Why does every live track of randy other than tribute have Randy's tone all jacked up ?It sounds very digital like he was using line 6's or something.
I think Randy just added good shit as he played whenever he felt like it. His music came from his soul, not from a sheet of paper. That's why no one will ever match him in skill. Yea, there are faster, but they play only 3 chords. Randy played too many to count. God bless you Randy and please Rest in Peace
I saw RR on the first Ozzy U.S. tour in early 1981 in Rochester NY (the same city where "After Hours" was taped.) No one knew RR's name before the show, but anyone who saw that tour knew his name afterwards! The main thing I remember about his playing was how effortless it appeared. He was in 2nd gear.
its awesome how randys shows were always different. he always had a different fill for everything. and he didnt practice it hes just playin how he felt
may seem hard to believe now, that people didnt know his name.but ozzy was the star it seemed most didnt care who was in his band.that first line up Ozzy,Randy,Lee kerslake, bob daisely were in my opinion.the best hard rock/metal band ever.they deserve alot more credit then they ever got.Randy got iconic status after his death.bob and lee have been forgoten.mostly because right after DOAMM came out ozzy fired them and hired rudy sarzo and tommy aldrich to go on tour,He never payed Bob or Lee
My dad is always laughin' at me because I'm a huge Randy Rhoads fan. He's always sayin' "Everyone knew Ozzy, but they've never heard of Randy Rhoads."
oh yeah it was right before easter.I remember easter was early that yr.when the first reports came out they said it was ozzy who crashed.people were relieved that it was just his guitar player(imagine that).I was bummed.I like most peope at the time I didnt even know his name.but i thought he was a great guitarist and told many people i thought he was way better then Vh.who was considered the best at the time.some people were even saying it was his fault because he was proably on drugs(idiots)
this had to be right before he died he died some time in feb 82 right? or was it march. i rmember when he died i was 15 at the time just not sure of the month
I love this man.. he shall always be remembered as such a kind soul.. love ya R.R.

If someone can find and post the REAL king biscuit version of this song it is the best. One of the best solos he ever pulled off live.
