hey i like this version of mandriva , i went from 2008.0 powerpack to 2008.0.1 powerpack spring and am right now after purchasing 2009.0 powerpack will release video of transition later excellent distribution for beginners to advanced users alike

Almost everything you'd want will be in the "repositories" which means you can just go to the add programs section like I showed in the video and search for them.
The flip thing is part of compiz-fusion. Make sure you have it installed and enabled and then you can change what key it uses in the options. I think default is ctrl+windows and drag the mouse. Something like that.

Fairly close. It's an Inspiron 9300. Specs are in the description. One of the few with the UXGA screen (1920x1200 17 inch).
