Listen, JLP is gone, and he was a genius, but Chris D. wrote two records (No Questions Asked/Minute To Pray) that are on-par with anything The Gun Club ever did. And he's the only vocalist alive who not only knows *exactly* how Jeffrey sang, but can actually replicate it.

This is the closest thing you can get to the original Gun Club without bringing JLP back from the dead. No one can sing Gun Club songs as well as Chris D. Period.

I hope beyond hope that this is a mere "tribute" show and NOT as stated a "reunion". This is a Gun Club song, but there the resemblence ends as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather see Chris D. performing Flesh Eaters stuff, though personally they never meant anything to me. Being from the UK the West Coast US postpunk that reached me was stuff like X and The Gun Club. And by that I mean Jeffrey Lee Pierce specifically, not Ward or Kid Congo. And I prefer Tito Larriva's production on FoL anyway.
