  • Whats all this about a bible? What? I'm so confused... And if I "need" a bible to be a good person, what do me and my jew bros and sisters do? Hmm? and what about ANY OTHER RELIGION? Im not mad, im just saying

  • i love this band ! :D

  • I got to attend their concert in Arizona with the Neon Trees, absolutely amazing! I feel honored to have seen them in such a raw form, they will be huge! Keep the desire in your heart. I also attended Bruce Springsteen’s 1st tour and rate them equivalent. I had never heard of Paper Tongues until then, I will be purchasing their music.

  • One Word: Amazing

  • ummm, being a christian has absoulutley nothing to do with just being a good person... sory to whack u in the head but seriously. And there is more to it than beliving in the facts and reading the bible (wich is still good) you have to have Faith in God and sacrafice your life to Him and live His way. And that doesnt meen you wont mess up

  • ummm, being a christian has absoulutley nothing to do with just being a good person... sory to whack u in the head

  • This band is so great!

  • Yeah u don't need a Bible to be good...People will always find an alternative to get from A to B, except when it comes to getting into heaven...plain ol' "good" won't get u there, only Jesus can.

  • im so glad this was 4:30 rather than 3:30

  • Not bad, but not very original sounding.

  • you dont need a bible to be a good person! where did you learn that, bible school?

  • @DECRIMINALIZE true, you dont need the bible to be a good person, but if you want to streingthen the bond between you and God, the bible is one of the many ways to do so, its not a matter of who does or doesnt read their bible, its their relationship with God and wha tyou learn by reading the bible. and in the end, its all up to you, no one is forcing you to read your bible.

  • @DECRIMINALIZE The Bible teach u How to live the right way , so u can get to Heaven, there IS no other way. but u must live it as well.

  • @Revanstroops No one has to live according to your opinion on living, ass.

  • @Revanstroops Jewish...?

  • i heard this time for the first time while watching MTV and I was like.... this is really amazingg :)

  • GREAT BEAT!!

  • i hate everybody.. alot less to explain that way lol :)

  • The word "Religion" isn't right. So many people have changed it up, that it's just not accurate. Religion isn't the important thing, the important thing is having a Relationship with the Lord that gave his grace to save us!

  • Black betty -ram jam XD

  • Great beats this song is put together well. And Aswan is a good singer

  • lol the place i work, movie tavern, plays this song all the time. its awesomeeeee

  • @JesiPuff93 hey i used to live in texas and there was a movie tavern near chillis and i cant remember it was in bedford or nrh

  • i think religon is just a way to separate man from man for one man to think there religon is right and all the others are wrong but if you believe god sent his one and only son to die for our sins on the cross then there is no reason to have a morman religon or catholic or christian we are just all believers of god

  • @hstjm7 -- No, because Christians alone place their trust in Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can save us from the penalty of our own sin. And the Gospel preaches unity between Jews and Gentiles (non-Jews) alike.

  • this song is kinda addicting...well to me at least iunno about you guys :D

  • @savmar1 agreed

  • whats up with the religious comments lol, there is no religion that is truly better than another its all faith. There are just as many devout hindus/muslims as there are christains, there are extremist christians as well as muslims. Crusaders and jihadists? Every religion has their darkside(lol) but it has it's peaceful side. We cant claim islam as a religion of war, look at all the wars caused due to christian infighting. We need to respect religion and stop fighting over it. Paper tongues ftw

  • @DalkrisAKP The Quran holds at least 100 verses claiming specifically make war...thats not cool at all.

  • This song has an awesome beat from start to finish. Great tune! First heard it on TheBlast.FM

  • Very good song, uplifting as well!

  • this song is sooooo awesommmeeeeeeeee <3 <3 <3

  • wait... the highest rated comment for this song is about religion... i though it would be about how awesum this band is or sumthin like that. Msnichole91 and wardevil91, nuthing against u but, y talk about this subject here on a music vid?

  • Wonderful melody :) keep them songs comin'

  • interesting song, very cool melody!!!!

  • I just might be addicted to this song....

  • Best song ever!!!!!! :)

  • Grerat effin song!!!!!

