  • Found out mine was real today!

  • hey everybody, another thing to look for on authentic german crosses is that the swastika seems to "rest" on the corners, a lot of latvian junk (reproducctions) were the swastika sits have gaps big enought to drve a bus truh

  • im a little confused about my iron cross, the middle is magnetic and the ring has a stamp (looks like a 2 and a cross but id have to get a magnifying glass). but i cant see a seam :(

  • @evilyakko The cross also rattles in the frame but without the seam i convince myself its fake.

  • @evilyakko ohh nvm i fudn the sea at te top near te loop where its too tight to polish LOL

  • I Love this medal!!! Such a beautiful medal!

  • Iron cross cores were also made from brass and zinc, so the magnet test will not work on these crosses.

  • @TRcollector

i heard that if you try to attract it with a magnet center must be magnetic.

  • @ivan3653 If the magnet sticks of course the core is magnetic, but nonmagnetic cores don't necessarily mean the cross is bad, many good crosses have nonmagnetic cores

  • @TRcollector should there be anything on the other side of this medal?

  • @infernogamers There should be 1813 on the bottom of the reverse

  • @TRcollector thank god i got a real one then i thought for a second it could have been fake becaquse it only had 1813 on the back!
