  • Take control! This is the instrument of your liberation.

  • He said during campaign for election, everyone will have the same equal health care as members of congress.

  • Uh-oh. Somebody standing up for small businesses... doesn't she know? Small businesses are not America. Only big businesses are.

Also, if we can give $200 billion to Afghanistan war effort (which I don't disagree with), why is small business lending only getting $30 billion?

  • You can't compare anything when the people running are lying from the start. :(

  • Maybe people have to wait...but cancer does not wait. Other serious illnesses do not wait either. I just want to know how he plans to pay for this. My daughter has Medicaid, but many doctors won't take her...you know why..They don't get paid enough to take her as a patient. The president should practice being president and stop being a big brother. I don't need him telling me what is best for me. If he wants to save money, he should bring down this high deficit that he is causing.

  • ezekielthemac, My eyes and ears are not up my ass. As for my response...no one is allowed to question Obama. All his "peeps" stick up him. He is still on the campaign trail Maybe YOU can tell him to start acting like a president. Oh, as soon as you get your head out of your ass. Ask him if he would have his daughters on the same medical plan..or if his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer, would they see fit to cure her...if she was worth the money? Chances are.. the answer would be no!

  • Everything is staged. No one is going to question Obama. Anyone who does is called a hater or a racist. Any one remember the Emperor"s new clothes? Apply that to Obama and you have what's really going on. Read the health reform bill. Read it, than see if you want this change. I have the right to not support anything Obama wants to change.

  • we all have that right, but there are the idiots who voted him in. maybe they should start showing the policies of each candidate on the poll to give us a comparison of what we want against what we don't want

  • Everyone questions President Obama. Your eyes and ears must have been stuck up your ass for the last nine months.

  • yall is stoopid, PURIOD!

I got eight kids and no one be taking care of my babies. Obama wants to help me out he prolly put on scrubs and deliver my next baby personaly if i assed him to. you alls just hatin' cause he wants to take yo money and help me out

  • I love it when he talks about kicking out the "Wall Street guys".... all the appointments in the key areas are from Wall Street... continuing the FEDS hold on the country. Health Care is important and needs some help... but do not be dissuaded from the heart of our problems... Big foreign banks have control over our money and lives... take the time to educate yourselves and wake up!

  • Wall Street runs our Healthcare. We pay for their growth and million dollar bonuses every year. The opposition sure as hell isn't fighting Obama because they're worried about some Government bureaucrat coming between a patient and their Doctor. These people are worse than the Mafia. The greed just Oozes outta everything they touch.

  • every time I hear this guy TALK I just wanna throw up...ALL HE DOES IS TELL LLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SORRY ALL YOU OBAMA SUPPORTER YOU GOT PLAYED AGAIN. AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN....HEY OBAMANATOR KEEP THE CHANGE...YOUR NOTHING BUT A 8 BILLION DOLLARS TelePrompTer PRESIDENT . IAM GLAD TO SEE ALL THE AWAKE PEOPLE THERE IT'S JUST THE BEGINNING .

  • versus the war criminal from crawford texas

  • momforjesus, are you as annoying in real life as you are in text?

  • it's pretty obvious that the shills have all made it here

  • It really is difficult to dislike that guy.

  • dislike who? Obama?

  • I said, its hard to dislike Obama. Seems like a good guy..

  • coll1976: "It really is difficult to dislike that guy."

Yet there is no requirement to "DISLIKE" Obama, he is certainly a very likeable sort. To wit; I can like the President (and I do) and celebrate that America has finally grown up beyond racial divides, to the extent a mixed-race man can be elected leader. But that does not mean I should (or must) automatically support the President's policies, which I don't!

Likeability and effectiveness do not go hand-in-hand.

  • I wonder how many people were bus in ? any body know

  • zero....he's not W.

  • The thing is Obama is telling it just the way it is. In HR 3200, employers with less than 20 employees and a payroll of less than $40,000 a year, can obtain insurance from the Exchange for their employees. The cost for the employer would be about the same as it would be now, with the exception of those payments are on a sliding scale as well and dependent on the policies the employee picks.

