    What a surprise!

  • When i was a kid my dad kept guns loaded and unlocked in the house, he taught me not to play with it like a toy. we did take them out back and shoot them. i have never killed anyone by accident. Im now 21 and own my own handgun and keep it loaded and unlocked. you have to teach your kids people!! And my friends know not to pick up a gun in my house without asking me first and checking to make sure its unloaded.

  • Everyone has the right to defend themselves but in the U.S.A. they put forth

stumbling blocks of justice. The the case for gun control women and elderly

have no rights for the option of self defense. The argument for gun control

is not for punishing the criminal but really is hurting the defenseless. Not to mention what real rights do we really have in America health care is B.S.

the drug war benefit criminals and big government and creates more corruption.

  • But over all murders in England have increased, the gun death have just been replaced by far more stabbing death.

  • What people like warriorprince1010 fail to realize or admit, is removing the tool does not stop the intention. The UK has an extreme knife culture, to the point Bobbies considering wearing chainmail!! Since the firearms ban stabbing jumped in amount. people are still killing people. No matter how many CCCams, no matter the laws you pass, or tools you ban. What stops it is education intervention of abusive behavior early, and a prosperous economy.

Many in UK do want guns, many still own them.

  • @illyounotme We need someone that has your way with words in the white house in America, I'm tired of people making laws that counteract others, out bill of rights cannot be infringed in any manner, and yet everyday there are laws passed that stop our bill of rights dead in its tracks. To bad there's no perfect place to live, I just want a better place for my children, less fighting less war, and the rights of all animals alive not just what we think we need.B/c remember Humans are just animals.

  • I'm not a criminal and I'm under my own orders, not the orders of a corrupt political system.

  • @warriorprince1010 As for not wanting guns, well you are wrong there. Your citizens had guns, but British politeness, & trust of the government tricked them into turning them in for the ban. Too late did they realize they were wrong. Since then there has been much of these exgun owners from the UK who warn us in the USA to never let them take our guns away. Your UK exgun owners have had rallies & protests fighting to get their guns back. They want to protect themselves from all your crime.

  • @warriorprince1010 yet now your Bobbys are having to wear guns, & body armor due to the rise in gun violence since your ban. I think you've fallen for the anti gun propaganda that your country is feeding you. Your ban didn't work, it made things worse. Now the criminals have ready access to firearms & the normal citizen doesn't. Crime statistics show you're worse off having lack of access to firearms. Since the ban the rate rose for crimes involving handguns. So your own country disproves you.

  • @warriorprince1010 over 400 firearms are seized every month in the UK, but citizens are not allowed to arm themselves against all these illegal guns out there.

    BBC News 16 July, 2001

A new study suggests the use of handguns in crime rose by 40% in the two years after the weapons were banned. he Centre for Defence Studies at Kings College in London, which carried out the research, said the number of crimes in which a handgun was reported increased from 2,648 in 1997/98 to 3,685 in 1999/2000.

  • @warriorprince1010 You have also had most of your guns taken from your citizens, your Olympic shooters can't even practice in your own country.

  • @warriorprince1010 I also notice you did not address the issue that there are more guns per capita in Canada. If your theory were correct, then Canada would have a much higher murder rate than the USA. Oddly it does not though.

You seem to miss the point of who a country is being kept safe from when citizens are allowed to own guns. It is not safe from common criminals, but to protect against the tyranny of their own Government that the right was guaranteed remember they were Revolutionaries.

  • @warriorprince1010 solders are just as accountable as anyone else for illegal actions, just ask all those Nazi's. Also even if some politician grants you "legal right" as a soldier, or cop to kill in the name of politics, that does not make it right.

So again, it is not the gun, It is the person who is the problem.

  • @warriorprince1010 if guns were not good for keeping countries safe, then armies would carry flowers not rifles. The issue of murder rate does not have that much to do with gun access, it is much more to do with the problems of drugs, economic injustice, and just stupid criminals. Canada has more guns per people than the US, but less murder. It is not how many guns, it is not even guns at all. As people point out it is not guns that kill, it is the people who decide to use them to kill.

  • thet pompus smug fucker siting in his $1000 leather chair and $100,000 house has no need for a gun because he more than likly lives in a nice gated counity with security, I invite him to come to flint MI for a year and see if his views change after he gets stabbed a few times for being a total duochbag.

  • "Why dont you fight with your bare hands like a man?"

