For those that don't know this movie just came out on Bluray!! It's the exact same as the second DVD release for this movie. The picture quality isn't THAT much better but the SOUND is pretty incredible! Hearing this very song on 5.1 sounds AWESOME!!!

Dawn of the Dead MAY be the "better movie" due to it having a more powerful message and stronger, more relevant themes but ROTLD was a true trailblazer. There's SO many movies and games it influenced. Ahead of its time. ROTLD is more than likely my all-time personal favorite movie. Of all time. I have watched it too many times to count over the years and it never ever gets old. Dawn of the Dead is a great movie but a bad horror/zombie movie imo while ROTLD is the exact opposite.

@whostolecarlosrox I agree but all of Romero's zombie movies have a powerful, socially relevant message to them. Day of the Dead is a much stronger and more powerful film than Dawn is, imo, but Dawn is just so much more enjoyable to watch, just as ROTLD is. Dawn and Day have their flaws to be sure but, then again, most horror films do. ROTLD, like Creepshow, is one of those rare types of horror films that is so well constructed and so vastly entertaining that you never get tired of watching it.

I know. That's why I said Dawn is probably the "better movie" due to its themes and messages but from a fan standpoint and in term of movie enjoyment, I think ROTLD has it beat. I never want to sit down and watch Dawn while ROTLD is always watchable. I also think Day is very underrated and much better than Dawn. In other words Day and Return are my two favorites. IMO Return has NO flaws, it's pacing and atmosphere are incredible while Dawn serves more as a good social commentary.
