It's funny how none of the GT Academy drivers are female....perhaps part of the requirements involved being able to park a car? Jokes aside, GT5 is a great learning tool. Not because it's "Realistic" or because it's a "Simulator". But because it focuses on key points, such as racing lines, entry and exit speed, angle etc. These are things that always remain the same, regardless of car/track. Focus on these skills and you'll be a great driver. That's what makes GT5 a great tool, not graphics.

I'm sorry, but something's really bothering me... the sound coming from the video footage is NOT a GT-R. First off.. I have a GT-R and this sounds like a manual V8. My GT-R sounds way different and shifts way faster.. unless that's the chase car's sound
@Topkartracer Thats not the point i was making and I never said that. This is a test to see IF GT can help you on the track in real life, turns out it does.
@GranTurismoFan10 these guys are all on iRacing, which I think is much more beneficial if you're trying to get better in the real world. GT lets you get away with things that would never work in real life.

Please, use [somewhat] realistic sound bites for your track scenes. I'm not disappointed in the fact that you need to use them due to the gopro's inept audio capturing. However, it's a bit of an insult to viewers and fans of your vehicles when you use sound bites from a roaring V8 as opposed to your 60-degree V6's.
Come on! Nissan and Sony are worldwide brands! Gran Turismo is one of the best selling franchises over the world! so, let the people out of U.S. be able to compete! at least in the countries where these brands have official presence. I mean, i wanna have my shot and if i cant compete, that the cause be i dont qualify the game not cause im not U.S. resident. Do this awesome show worldwide and im pretty sure that would be more interesting and ofcourse more people would be watching it.
@thebest283 Isn't there a GT Academy Europe aswell? Anyways, people from Finland are not eligible but you don't see me crying about it! What kind of a reality show would it even be with people from various different nations and some with limited or no knowledge of the english language. Very hard to make that concept work.