  • Did george bush ever do any town hall meetings?

  • Hell no, he cant even hold a conversation with a 10 year old

  • yeah, to privatize social insurance. Which failed miserably.

  • How could anybody not like this guy. Unless you're pro-life and you're just going to hate him no matter what he does.

  • it's not the man. it's his policies.

  • Come on admit it, you're just another sore loser pro-lifer.

  • lol... yah right... i'm a lifelong black female democrat who voted for obama. but as an EDUCATED MBA i base decisions based on FACTS not emotions. he lied to get in office, plain and simple.

  • C2apostle

    Everybody loves him.

May be if your one of those crazy pro-lifers, you might not.

People that don't love Obama are idiots that don't realize that "grandma" should do the right thing and "pack it in".

My next door neighbor has a kid that has CP and she won't live past 25. Her parents should do the right thing, forget the meds and help the Pres. keep health care cost down.

In the movie a "Christmas Carrol", Scrooge says, "Let them die and reduce the surplus population.

  • cindi3847, Are you suggesting that a big health insurance company would be more compassionate than the Federal Government?

  • C2apostle

What would make you think that.

I said that only crazy pro-lifers wouldn't love Obama's plan or possibly the selfish people that won't talk to grandma about "packing it in" because she has no revenue value to the government.

As I said before, lets encourage the parents of kids with MD or CP to do the right thing and "let them go" "so we can reduce the surplus population". Look at the money we can save. Thank's Obama, for this great idea.

  • Cindi3847, I'm not familiar with that provision. Please tell me where I could find it.

  • C2apostle

Obama said that rather than provide treatment for those determined to be terminal, physicians should consider the patient's comfort, and may be a better alternative is pain relieving medication rather than treatment.

The problem with this is that tens of thousands of people who were told they had 2 months to live, but received treatment, are living 20 years latter.

Check out Stephen Hawking who is alive 46 years after he was told he had ALS and 2 years to live.

  • When did Obama say that?

  • Cindi3847, Tell me where I can find that quote otherwise, I am going to conclude that it's just another Fox News fabrication.

  • Aahh.. Steven Hawking. Famously treated by the 'evil' British NHS!

  • bimnlinghill

Hawkings got treatment in England and America. Over the years, he also is so smart, he participated in his own treatment modalities.

If I have a headache, the British system is fine (take 2 aspirin and call the doctor back in 4 months). If I have something serious, I'll take my chances with the current American health care system.

  • Cindi: my experience of the NHS is that they successfully treated my smashed heel & my friend's sub-dural haematoma. They also cared for my grandparents as they reached the ends of their lives, so I feel I can speak up for the NHS with some authority. Now I've the money, I choose a health plan so elective care could happen at my convenience & so I could have my own room with a TV. However, I don't imagine that it will result in an improvement over the impeccable care I've seen from the NHS.

  • bimblinghill

The NHS may have worked well for you and I am glad it did. I have 2 friends in England and both say they have had long waits for certain procedures. They did say, once they got to see a specialist, the treatment was good.

  • There are problems with waiting times, although one of the few real successes of our current Labour government has been to invest in the NHS and much reduce them. However, waiting times are a reason why I contribute to a plan.

The NHS is a backstop for those who can't afford private healthcare. It astounds me that the richest country in the world doesn't have something equivalent.

  • bimblinghill

Concerning people that really can't afford health insurance, the very poor, receive medicaid (free health care.

Millions of the uninsured are people who have the money to purchase a plan but choose not too. Many are younger and healthy and figure they don't need it.

Of the 300 million Americans, between 5 and 10 million fall through the cracks and need health care reform. The other 290 million have health care or the ability to have health care.

  • I'm aware of medicaid, and it is certainly better than nothing. However, I suspect that the 5-10 mill is an underestimate of people who cannot afford healthcare. I don't imagine that it includes un-covered people who have been fortunate enough not to fall ill, but would be bankrupted if they did. Also I don't think it includes those who can just scrape together the money they need ffor treatment, but sacrifice their children's education, etc.

