hey man im concidering trading my es345 ($3,400)for a 50th and a good amp to go with it. I would like to have a blues JR. but i want the "big tank" sound now are you playing on a deluxe reverb? Sounds right for what im looking for a solid deep sound even fast
Guys hes not playing just any strat...Its a 50th aniversary strat-they have 54 custom pups, 2 piece ash bodies, and a solid maple neck. They are considered among the best limited edition strats ever.
I don't like the sound of the American standard strat, but Kas you can play hell out of ANY strat! You sure that's not vintage? :) Cool sounds yet again man.
i completely agree!!! i dont listen to blues, but it is by far my favorite thing to play on guitar. and there is no better guitar to fo it on than a Fender guitar. rock on!
Yes, you are right but it's hard to get a Blues feel without pentatonic/mixolydian scales. I'm still searching for the alternative after 45 yrs of playing.
hey dude, ive heard u can get these tapes called the never ending blues, where a bass and drums keep playing the 12 bar blues over and over again, do u no where i can find one?
I got the 60th anniversary strat. i cant get my strat to sound close to how yours sounds. i love blues like this, and i want to learn to play like this. i am now inspired to practice as much possible and to learn blues like that. thank you.
we are in 2007 -_-? i got my 50th anniversary strat' in 2006. how the fuck can you have a 60th anniversary in 2007... the fender's 60th anniversary will be in 2016. but anyway
Yes, I have seen the other videos ("Digitec Hendrix" is great) and it's obvious that you are playing...you are a huge talent (trapped in a small apartment). There is something about THIS video that looks fake, just wondering if anybody else noticed it. Really, though, watching you play has inspied me...Now I want to get rid of my PRS, stop trying to learn VH tunes , buy a Strat and learn blues.
Omriee's right- You're playing with feeling rather than at top speed like all these Trivium fan boys who think that being a good guitar player is all about how fast you can play.
You sir- Prove them ALL wrong
I keep trying the blues, but it always ends up as something else- Like what Rivers Cuomo of Weezer would play
Keep that Amar Sundy feel going Kassad62! You'll soon be jamming with him. You've got a great tone which is just right for Blues. I just got my 1973 Strat back after having a complete re-fret. It feels great and has a slim neck like your one.
Oh yes....coming from an OG, 55 years of age....bitter and contemptuous of clubs and playing....I still go good stuff when I hear it. I prefer the tele thinline, tele custom, and tele deluxe but that's me. You got the chops to move forward. Where you based out of? Maybe we might meet? I still play irrespective of my contempt for the bidness. Keep it up.
This is much better because there is more expressive content. But yet, there are still spots where you just toss of licks for seemingly no reason. If you got a phrase or a note or a sequence, make sure it works for you and goes home tired and sweaty. Your tone and technique are pretty damned killer, though. Just needs a little extra something for the next level. Keep pushing.
Blow me away! You really are a great blues player! Please keep posting your music, I really enjoy watching you play and love listening to your blues. Your phraseing is out of this world. Thanks for making my day!
Great stuff Kassad62! I'd rather listen to you than 98% of the so called music they put out these days. Please keep playing, love music that has depth and feeling. 5stars!!!
hey, pourquoi pas ! J'ai vu ta video de little wing, j'avais pas fais gaffe que t'etais francais (merci internet...). Tu as un super son je trouve. ;)
I play since i'm 16. And now, i'm 31. But i didn't play for a few years. I'm back on music since 2 years. I bought my first strat and sold my old Gibson Les Paul. The Stratocaster is THE guitar to play blues (to me of course...)
I think the "Valvetronix" is better suited than the Roland Cube...at least for a Strat. I've got a Roland Cube 60 and i can't obtain a sound like that on it. (Even with my rare '73 Fender Strat) Fender & Vox go together perfectly! Always have since the early 60s.