  • I hate seeing the comments on christian videos.... everyones argueing and cursing and it jjust makes me sad. just listen to the music, this song is realy good

  • Yes morgan freeman is kind and understanding <.<

*waits for overreligious christian to take offense*

  • They are the best and great guys too ! love from home Jville NC <3 we are so proud of you !

  • why has this turned into a huge religious discussion? not meaning to step on anyone's toes but I'm not Christian, I'm not religious at all but do we have to preach beliefs? accept those for who they are, don't push your beliefs on others or you may find yourself on the recieving end of theirs :) and Nobody is perfect, everyone knows that but being the best person YOU can be then it makes the difference not what others tell you to be

  • @SilentCrucifixtion

I don't per say believe in a God, But I don't think it will turn into a religious discussion because there have been many other songs with similar belief tied into the meaning, but if you don't agree with it, then don't listen to it. I'm sure they get news from people who disagree with their song.

But if you view something from someones eyes other than yourself, and try to understand what they do. and not religious, but everyday cases. ... need more characters...

  • @SilentCrucifixtion ok, follow up...

Such as standing in line at the supermarket, where everyone is in YOUR way, and if you think of it from their view, your the one in their way.

Its how they are taught, If you were told 2+2=5 for all your life, then you would believe that. And i'm not calling religion simple math, but If your subject to it all your life, and you don't view things from someone else's view, then you don't see the other side of it. They just don't see it another way.

  • @ninjadude121 Religion is only as real as you believe it to be. Two people aren't going to believe in more than they already believe. You can't make an atheist believe in God. They either do or they don't. Same with any other religion.

  • Can't wait to see these guys in concert they kick so much ass for being this new of a band. \m/

  • The best band ever

  • Love It!

  • Nichole, you are sooo right. People don't like to hear the truth :0

  • I love this band. :)))

  • <3333333

  • These guys are the shit..more peopel should know about them!

  • freakishly awesome song

  • 7 people in a band... way too much, well, at least they make righteous music (:

  • How could you dislike this song............

  • @ASacredSpirit because it seems to influence the idea of christ or religious belief.

  • @HappyTish ...??? so, listen 2 lady gaga or sumthing. ugh. all music has some kind of msg of 'influence'. its not like they're saying 'serve jesus or die' or sumthing, geez lol. *however, the lyrics in artists' music, such as lady gaga?? very vulgar. but to each his own, i guess..

  • @JesusRokks lol...yeah. God doesn't FORCE people to follow him. He is kind and compassionate. He just knows what's best. :)

    God is good! ( + I love this BAND ) <3

  • @msnichole91 AGREED

  • @AmyOhmyGosh Thanx!! I am not trying to put people down. If anything, I want people to see the truth and change...but I can't force it. :)

  • I love the singers voice <3 Puts me in a great mood. Heard this song on Air 1.

  • is paper tongues a christian band? because there's this song, and then the song "get higher" (which there are two versions of) has a version that has religious lyrics.

  • @ZAPdontlook I know Aswan is, but I'm not sure about the rest of them... I only know Aswan. Never met the rest of them.

  • @ZAPdontlook I think so :( Thats why I deleted their songs I downloaded.

  • I can't stop listening to this song, it's amazing!

  • Their lead singer almost sounds like a younger Mick Jagger.

  • This song is very nice. everythign to this song fits it srats off slow. but right when you hear TRINITY! then im like ooh shit hear it goes. overerall i rate this song 8/10 very nice very nice. Well paper tongues is a good band and i want you guys to continue the hard work good luck. like this post. :D

  • this song is awsome

  • i love the lead singers voice.

  • damnnnn such a sick song... never ges old =)

  • I don't know what any of you guys are talking about, But i've drank and i'm catholic :)

  • @ORLOSKY15 YEA I GUESS

  • Why am i just finding out about these guys? There Great!

  • cant we all just get along!

also it's not christian rock.....if there is such a thing

  • @DalkrisAKP there is christian rock, its called CREED

  • @callofdutyman4wii Didn't Creed start out as a Christian band and then leave that genre? I'm not a fan so I could be wrong.

  • @TruZer0 they still make those kinda songs, but they move towards regular rock and that stuff

  • @callofdutyman4wii Religious songs? Which are they because I haven't heard them.

