  • Wonder if there's any other footage of the Billy Cobham/George Duke band? IF THERE IS LET ME KNOW! was just looking at the live on europe cd..with the tour dates....i wonder, was the concert in Antibes, France taped(antibes jazz festival)? or the date in Amsterdam, Holland...Cologne? Lugano,Switzerland? PLEASE LET ME KNOW! THANKS!

  • I've never heard Scofield sound so good than at this show.

  • great tune, should listen to the version they played at the hofstra university.

  • This is the greatest jazz/rock band! in the truest sense of the word! The sublety and restraint that goes on in this band fly's in the face of all the 'jazz/rock critics'. this is music of the highest level - word has it that George is talking about them all going on the road again...please God!!! Europe here I come!!! return to Montreux?!!

  • Looking at the youtube listings, this entire gig seemed to be something very special....lucky people who were there! Thank God for YT that we can share it now....This is legendary stuff!

  • These guys are all killer musicians. Compare Cobham's current 'normal' touring band with these guys, and there is no comparison. Scofield and Duke, just amazing.

  • all amazing, nothing but FEELING, a serious lack in todays music, bring back the old skool musos

  • i lived down the street from john he still rules

  • cobham is the composer of this piece-

    totally genius

  • it's a VERY generic jazz-funk piece and not much of a composition, but nevertheless it's a nice basis for improvisation.

  • Unbelievable energy and peace! The music is at their command. John Scofield is God of Les Paul Junior. He never had better tone with another guitars. Today´s fusion music is cold, not cool.

  • I love the ARP right next to the Mini-Moog.

  • Is that John Cleese on guitar? LOL

  • haha, it's John Scofield

  • Yep great stuff and everyone appears to be enjoying themselves.
