I agree that threats of military aggression are so wrong, but, really, basic common sense would have it that the state that detains the world record in that field isn't in a position to threaten, or even just lecture, another state for doing it too. Especially when the state in question hasn't threaten military aggression on anybody. If we can't reach these basic standards of integrity, then it makes no sense to talk about rights and peace and international law and all that.

It's the world's oldest country, and it was one of the great world civilizations of the world along with China, and it has been a centre of learning, intellectualism, literature and culture throughout most of its existence. Iran is also a strong country who would be able to defend itself from any of these warmongering nations such as the US and Israel. Now that Obama is the President of the US though, there is more of a chance of peace.

Of course some women will be beaten in Iran just like in every single other country in the world, but in general it is frowned upon to beat women in Iran. Americans think domestic violence is the norm in Iran, when it really isn't. And in my opinion, women are treated with more respect than they are in the US. I don't think an American man will have any shame to beat a woman.

BTW, it's more like Israel doesn't have the guts to take Iran on, and thats why they haven't attacked it yet. Israel knows Iran would wipe the floor with it. And just like KruspeFish said, Iran is too powerful for the US to invade. The US wouldn't want to take that sacrifice to attack Iran.
