IT happened to me too: The "productive burps" (that's what the doctor called it, yeah, ew...) and the acid reflux-- Almost 6 months after the last time I had purged. It's apparently part of the final healing after long-term ed's or something. Heard it from other bulimics, also

I have an ed also, and i know that what i need is support, but how do you go about finding people who are up for that challenge? because its so draining on someone who is a friend to a person with an eating disorder. I've had a lot of teeth problems too. My grandma made me, as a child, to brush my teeth with 'lava' soap. She refused to let me brush with paste.

By the way, I have NO top teeth now since brushing with the soap. I had to get surgery to get them all removed. I'm 25 and I have dentures. I k now what you mean (about teeth). Take care.

umm, as a recovering anorexic i can tell you that keeping it a secret will only end in the problem becoming more severe and internalised. If it wasnt for the people i confided in with my eating disorder i would be dead.

HAHAHA! I just had one of those procedures yesterday, and I was sobbing aloud beforehand because I kept thinking of this video :). Mine was slightly different though, and not NEARLY as bad. I was completely knocked out the entire time, and they gave me some nice relaxing drugs to make me stop sobbing my eyes out from fear. It totally is just worth being fat though. I'v never been bulimic, but if I could gain ten pounds and never go to that doctor again, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I've had the hose thing and don't remember it either, i had it the same reason as you only 2 years ago i did get projectile regurgitated food and nothing would stay down even water..so horrible i had to get admitted to hospital and stay there for over a week with all these injections and drips urrghh.
I suspect the man is in the dental business trying to attract customers to his veneer practice. A man acted like that approached me next to central park.
BTW, my cousin had the projectile vomit as a baby. I don't know what the doctor enjoyed more him, or my brother who upon being born prompted this comment "he's a boy and he sure knows how to use the equipment" all over the doctors face.

I am wondering how it might feel for you if you were able to come DOWN and center yourself. Congratulations for not purging in a year, that's great progress. I have enjoyed watching some of your vids in the past, your attitude seems to have changed though which made it more unpleasant to watch this, especially using the word "retarded" and "Fat" as if this is a negative thing. People can't help how they are, they can change things though. And what happened to focused on how bless you are? I use
to enjoy your faithful, hopeful, energetic with positive energy to give out and things to say - attitude. As for eds, no one comes out clean and if you think that is bad - many have experienced MUCH worse. I won't compare situations but trust me... The ending of this gets a little more motivating but it's not about being skinny, we all know that is just surface stuff not the roots of the problem. I agree that support is crucial, we all need it. Are you still walking with God? I do hope so dear.

Sorry to hear you're still suffering with the effects from the ED though and the pain and suffering from it, you really don't deserve it and i hope everything gets better soon for you. You are such a wonderful inspration, and a warm light, it gives hope that there is a way out of this cycle.

Courtney, you're awesome! And so right about friends - having a supportive, normalising influence and being reminded that life can actually be fun is the main thing that eventually 'fixed' me (it's nearly 10 years since the ED started, but I consider myself basically recovered now :)
The stomach problems - very familiar, and no fun at all. It's rubbish that this stuff bites your butt AFTER you start taking care of yourself - hope you don't have to suffer anything else hun :)
I am trying to recover from bulimia, as well... I went to the dentist over Spring Break... I have to get 1700 dollars worth of work done when I go back home this summer... including one root canal. :(

I read the book 'Naturally Thin'... and it helped me get over all my sick food problems.
It makes you view food in a totally different way, and it saved me.

Courtney you are looking much much better. I just wanted to say that God carefully made you. He put every hair on your head, every freckle and every "jiggle" ;-). You are a beautiful girl, and I am glad that you are using your story and feelings to inspire. A song of encouragement for you to listen to is "A more beautiful you" by John Diaz. The song basically says that you are beautiful the way you are. You don't need to lose a bunch of weight to be beautiful, you look great!

HAHAHA! I just had one of those procedures yesterday, and I was sobbing aloud beforehand because I kept thinking of this video :). Mine was slightly different though, and not NEARLY as bad. I was completely knocked out the entire time, and they gave me some nice relaxing drugs to make me stop sobbing my eyes out from fear. It totally is just worth being fat though. I'v never been bulimic, but if I could gain ten pounds and never go to that doctor again, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I like how positive you are now and your so kind and thoughtful! I'm sure you have tried everything for your stomach but Gaviscon which is a mint liquid medicine can help line your stomach. I've had the hose thing and don't remember it either, i had it the same reason as you only 2 years ago i did get projectile regurgitated food and nothing would stay down even water..so horrible i had to get admitted to hospital and stay there for over a week with all these injections and drips urrghh.

BTW, my cousin had the projectile vomit as a baby. I don't know what the doctor enjoyed more him, or my brother who upon being born prompted this comment "he's a boy and he sure knows how to use the equipment" all over the doctors face.

Hey hun I'm in the exact same place as you are. I've been watching your vids for a while now and figure it's time to comment.
I've been in recovery for just over a year and holy shit I'm 50 kg aka 110ish lbs and I can't fathom how I got here.
I realised the other day though that after 12 years I no longer hate myself anymore and wow was I suprised.
I just want to let you know you really do inspire me and I am soooo proud of you hun. I'm a little proud of myself to :D.

to enjoy your faithful, hopeful, energetic with positive energy to give out and things to say - attitude. As for eds, no one comes out clean and if you think that is bad - many have experienced MUCH worse. I won't compare situations but trust me... The ending of this gets a little more motivating but it's not about being skinny, we all know that is just surface stuff not the roots of the problem. I agree that support is crucial, we all need it. Are you still walking with God? I do hope so dear.

Sorry to hear you're still suffering with the effects from the ED though and the pain and suffering from it, you really don't deserve it and i hope everything gets better soon for you. Courtney, you're awesome! And so right about friends - having a supportive, normalising influence and being reminded that life can actually be fun is the main thing that eventually 'fixed' me (it's nearly 10 years since the ED started, but I consider myself basically recovered now :)
The stomach problems - very familiar, and no fun at all. It's rubbish that this stuff bites your butt AFTER you start taking care of yourself - hope you don't have to suffer anything else hun :)

I am trying to recover from bulimia, as well... I went to the dentist over Spring Break... I have to get 1700 dollars worth of work done when I go back home this summer... including one root canal. :(
