lower rates improve low light performance, and I can never tell what rate is used from watching a video because they all look sort of flickery and choppy to me. I dont know if it is just youtube or what....

Please post more about HFS10 settings you used, both to shoot it, and to post it. It is right on the edge of my broadband connection's ability. I can watch it in 720, but it takes 30 minutes to down load in full 1080 (we have terrible broadband here in No. California)
Great decision to use that piece of music with those images. Satie's Gymnopedies are very much like a lonely walk at night in a big city.
The thing that amuses me so much about low light critique is that, hey, photography is very much light reliant. The idea is that light is picked up and turned into the image you record. My opinion is if you want to record in the dark with no discernible shapes or colours, then perhaps rethink shooting :).
And also, I own this camera. Superb quality and performance, an absolute beast of a consumer camera. My only complaint is the lack of necessary peripherals supplied... but I'll live :).

i have this camera, i dont like the low light footage it produces very much - but this was nice. good work
my only critique, not much a fan of the zoom shots. also not a fan of stylized transitions. stick with fades, dissolves or hard cuts.