AND IF IT IS YOUR SISTER OR YOUR MOTHER ? WHAT THEN GENIUS?

THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE BIGGER AND FASTER AND CRIMINALS ALWAYS MAKE IT FAIR RIGHT?

BRING A KNIKE TO GUN FIGHT.

  • Those who seek to ban guns forget one important fact: Those who defend guns rights own guns.

These gun-ban fanatics seek to rely on arms, carried by NWO thugbots to carry out their wishes through threat of force.

    Makes perfect sense, right?

A Covenant not to defend my selfe from force, by force, is always voyd.

    - Thomas Hobbes

  • Good stuff. And your friend with an sks had made an excellent choice. The sks was my first rifle. A fine tool.

  • "Why dont you fight with your bare hands like a man?"

For the same reason I use a shovel to clean up dog feces. I use my hands to work. When I fight for my life my hands are for using the tools for that purpose.

What about the Elderly, Disabled, or just happen to be smaller and weaker than the thug who's attacked them or decided that they need their savings more than the people who worked for it so that he can buy drugs or some idiotic piece of bling? Are they cowards too?

  • Well simply put you need guns because other people have them, and knives, swords, bows, crossbows, explosives, poison darts, etc...

You see with people out there with guns, if you don't have them then you are at their mercy. For example, try telling a cop "no you wont do what he says because it is not illegal & he does not have the right." He will tell you maybe not in words that the gun he is carrying is all the rights he needs. The reason US citizens need guns is protection from Government.

  • More people die in Gun Free areas than in Gun permitted areas...........because if the would be bad guy is gonna kill people hes got on his mind that instead of him being the all powerful murderer with a gun....hes got people around him that will defend themselves with the same force.

  • That is not based on any fact. Here in Canada, we are not permitted to attain firearms. We here in Toronto have always enjoyed crime rates lower than just about every major metropolis in America.

  • Really? When did the laws change in Canada? When Michael Moore made Bowling for Columbine Canadians averaged more guns per capita (thats the ratio of guns & people) than the US but a dramatically lower amount of gun crime.

In fact As of June 2009, the Canadian Firearms Program recorded a total of 1,846,988 valid firearm licenses, which is roughly 5.52% of the Canadian population. The four most licensed provinces are Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia.

You are in a gun area then.

  • Not permitted? Better tell the folks at Nick's Sport Shop Ltd, the Forest Hill Revolver Club or the Canadian Shooting Sports Association about that. They may need to know. (chuckle)

  • My, British accents HAVE changed....

  • guns kill in the home because parents don't educate the children. they hide the gun from the kids, and when the kids find the gun they think it is a toy,and don't know any better. it all goes to education. by the parents not the retarded ppl of the state.

  • yep your very right, gun safety is gun education

if people really didn't want objects that could kill people if in the wrong hands, cars would be illegal

  • Agreed.

  • Cars are meant for transportation though. What else are guns for aside from causing bodily harm to others?

  • Well there is hunting, marksman competition (which is Olympic sport), trick shooting, etc...

Now by your logic though if guns are for only bodily harm then cars are only for filling with gas or for stopping at traffic lights or even for crashing into a house while drunk driving.

You see only taking one part of something and saying that is its only purpose is a nave view. It is the old saying guns do not kill people, people do. The gun is only a tool. What you do with it is your doing.

  • I have a pacifist friend with an SKS that lover to go shooting and mud puddle hunting. He is an amazing paintballer too. If you tried to hit him with your fist he would let you though even if he held his gun in hand he would let you beat him up.

That is an extreme example but a true one. My friend understands that it his choice to be violent or not. He sees guns as fun and not a horrible evil. Only the person can make the choice to do bad things.

  • this is very late...but i think it's worth saying.

you're very right.. the same parents who blame guns for their childrens death are the same parents who blame violence on music...they just want to cover themselves up, and put the responsibility for their horrible tragedy's on someone or something else, so that they don't seem like the bad guy.

they're irresponsible, brainless, spineless buffoons who never had the sense to teach their kids about their surroundings.

  • @evcrawfish I agree completely. If you have a gun and have a family you are accepting a huge responsibility. It is your responsibility to educate your family in how to operate that weapon in a safe manner. By showing it to the kids at a relatively young age, you remove the "taboo" factor from the weapon which makes kids so curious.

I grew up with guns in the house and while my friends would always just want to touch and see them, to me they were like a kitchen knife...