  • i wish the lead singers looked exactly how you picture them.

in my mind he had a big afro like afro samurai or samuel l jackson.

    regardless, great song, great band.

    woo!

  • this song is fuckin awesome never liked a band like this since coheed and cambria

  • I'm pretty sure these guys aren't a Christian "rock" group, I've checked their genre and they aren't labeled as one. I guess some people could interpret them as being one if they got Jesus on the brain, but when I listen to them I don't hear a Christian "rock" band at all, mainly because they're pretty good. I put the quotation marks because any real rock fan knows there is no such thing as "Christian rock", the word "rock" can never be placed after the word "Christian".

  • @TruZer0 so, you sayin' that bands who sing bout god arent good?

  • @Luckydog295 I'm saying that there is no such thing as Christian rock. It's just Christians trying to spread their crap into rock music, but it doesn't work, and yes I am saying that Christian bands suck. I have yet to come across any that I think are awesome. The whole "God message" is annoying as it is without trying to make into music.

  • @TruZer0 I agree that the God message is annoying, but some bands are actually good and u can't realy tell that there is a God message. My favs are Swithfoot, Fireflight, and Family Force 5

  • @AliceCullen4242 I have yet to come across any Christian bands that I like

  • @AliceCullen4242

Oh my God, I don't know what you're talking about completly, but I saw you metioned Family Force 5 as a great Christian band and I AGREE with you ABSOLUTELY!!! They're my favorite band in the universe! I'm glad you think highly of them as well :)

  • @TruZer0 all rockbands have a message to push, if you cant handle the "God message" dont come to the videos and comment

  • @MrSinnbox I know that they do, and that is not what I'm saying is wrong with Christian music. I find the message annoying and I do stay away from it. These guys aren't that kind of band or at least they don't seem like they are.

  • @TruZer0

There are some good Christian bands that aren't completely obvious with their messages, so you could be non-religious and still enjoy it. You're right that some Christian rock is really annoying and boring and just plain sucks but some bands are very good, like After Edmund, Skillet, & Family Force 5 is amazing. But I guess we all have a genre or two that just doesn't appeal to us, right?

  • @TruZer0 what's the point in mocking the Christian religion? It doesn't get you anywhere, and doesn't help you at all. It just makes you look like a jerk.

  • @samjoelego13 I'm saying that there is no such thing as "christian rock" how is that mocking christianity?

  • @TruZer0 you are basicly saying Christianity is a religion for babies and weak minds, which I find laughably incorrect.

  • @samjoelego13 I am basically saying that? What the hell is wrong with you? I am saying that there is no such thing as "christian rock". That's where my argument begins and ends. You are just making shit up, and unless you want to keep make yourself look ridiculous you should stop. You just keep pulling stuff out of your ass don't you? No such thing as "christian rock". That's all I am saying, that's all I have been saying. No such thing as "christian rock". No. Such. Thing. Please understand

  • @TruZer0 and why is their no such thing is Christian rock? That is what I am trying to understand.

  • @samjoelego13 Rebelling or going against the status quo is the very foundation that the spirit of rock was built upon. Religion is the fucking status quo. Bands aren't required to make songs about rebelling, and many of them don't (songs about love, life, etc are fine too). The reason there is no such thing as "christian rock" is because they are going with the status quo, and once they do this the spirit of rock has been killed. You get it?

  • @TruZer0 Aren't you making a rock status quo just by saying that? Now, in order to be rock, it has to be such-and-such, and can't be such-and-such. Anybody choosing to play rock music with christian influence is rebelling against YOURS and the "rock" society's status quo.

  • So, christian rock is like the rockingest rock ever, seeing as they're rebelling against all the rebels. Besides, religion is definitely NOT the status quo anymore. And to top it all off, Christians started out as a bunch of rebels. All this talk about being a rebel is like a big oxymoron. We can't ALL be rebels.

  • @ilseukm Christian music doesn't rock at all. They're rebelling against the rebels by going along with the status quo, and this makes them the real rebels? To say that religion isn't the status quo is such a foolish thing to say. Religion still has so much power over people in the world, and it still has huge influence on how people live their lives. I never said we have to all be rebels and you know it. How did Christians start out as rebels? They started their version of religion?

