It's a special rom version , when you get a star from a '?' block , it last forever ( but it will stop if you fall in water or anything that normally stop it )

I always power slide, but I never knew you could keep a star going by power sliding.

The star doesn't extend by power sliding. There was a cheat to maintain Invicibility.

It was done because if Yoshi were to loose the Star Power, the shell would've hit him due to not being fast enough to outrun it.

To activate cheats code, you can do this in your emulator ex: (i'm using Project64 1.6) , Click on 'System' then on 'Cheat Codes' and then you can chose the codes you want to use depending on which rom version you have

You can do something similar to this in Double Dash and Wii. It's called "blue shell dodging" and you don't even need a star. ;P

Not bad though. Infinite star cheat is fun. =P

To be always star , you must have a special version of Mario Kart 64 rom , then when you pick up a star, its last forever until you fall into water or something like that ;p
