  • fuckin amature wheres the guide coat how many grit sand paper do u use how about the acetone to clean the board. actually u use metal plates to mix up bondo and clean it with acetone with a brush. this guy is an amature!!!

  • @1phet Even if I was an amateur, youtube is not restricted to pros. The guide coat was not necessary in this case because I could see and feel it all (practice will do that to you). And how do you know I didn't clean my board? Sheesh! A friend of mine is one of only 10 or so people in the united states who have ever been qualified to, and actually painted a McLaren F1...I've seen him mix filler on cardboard. Everybody who reads this far should know that this man is a genuine TROLL.

  • why not just buy a stud welder and puller.

  • @TheBucksatan Because you have to buy it.

  • Dude you dont know what your doing! first off Shucks body filler lol. Look at that door edge you call that stright. And look at your sanding .. back and forth back and forth! You hardly feather edged your paint!! Those bare spots with no paint on them those are High spots from your stick welder warping the metal cuz of all the heat! Good Job

  • @otmill Hey, um, Mr. Otmill, my car is sitting in the driveway painted, and with perfect factory shape...You can use you're methods, I will use mine; mine work as well as any, and I have a trophy in the driveway to prove it. Thanks for watching.

  • why use a cutting board.. you have to clean it every time.. why not just use cardboard and u can throw it out.

  • @1gtaking1 I have like 100 of them from an overstock shipment haha. I use them for everything!

  • @TheCousinDan so are you like a rich bitch or some shit?

  • @TheSkyIsFalling2012 Um, no. I make $12.20/hr part time while I go to school. And I might suggest that you try not to use the words "bitch" and "shit" in regular conversation, much less the same sentence; it makes you sound foolish.

  • @1gtaking1 Unfortunately, auto body filler is often mixed on cardboard because it is handy and disposable. This is not a good practice, however. Cardboard can soak up some of the resins in the auto body filler and make it less effective. It is also possible that the cardboard has already soaked up something that might affect the way the auto body filler will work. Armor-All, for example, when mixed into auto body filler will cause it to peel back off of the car when it is dry.

  • This is a great video, I'd say one of the best on methods. You keep it simple and effective. Although, for those without welding experience, I would suggest using a Bondo slide hammer. A tool that screws into the dent (creating the same circumstance as his weld) and pulls it out (like the makeshift slide hammer he had). They're only $15 at AutoZone. Haters gonna hate.

  • @mrzeathe Great point. Those are a solid choice as well.

  • dudeee you're awesome! i thought i was a handy man until i started watching these vids!! fuck the haters braahh :D

  • Not hating man, but why wouldn you get in behind the frame with a nice block of timber and knock the frame out first? You can see you've totally filled the edge up with filler, giddy up cowboy

  • @Botshapa Because I don't have Asian hands with multiple wrist joints. It's an impossible fit behind that spot.

  • Great Video. Only thing wrong is your Obama T-shirt

  • @Holiday48000 It actually compares Obama to Bernie Madoff...Lets just say I'm not a fan of Mr. O.

  • Mate your just a fucking cowboy, all the gear and no Idea, well you didn't even have the correct gear, why did you not refill the whole area??

  • @ReeceBayly16 I appreciate your enthusiasm, but my work is sitting in my driveway right now as a gloriously beautiful testament to the fact that my methods work just fine. If you want my technical argument on this, message me.

  • TAKE OUT THE FUCKING "the" IN THECOUSINDAN

  • they'll always will be haters in all walks of life, just keep on truckin auto body dude.

  • He forgot to mention you should NEVER weld on a car without pulling the battery cable first! Once he fries his computer from a bad ground he will learn!

  • @66branch Yes, I forgot to mention that I pulled the negative battery cable. Good call, a little testy, but a good call. Computers are very sensitive to static electricity because of the chips inside.

  • any sugguestions for a dent thats wide and not small like the dent you have?

  • @Johnpwns391 Try to work out as much of it as possible without creasing the body panel. If you can't get it just right then get as much as you can and then fill the rest...or replace the panel if you can get a hold on one. I do have another dent fix in the works though and it's a bigger one, so hang tight and I'll have another video up!

  • CousinDan wheres the paiting part? thanks for this video btw

  • @Hilderith the video showing the paiting process

  • wish one is better drill and pull with slide humer or welder

  • @TheVelocitySerial Whichever one you have the equipment for. The drill and pull requires you to fill a hole too, not a big deal but something to consider.

  • man i like this job where i can learn online or practice??

  • @TheCousinDan hey man don't listen to the haters. good job and very helpful. thanks!

  • Fuck your dent it can suck my big long dick u sound like a prick

  • No im saying u tryin to sound like u been doing dat for yrs when your wrong young fool

  • @hmfuku12 Well I'm very sorry that my tone implies a knowledge of the subject that I'm teaching about. My perfect dent repair job says it's sorry too.

  • Ur bondo sucks you just saying what you read from instructions you have no idea what your saying

  • @hmfuku12 That's probably why my dent repair turned out perfectly, right? Are you implying that the instructions on the can are wrong?

  • what camera did u use?"

  • Hey Dan

Do you have to cover the bear metal part or just seal spray it with primer and go to paint ?

  • @MrMazmazmaz You will want to make sure that there are no pieces of rust or charred welding electrode insulation on the surface, then body-fill and prime and you're ready to paint.

  • Just a note, since this is a flat part of the panel you can use a hard block sander but I would recommend a softer foam block for more curves, just a note.

  • @ReggyRay289 Right, and also the hard block flexes just a big for gradual curves but use a softer one for harder curves. Curves are more forgiving also, dips don't show up as well.
