we are playing a medley of this for 8th grade festival band. it starts out with part of the jack sparrow theme, cuts into I've got my eye on you, the cuts right into The kraken which everyone moves to lol and then immediatly back to jack sparrow to the end, sound similar to this but during the end of kraken we have toms set up and we play a nice rock beat into it. sounds amazing

Dumb question...Why are they all so spread apart? Wouldn't it be harder for the band members to hear each other correctly and stay in tempo with everyone?

Lol buddy. Tri toms. Har. We take a keyboard with a timp setting, which is what we're doing for our trip to Chicago this year. They sound like poop, but hey, it beats not playing at all. But for the tri toms, I'd try tuning them low as they can go, still retaining the G-A-B-D sounds as much as possible, and play with enough dynamic that you're heard without destroying the skins. GOOD LUCK xD
