My High elf army comes in at 2000 points. 1 Arch mage 1 lv 2 mage 1 lv 1 mage 1 Lord 1 noble standard bearer 30 sea guard 20 archers 10 sword masters 1 lion chariot 1 repeater bolt thrower 5 ellrian reavers The chariot and cavalry lure the enemy across the map while the army hit them with arrows till the get close enough for the sea guard to charge, the mages augment the troops and the sword masters and lion chariot flank the troops engaged with the sea guard.

Someone probably already beat me to it, but in regards to shooting in 2 ranks I'd like to point out that (contemporary) 8th edition Warhammer Fantasy rules allow all regiments with missile weapons to shoot from the first two ranks.

I always put a prince in a block of 30 white lions they don't go any were and because of LD 10 with the general and stubborn with the white lions and they do a lot of damage with WS 5 and S 6

what would you suggest i what to start a warhammer fantasty army im only 13 so please take in to consideration money and i want to collect wood or high elves but i dont know which one? I want an army that is enjoyable to paint and not to expensive also like archers! and i dont really enjoy the magic side which by this its looking like wood elves however going back to money there is that island of blood set which is perfect so i am really not sure what to get please help. Great vid learnt loads

Don't worry. One of the best thing about warhammer is that you can always use your "outdated" models in a game. Old models are quite the sight and almost always the envy of any gamer who sees them.

had my battle with warriors of chaos!! and i tell you it was a tough battle, have no luck with the dice, my SM and WL eventually ran of the table, but my dragon princes kick some maruders ass and eventually killing the chaos knights, but still lost, oh and my PG got annahilated..........bummer!!!

silver helms only have one attack at WS 4 and LD 8 this means to have them with shields they are 23pts

dragon princes cost +7pts and have +1 WS, LD and A. They are also immune to fire attacks. Take that flaming bloodthirsters, u cant hurt us now

They're not exactly bad, but the problem is that dragon princes now compete for the exact same slot (special) and for the same slot, do the same job, and do it better.

i think sea guard will stand and shot and then when the charge use spears and 2 ranks attack for 1 point

I think their true power does lie in the cannabis save- rolls, as he says. The Elven Hash Lords of Cthulan added a lot to this edition; along with the High Lord Herer , Shiskaberry Kush Gryphon Riders, Bongripper Halberdiers, and of course the toke of enlightenment. Owsely did a great job on the color schemes - those Trichrome Units really sparkle.

7:40, repeater bolt throwers no longer count as 2 for 1 rare choice, that's great eagles (who are in my opinion, just awesome, they can do pretty much all the annoying things that fast cavalry can do except they fly!).

One of the complaints people seem to be posting is that they don't like how clean and pristine the High Elves are.

Perhaps it is time someone did an army that is deep in a campaign that is roughed up and dirty and rugged.

Spearmen and Sea Guard also get to attack in 3 ranks rather than just 2 (martial prowess) and with the ASF the volume of attacks can be daunting. WS 4+ army wide (except horses) is also a great thing.

Erhm... You really should point out that every single model in a High Elf army always strike first. That's the best thing about our elite infantry. It also makes the Spearmen a lot more better while they cost only 9 points each. And you were absolutely sure that High Elf Core Choices are all bad...

No, they have hatred for every enemy so they can re-roll first round of combat. Every round versus HE.

No, they have "eternal hatred" which makes them hate all races, and allows them to re-roll hits in every round of combat against high elves. And High Elves can also re-roll failed psychology tests from Dark Elves.

I really enjoy the over view on the High Elves army my friend was going to show me how to face them due to it's his primary army, but with that talk on them gives me a better understanding on what units to watch out for now. And as things go I hope to maybe start up a elf army I am not sure which but sometime hopefully when you get all the army's shown I may pick one.
