  • Awesome job!!

  • if this is the same grace i'm pretty sure it is.. she's a friend of mine! we're on the aussie squad together :) she's a brilliant rider and oozes determination!

  • What an amazing job she did! You wouldn't guess she wasn't able bodied, go Grace!!! :) xxx

  • Really great! Her seat was great, and the horse is beautiful. An all around great performance!

  • that was a good ride :) i know what its like to not have much strength in legs...im just now getting them back..long story...but she rode well :)

  • i cheered grace on at this event - awesome!

  • i'm a parqa rider and it just takes training for the horse thts all

  • That horse is at the barn that I ride at:)

  • GO GRACE! hehe. my name is grace and i love riding. i dont so dressage but..she is really good. ya know, ...YOU GO GURL!

  • Quite impressive!

  • Good for her! I think she will have a future with this.. She is sitting much better than the ones that are not disabled. Have fun with the horse! You are very good!

  • That horse belongs to my riding instructors daughter. He is really sweet :)

  • Omg, Theres some right heartless people!

Shes doing amazing, a brilliant rider!!

  • Some people dont no how hard it is for them, i ride for a lady whos a para dressage rider, and she works hard!! and yeah if there disabled theyre not going to look as good as able body riders, but the horses lean the signals they ask, its amazing to watch!!

  • How does she give the aids when she's paralysed?

  • I doubt she uses leg aids since well.. she has no use of her lags. Im sure that horse is trained differently so she doesnt need to use leg aids.

  • Riders withough strength in their legs usually have some other form of communication. For example, one of the recent Grade II champions in Australia has little muscle strength, and so she uses voice commands and 2 dressage whips, one in each hand, instead of ther legs.

Its hard to see inthis video, but Grace has 2 whips, one in each hand, that she uses as a 'replacement' for her legs. The horse responds to them just as well, although it is harder to use whips than your legs.

  • what do you expect? she just recovered. no affence.

  • yeh, what do you expect...she cant move her legs so how could she control them from bouncing a little bitt

    she iss AMAZING

  • she's paralyzed. she's doing GREAT!!

very well ridden!! keep up the great work!

  • Gabbagail1--umm...what part of SHE'S PARALYZED don't you understand?

  • she actually is not parralizzed is she ?? she nearly was but i dont think she is x

  • why is this interesting...

  • If you knew how hard dressage was for an able bodied person then you would appreciate this a little more.

    Good on ya Grace!

  • how old is she? she is really good!

  • haha thats my barn! of course its really a jumper barn but it looks nice with a dressage set up lol she really well! alot better then I could ever wish to be able to do in dressage!

  • Aww this is soo sad :[[ hope shes btr. aww i feel so bad for her. I hope she will be btr and become successfull

  • P.S. Super Nice Horse !!!

  • Great Job !!! Keep up the good riding !!!

  • Very excellent riding! I watched the video 1st then read some of the responses and was amazed to hear that this rider is physically challenged. I couldnt tell. Very beautifully executed!

  • Great ride! Was this taken at the Pacific-Rim competition in Langley, BC, Canada last year? My daughter is also a Para-Equestrian rider from Canada. She was a 3-day Event rider until a riding accident in 2001. Good Luck Grace! Darlene

  • um good thing she can do a sitting trot. Im from America but Im pretty sure they do that everywhere...

  • having just watched the para dressage championships from hartpury, i am in awe of these inspirational riders and their fantastic horses who have to learn new techniques to accomadate their disabled riders.

  • that was great!

  • i don't get it

  • how did she get paralysed

  • I'm not sure. Grace is in England at the moment with the Australian para dressage team preparing for the World Championships to be held at Gloucestershire July 16-22.

  • ok thanks

  • Amazing!!

  • So..I don`t get it.

    Is she paralayzed here?

Or is this before the accident?

  • Yes Grace is paralysed with no use of her legs. That's what makes this sport so inspiring.
