  • im 12 and we do this on our swim team with better technique and harder stuff.

  • Nice video. The exercise would be effective for beginners like me. I do know a link of a site that gives information on how to gain lean muscles and develop a lean muscular look at the same time. The best thing its all FREE. Youtube won't allow me to post the link but you can check it on my profile.

  • wow..i weight 190 pound, 5 feet, 21, i want to lose weight, but maybe i can do this in a shorter way. =D thank you for posting this video up...

  • KILLER!!!

  • this is stupid

  • Jakooo !! :D

  • For those who don't realize it, this workout is a superb core workout. This will definitely help you get a lean physique, like that of an elite swimmer, if your diet and genetics are solid. The swimmersbody name seems to be bringing out some negative comments which I don't quite get. This would also be an excellent dryland workout for swimmers.

  • @GenericCoolaid no problem, I think it can`t damage. But for confirmed athlete maybe it`s a waste of time ;-)

It`s better than nothing and helpful for fat people, but I do it never.

  • I would have thought if one wanted a 'Swimmers Body', they'd go and swim lengths for a few hours. Or am I still old school?

  • Lol what losers :D

  • if you look at 1:07 you clearly see his beer gut...if you want a body, play waterpolo.

  • @CHiLDR3NGaming waterpolo is for rich people... this is more accessible

  • im a swimmer and i did this.... i thot that i died and came back to life!!!!!! It hurts sooooo bad!!!!!! IF U R NOT STRETCHED PROPERLY BEFORE U CAN HURT URSELF BADLEY!!!!! MAKE SURE U STRETCH!!!!!

  • WTH!!!

And btw, where is your swimmer body buddy????

  • With this cat-dance you can never supplant the work in water.

You can`t get a body from a real swimmer without real training.

Use XXL-Paddles if you like to look as a human.

If you remove this Comment you are a Loser :-)

  • @123456TZ123456 Couldnt agree more. XXL paddles rule

  • @iammdeepak1 what are xxl paddles?

  • @overlord3069 They are swim paddles you wear on your hands.! THey increase resistance to normal swimming, and hence give you a very good workout

  • @iammdeepak1 thanks so much. i wish i had access to a gym that had a pool. I would be swimming all day haha. To be honest i dont think any excercize can truly supplement the actual activity you are trying to do.

  • @123456TZ123456 xDDD

  • @123456TZ123456 what is XXL-paddles?

  • @faisal2401 They increase the resistance in water... but you don`t should start with large paddles if you beginner. Nothing without warming-up, too.

  • @123456TZ123456 so swimming heps better to get the V shape rite? if it does which style would it be? breastroke, freestyle, buterfly or others maybe?

  • @123456TZ123456 XXL paddles are really nice if your fit enough to use em, if not you can really hurt yourself... just be careful and most importantly dont forget to strech ;)

    Cheers,

  • i love this work out.

  • haha i love the no word shit.( sad word0) ..yeah they swim? In the garden of eaden.......please i am alice in wonderland?

  • its better to let them stay off the pool, more space for us ;)

  • does swimming increase height?

  • @allbusiness22 basketball does for sure...

  • @BeamingSplendor u sure bout that bro? most male swimmers are around 66

  • Or you can just swim....

  • haha those were sit ups? looked more like a gorilla squat. ridiculous. your speed is called cheating.

  • @wojtek0000 rofl gorilla squat

  • need cardio. thats it. 3 hour practices all week. 6 hour on saturday. brak sunday then repeat

  • every exercise this idiot does is in bad form and not executed fully ... And You Can't Have A Swimmer's Body Without Swimming!

  • fat dude needs cookies!

  • I've done a lot of these exercises on swim teams, but that's now how you get a swimmers body. The answer to that is obvious: swim. & swim a lot. 2hrs a day with 2 days break a week should be fine if you just want the body. & none of that rest crap or slow swimming. U better swim those 200's like you like them. & You better be kicking lol. Jk... just cracking on all the bs free swimming I see around pools.& don't over train in the beginning... ease into it. gonna take >2months if u've never done.

  • @bullyflea

lol you are ignorant .. swimmers do resistance training too ... the only thing you need to do to look like a swimmer is to build your upper body by doing resistance training and have a low bodyfat percentage around 8-10%

that will give you the V shape body that swimmers have .. is as simple as that

  • fat dude in background

  • 2:31 - 2:50 is irdiculous looking XD

  • what does this have to do with getting a swimmers body if you want a swimmers body y dont you just swim this has nothing to do with getting a swimmers body

  • this workout looks brutal...but the trainer himself does NOT have a swimmer's body.....he looks kinda fat

  • Brutal work out. Im out of breath, going to keep with this work out till i take my 12 continuous laps test.

  • SAMPLE SET: E.G. 8x100 free on 1:30 descending (each one faster than the last) 1-4 & 5-8.

