I thought the movie was meh. It sucked how the french dude just ripped SH's plot by the heart. Once he replaced Harry Mason with "Rose", there really is no use in trying to snake around that fact and make an SH 3 movie with Heather in it, where she's not even an incarnation, just another person.
I agree, i'm American and I live in the south. A lot of people here are basically moo-cows (tee-hee...moo-cow..) but I know i'm not . _ . and a lot of people aren't. hooray for understanding \o/

If the percentage even came close to half of their population being unable to read, they would be labeled as a third world country and in fact, they are not but rather labeled as the land of opprotunity. Have you you ever thought that maybe the reason the illiteracy rate is up there is because of the many immigrants who go to America? They are counted in the population as well.

I looked back on this conversation and it's simply you furthering a thought that every high-schooler who enjoys reading has had. In the real world many people like to read, many people don't- countries have little to do with it. American literacy rates are nothing to scoff at. No more lacking than in any other English speaking country. I'm sure he same number of adults/children hate reading in any country where it is no longer considered a privilege, and is more a bother.

Dang, the description is incredible. I personally think they did well on the making of the movie version and I love the Room of the Angel...they fit so perfectly with the concept altogether this makes a really well-done video :) It's not just horror that makes us afraid, it's the horror within humans that make us fear. Just, I thought you should know, if you didn't already, I believe the song is called Room of Angel and is sung by Mary McGynn I believe. Just I don't think it is Lullaby, although that is a suiting name.
@TheMissAvengelie "BIG SPOILER" well the burned child finally got her revenge at everyone in the church. the video cut some parts of the ending. so the child that you see thats controlling the wire is the child who was burned, the other child climbing the ladder is the evil side of her, and finally the child roped to the ladder is the good side. see the movie you'll understand alot better. sorry for the spoiler everyone.
A few years ago two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said "Get the kids and get out of the house, we'll call the police we don't have a clown statue". The "clown statue" was actually a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this on 10 videos tonight the clown will be in your bed at 3:00am with a chainsaw in his hand. Sorry don't want this to happen to me
I just love this song... Its beautiful yet horrible. I imagine myself slowy falling asleep to this song, losing my strenght when my friends needs me, eyes closing as the song goes... Thinking how nice it feels, how much my friends need me at this moment, letting them down to their death.
Silent Hill is so good at making you feel alone when it comes to music or their games. It's probably what I love most of them. They teach the protagonist a lesson in their life in a brutal way and make the player feel alone and helpless. Sometimes that is a pretty great feeling to have to get more immersed in the game.

@ZlashQu Excellent description, it is a dark beauty, a rose with thorns, an evil sunshine. And I must agree with you, the lyrics are terrifying and intimidating when listened to properly. When I first heard this song, I didn't think of what she was singing, just that it had a nice sound. But on closer inspection, lines such as "You were always the one that I despised." along with the excellent music make it a truly harrowing song which I will remember for a long time to come.
@mcrazyaz yes they are making another film. Its going to be in 3D and should be coming out in 2012 its based on the game silent hill 3 and basically Heather out of silent hill 3 is now turning 21 and she enters silent hill. Its going to have Dahilia, Christoper (rose's husband) and Rose out of silent hill init played by the same people too.
I read somewhere online that they're planning on making a second Silent Hill movie.
I just hope that it's as good as the first one and that Hollywood stays the hell away from it. The director that said Hollywood would ruin a Silent Hill movie is correct. If Hollywood gets a hold of the second film we can kiss a good movie goodbye.
@mrcrazyaz It's going to have Sean Bean in it :) The guy from the first one, and on a game of thrones and who is also Boromir on LOTR. But I do agree with you, the Hollywood type people would fail to see all the horribly dark tones of silent hill and make it a movie that is scary on face value only. Which, isn't bad, but Silent Hill should have scary deep tones which are then supported by the superficial.
As a Silent Hill fanatic, the movie stayed so very true to the game.. The best story line music and game design hands down go to Silent Hill.. Akira Yamaoka is the best!

Silent Hill is so good at making you feel alone when it comes to music or their games. It's probably what I love most of them. They teach the protagonist a lesson in their life in a brutal way and make the player feel alone and helpless. Sometimes that is a pretty great feeling to have to get more immersed in the game.

@ZlashQu Excellent description, it is a dark beauty, a rose with thorns, an evil sunshine. And I must agree with you, the lyrics are terrifying and intimidating when listened to properly. When I first heard this song, I didn't think of what she was singing, just that it had a nice sound. But on closer inspection, lines such as "You were always the one that I despised." along with the excellent music make it a truly harrowing song which I will remember for a long time to come.

Its going to be in 3D and should be coming out in 2012 its based on the game silent hill 3 and basically Heather out of silent hill 3 is now turning 21 and she enters silent hill. Its going to have Dahilia, Christoper (rose's husband) and Rose out of silent hill init played by the same people too.

I read somewhere online that they're planning on making a second Silent Hill movie.
I just hope that it's as good as the first one and that Hollywood stays the hell away from it. The director that said Hollywood would ruin a Silent Hill movie is correct. If Hollywood gets a hold of the second film we can kiss a good movie goodbye.

But I do agree with you, the Hollywood type people would fail to see all the horribly dark tones of silent hill and make it a movie that is scary on face value only. Which, isn't bad, but Silent Hill should have scary deep tones which are then supported by the superficial.

As a Silent Hill fanatic, the movie stayed so very true to the game.. The best story line music and game design hands down go to Silent Hill.. Akira Yamaoka is the best!
