You not knowing is part of the problem. They have taken the religion out of Christmas and what it stands for. What if he was lighting a menorah while singing this? We would have to build five Holocaust museums to calm the Jews down.
My dad & I are Christians (**To be more specific, in terms of denomination, Roman Catholic.**) & we laughed our asses off at this song!; Why? Because you need to have what we like to call a sense-of-humor.
@tthomaselli2 Is this where I get to quip "Being Roman Catholic REQUIRES a sense of hunour"? :D It's funny because the guys who are hardcore Christ-heads and were getting all freaked out about this were talking about it "Holy origins in Christmas and the birth of our savior" not realizing that it wasn't a Christmas song for most of it's life and doesn't say anything about Jesus' birth. It's a song about the second coming and has no relevance to Christmas.

All these Right-Wing Christian idiots talking about the song's holiness and desecrating a Christmas song. Bill Donohueand several others were ranting about this on the news saying that the show and station should be boycotted by all Christians because of this attack on Christmas. The whole point of my original comment was this. So you saying it was funny was to....do what? You don't make a lot of sense.
