Virginia Opossums on Fence

I like the possums, but "my fence", "my fence" " MY FENCE" - Americans! Everything on this planet belongs as much to any animal as to any human. We're fucking killing this planet by being so dumb and weak. I am radically changing my diet and carbon footprint this year, everybody. No it ain't easy, but it's not that hard either!!! Keep making those baby steps to be a more conscious human!! We are all in this together. Every little thing matters.

@wisesakura , thank you for your comment. I fully understand your point and agree that the human race could be doing more to keep the planet healthy. However, my video was not intended to be an eco-political statement regarding human property boundaries vs opossum rights to....um...be opposums. I merely videoed two opposums on the fence ,and I said the first thing vapid thing that came to mind. Opossums are alway welcome on my fence.

possums are very docile, not mean at all, any animal will bite if threatened, possums do not get rabies because of their lower body temp, and they eat mice, rats, insects and snakes. they are a good thing to have around, although many feel they could do with a makeover... ha. i like 'em.

Im in jersey...have one out on the fence right now. Little buggers are cute, but totally boring. Don't touch em! They bite!

yea i know. but i was just saying cause ur close. my dog just went after 1 last night that was on our fence and it was scary shit. the stupid opossum didnt move just intimidating her.

Those are the Brewer Twins, Gabriella & Isabella. They are not just straddling that fence. They are models for Tommy Possumfiger. They are practicing for the upcoming fashion show in the wooded swamp. I've been knowing them jills since they were joeys. Gabriella is the one on the left. Her picture was in Possum Glamour Magazine. She was voted best Miss Top Model this year. The reason Isabella left first she cant stand for Gabriella to be the center of everyones attention, she a little jealous.

From the looks of it , these O's were just chilling.They were probably eyeing some pet food before you found them. They are very peaceful creatures and go about their business a straight-forward manner.They were most likely waiting for you to get bored and leave. I had two of my own and they were soooo cute!!! I miss my guys.

Possums have a body temperature that is too low to incubate Rabies, so you have no worries there.

Why would you worry about possums on your fence?

You should have just gone to bed....

I got to see a possum in my own backyard just last night. I think possums are cute. Although the one I got to see up close last night had snot dripping from his nose. At least I got to touch the tip of his tail.

I believe the drooling (or snot)is a sign of stress, perhaps the beginnings of going into the "playing possum" routine.
