I'd rather be "crazy" for a couple months while my hormones balance out than have to stress every month over getting pregnant. BC is awesome, you're trippin. If you felt that big of a change when quitting then that wasn't the right dosage for you. I had to quit taking BC for a couple months and when I quit, I didn't notice any change in my body because my Dr found the right one for me. You seem like you're totally against it now, but you can talk to your Dr about what happened and fix it.

I stopped using the Mirena a few years ago. My mom warned me not to do it. She had bad experiences in the past. For about 3 years my body changed. no matter how often i worked out i would gain more weight. My hair texture and skin changed. I talked to my doctor countless times and she was totally against me taking it out. so i went elsewhere. within 1 week i noticed a huge change. My cycle isnt bad like i hear many women complain of. My cycle only gets unbearable with stress.

I was taking Yasmin and had similar side effects. They make u feel like ur on an emotional roller coster!!! Also for whatever reason they made me horribly nauseated.

I have switched to the nuvo ring. So far no side effects. It's worth checking into :)

So what kind of alternative do you use? You are not giving us other alternatives for birth control, i'm sure a lot of young girls don't know what to do if they should not take birthcontrol pills and we don't want to see them ending up pregnant! lol