  • bimblinghill

First, let me agree with you, sort of. Canadian public education must be better than the US education system in most states.

Most states are controlled by the National Education Assoc. or the Teachers Union. The later only cares for the best salary and benefits they can acquire at the peril of the children.

For health care, the Republicans say that 5 million have absolutely no recourse and Dems. say it is 15 million- I split the difference at 10 mil.

  • Where in the proposed legislation is that?

  • fielsjd

Read the comment below your post.

  • uh yeah....he never said anything remotely close to that. You've read one too many conspiracy theories. Every country with universal health care has longer life expectancies and lower infant mortality. It's your current healthcare system that's killing grandma. GRandma does have value t the government...she can vote can't she? who she doesn't have value to is the insurance companies who have to pay for her treatment at the expense of their bottom line.

  • Bush didn't have the largest financial crisis in a century to deal with. Bush increased the deficit during an economic boom, dragged the country into an illegal war, and gave huge tax cuts to the wealthiest 5% so the middle class would have to pay for that war. Bush caused this mess and Obama is digging us out. even with you kicking and screaming on his back the whole way.

  • I just find it fascinating that ALL of the Obama haters have one thing in common - pro-life.

Makes me question their (feigned) outrage on other issues.

At least the Bush haters came from all quarters; environmentalism, anti war, social responsibility, etc.. Many were pro-life.

The Obama protester all come from the same camp - pro-life

  • I noticed that the Pro-life people don't really value life that much as they are generally war mongers and say we should nuke the middle east. I think they just like to judge people because it makes them feel better about themselves. Sure they don't go out and help those in need like those liberals but at least they don't support abortions and thus theoretically save thousands of innocent babies!

  • Obama sucks

  • Obama is the greatest president since JFK or FDR. HE is the most straight forward and honest politician of our time. If you guys want to get rid of him, send him to Canada we'll gladly accept him. But you can keep your insurance companies.

  • Hands off, he is ours!

  • Jfk lowered taxes, hung cubans out to die, Cheeted on his wife, started viet nam, and I only agree with one!

  • john51880

You are a very honest and intelligent person.

  • hahaha! My mom would hug you! oh ya I am catholic and ashamed of the camalot bs! Watch out for this coming soon. Teddy passes away(not that I wish him ill will). So the call will be "get healthcare done for Ted". Who by the way is personaly responcible for most law dealing with Immagration policy(or lack their of!) for the last 40 years. Any one who thinks I am racist for saying that is dead wrong, it is a security issue post 911!

  • uh....he also ended jim crow, increased civil rights, and brought us to the moon. No one is perfect.... no matter how great their accomplishments may be, everyone makes mistakes.

  • I know people in glass houses. I agree with some of what you are getting at. He just did not = his hipe!!! Oh and repeated cheating is a choice not a mistake!

  • Depends on what hype you're referring to I don't have any illusions of him being infallible. But cheating can be both a choice and a mistake. BUt if there was one people to make that mistake/choice with Marylin Monroe was not a bad one to make it with.

How classic is 'happy birthday mr. president'?

  • Ya I have to say she was tempting!!!

  • Yeah, Obama has a Science Czar just like JFK and FDR huh??? And I am sure you know all about Obama's Green Czar as well........ lol

and did you see the planted FAKE Doctor at Sheila Jacksons town hall??? She is actually not a doctor but a organizer for Organizing for America.... and the Lady Isabella was there also, wearing the same shirt she was wearing when she met Obama, look it up.. "Planted Doctor Sheila Jackson".. check the history of the people I mentioned.. they are just a few of many

  • wow thats an intelligent statement Corky!

  • google "Sheila Jackson planted doctor"

have you seen the lady from Organizing for America claim to be a doctor? She lied, it will be on the news soon..........

late as usual, but still you should check it out, then you can say you heard about it before it hit the News.....
