At least he's cooler-looking though. He must've lost 50 lbs of muscular ass meat and he has a jet engine on his back I think.

Check out Doom Reborn - it's Doom 1 and 2 remade with the Doom 3 engine. Every level and every detail is redmade. It's awesome, and better than Classic Doom which is only the first episode.

omg really? i was assuming this level was remade as part of the remake of the ultimate doom series. what i wanna see... is final doom in those graphics with the same music. and the same monsters too. :)

I don't think any development has been made since Alpha .8, but it will definitely run better than Alpha .1:

You can get the Alpha .8 release at Filefront, just do a search for Doom 3 reborn.

@subinbar I really and truly wish someone would use the DOOM 3 source code once it's released.. to make a total remake of DOOM 1 and 2. With some catchy one-liners and id Tech 4. Kind of like Serious Sam. XD

Great video. In my opinion, if they added a few levels and cutscenes from the original doom 3 to this mod of the original levels, you would have a far better playing game, than doom 3 itself.

@LibertyFire2010 It's uncertain yes, but on IGN I believe, it said they would be bringing 'hell to earth' in an interview they had. Probably just speculation, but I'm hoping they make it a remake of doom 2 or at least involve earth in some way.