    OR

    6x200 free -- #1 on 2:50, #2 on 2:40, #3 on 2:30, then repeat for #s 3-6.

Take 2 to 3 minutes rest between sets.

Do sets like this for 1-2 hours, 4+ times/wk & you'll get yourself that "swimmer's body."

  • This is really easy mate ... well its better if you do 20x100 1:30 1-4 and you repet it 5 times...

  • Of course. But most people who are reading this page are BEGINNERS, not seasoned competitive swimmers. You can't just give a beginner 20x100 on 1:30 descending. They'd die in the 2nd descinding set. Taking your suggestion to the logical conclusion, you might as well suggest a set of 100x100s on 1:30. That's a good 2 and a half hour workout for mid-season when you're pushing the yardage/meterage to its peak. But I don't think thatthe person looking for a casual workout is interested in that.

  • ahahahaha well said =) but if they are begginers they woudnt swam 200m in 1:30 sec haha ... well swimming its like this ur a very good swimmer = competitive, middle swimmer = knows how to swim only krowl or breaststroke with out putting his head in the water and low swimmer = drown...

so... even if the begginers woud go sprint 100% first 100m they woudn't come on 1:30 xD i can guarantee that ;) they woud prob. die first 50m trust me ...

  • umm... just asking how old are u and how many km do u do on ur traing never been talking with a usa swimmer well i've been there 1000 times but never asked how much or how long ur traings are ... xD sry for my bad english o know kinda sucks ...

  • @AssExtinction

I'm in my 20s now. (I'll leave it at that.) My training has decreased over the years, but, in the past, I trained between 8000 yards (approx. 7300m) and 10,000 (approx. 9100m). Workouts were between 2hrs and 2.5hrs.

  • @ask230 xD im 16 almost 17 but i train with 20 years old swimmers... and yeah my trainings are from 7000m to 10000m and long 2-3h and then 1h fitness and 20 min of stretching and thats about it ... and i have training twice a day everyday ... except sunday...

  • @AssExtinction there's no way you train five hours a day everyday, i'm on the dayton raiders ( 23rd best team USA swimming league according to last year's rankings) and, i'm in the elite group right now with 17 year old's and up. We practice 9 times a week. I guess its possible that you do that but, if your talking about doing that routine during the school year there is no way possible.... This would put you on the fast track for injury. Unless your coach is crazy.

  • @guitarpick22 ahaha no it's just ... look try my routine for like a mounth and u'll se it's not that hard at all just try ... and im not from usa ... look try and u'll see and btw whic team are u from anyway i know alot of teams from usa...?

  • @AssExtinction Dayton raiders swim club, just type that in google. that's the link to our site if you recognize us. I live in the worse state of all ohio haha... well, is that all in the pool work outs? or some dry land because i'd get so bored of that being in pool, my freshman year was all pool time and I wanted to slit my wrists it would get so boring. And, if you get like splash magazine or swimming world, you'll see people ranked in the short course times or long course. Its under DR ithink

  • we normally do 3 500 with 50 sec rest

  • Putting a number count on rest is 1 way of doing sets. But I think the best way is to do timed sets. Times sets force you to maintain a certain speed. For instance, 4x100 with 20 seconds rest between 100s means you can swim each 100 as slow or as fast as you want. Regardless, after each 100, you get 20 seconds rest. However, 4x100 on 1:30 means you have to complete the entire 100 within 1min 30secs & any excess time that's left over is your rest. In my opinion, that's a better way of doing it.

  • If you do even half of the aforementioned 4-step plan, you'll be on your way to getting a "swimmer's body." Also, write out a workout before you get in the pool. The workout should have interval sets. Work your way up to a challenging routine. But, DO NOT just swim as many laps as you can in an hour. That doesn't cut it! You need to have structured workouts to follow with LIMITED, TIMED REST between sets & set components.

  • Wha?!? This is supposed to get you a swimmer's body?! Well, if you want to look like these idiots in the video, yes, do this program. But, if you want a REAL swimmer's body, you need: (1) swim 4+times/week; (2) really push yourself during swim workouts. Most recreational swimmers, swim slowly & lazily for an hr & think they've given themselves a good workout. Uh, no. You must put in the work! (3) Lift weights(dry land) 2+ times/wk. (4) Get ample nutrition (@ least 20x body weight in calories).

  • Isn't this like crossfit?

  • How do you know?

  • why the fast pace...

  • Killer Workout? D;

  • faster heart rate maybe

  • or jsut swim a year breast stroke or 8 moths then completely front crawl form there but develop a great passion for it with a variety of styles a couple fo moths before you start breast stroke thats what i did i am ripped at i dor unnign aswell trust me swimming and running and you will be ripped.

  • yeah... swim

  • swim!

  • y do people see vids on this? if you want a swimmers body go swim!

  • i do ths

it is very gd thank you
