@Level80irl sorry dude, but when you play drums at this speed you have to hit with power, not like this...go to see mike smith, derek roddy, pete sandoval and many others that plays drums EVER with power.they use triggers 'cause they need a clear sound, but not 'cause they can only caress the drums at that speed...when i play live, i also use triggers for this reason, but my kick and my snare sound ever with power, also without mics...triggers are not to obviate a shortage..

@urmomismexican I don't think what he is doing is cheating, it's technique. I've yet to hear any one play that fast without triggers and still be powerful. Instead the sound becomes a faded rumble and that is a point about triggers. I've played with triggers once and you gotta be tight or it will sound a jumbled mess. But I do agree that you can "cheat" or make drumming a bit easier with them.
