I like the song by itself and to be honest: there aren't too much songs nowadays you could and would listen to for about ten minutes (plus/less) without skipping or looking for others while listening/watching them. The video-effects are amazing - don't even try... :)
This song autobaun I think was released in the US in 74 or 75. It was on a 45 record. Since the british invasion & before disco, it sold more records than thought. They were before their time. Try to find one now, yea right. They hit the top 40. Back then it was AM radio not FM radio with the top FM radio song of the top 100 today. I collect them all.
there is somewhere an version excisting which was shown in movie theater in germany in the '80s as front movie before the featured movie started, before commercials killed the theater world
I have this album and it's best listened too with a good pair of headphones. Download this and I guarantee you will be amazed how great it sounds with headphones.
@tonijn1969 Sorry I've taken so long to spot your reply.
There is no 1974 version. There is no black and white version. If you have seen a black and white version it is because it is a bad copy of the original.
wouldnt this be on the dvd
"Kraftwerk and the Electronic Revolution"?

Starting about 9 minutes it sounds like Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon

You can really hear the influence of Tangerine Dream in this early version of Autobahn.

This reminds me of some of the early Pink Floyd song movies they would play on their round screen. Very trippy! Nice!

The video was made by Roger Mainwood for Kraftwerks Autobahn in 1979. 5 Years after the release of the LP in 1974.