  • @TruZer0 Sociology, Psychology or Anthropology 101 depending on the professor. Been there done that. Don't worry, you'll find your way after you finish school, I can almost promise you that. You'll see things in a different light, I can see it happening right now. Good luck.... B

  • @bazuka007 Wait.....what just happened? What is this a response to?

  • @TruZer0 I went to a high school with 250 other kids, and of those, about 75% were smokers, drinkers, drug-users, and/or sexually active. For me to be open about the fact that I didn't do any of those things made me a rebel in my school. From what I saw, religion didn't have much power over these kids lives, and it's not like they were being persecuted for what they were doing. It was pretty easy for them to live that lifestyle actually. They weren't being "rebellious" at all.

  • @TruZer0 How did Christians start out as rebels??? They were so outrageous they were thrown to the lions for crying out loud.

  • As for the "we can't all be rebels" bit... Remember the days when tight pants on guys was considered really weird and punk? These days, it's totally normal. Once something becomes popular, it can't really be considered punk or rebellious. So how can rock be considered rebellious? It's pretty damn popular.

  • @ilseukm No, damn it you're thinking of the whole "non conformity" thing. Something can be about rebelling and still be popular if you go against whoever or whatever is in charge, such as the Government or Religion. Remember when Green Day put out the song American Idiot? One small part of the song goes "The subliminal mind fuck America" they say outright "fuck America" and that song was very popular. In Eminem's song Mosh he says "fuck Bush". Something can be popular and still rebel.

  • @TruZer0 Yes, Christians were rebels at first because they were persecuted, or persecuted because they were rebels. Yes, they were not the first, nor the last. That's ok.

Anyway, you made some pretty good points, so I'm going to have to switch gears. Now, rebels just sound annoying, and I would rather not classify christian rock as rebels. Sounds like only political bands like Green Day and System of a Down can be branded with "Rock". Whatever.

  • @ilseukm So they are rebels because they were persecuted? So that applies everyone right? Christians were not the first to be murdered for their beliefs and they are certainly not the last, this kind of thing still goes on today.

  • @TruZer0 wow, seriously, Christianity is the so called status quo?

if anything, "rebels" are the status quo these days. Everyone wants to be different, and when they think they have accomplished that, they just end up like every other "rebel." So you tell me, is Christianity really the status quo? Sure, people use in a defensive way to try to defend themselves and trick themselves into thinking they are better than other people, but a true Christian knows it takes a lot more than going to..

  • @samjoelego13 Not just Christianity, but all religion. Clearly you are not getting this, so let's just end it.

  • @TruZer0 church and trying not to say curse words. When you are a true Christian, you are automatically swimming against the current. So many people drink and do drugs that it is no longer different, but more of the same. See what I mean? Did you ever think about that?

  • @samjoelego13 It doesn't matter if people drink and do drugs because they can still be Christian and do it. People pick and choose parts to follow from their religion all the time, including you. This is pointless you honestly believe that religion isn't the status quo for some reason, and I'm tired of trying to explain it.

  • @TruZer0 hey, maybe we are both being a little ignorant. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree :D

  • @TruZer0 technicaly theres a scripture that says to be a folower of god you must not drink heavily (so basicly saying dont get drunk) and since alchohol addiction does about the same thing as drugs just in different ways you can reason that drugs are bad to. and drung and alchohol addiction shorten your life. and theres a scripture saying that you shouldnt needlesly endanger your life.(icant remember where the exact verse is so ill post that later.

  • @attackoftherandom I know, did I ever say that the Bible doesn't say that?

  • @TruZer0 u said it doesnt matter. i was just saying that it does.

  • @attackoftherandom So if someone drinks and does drugs they aren't Christian? I stand by what I said before, because every Christian, including you, picks parts of the Bible to follow and parts that they ignore.

  • @TruZer0 ummm...?? How can someone drink and do drugs and BE a Christian??? Why would God be happy about someone abusing a body that he created in the first place? hmmm....You are a bit confused. Read your Bible and pray everyday then you will find why there is NO wisdom in your acceptance of a Christian doing drugs and drinking alcohol... AND THIS IS YOUTUBE, NOT A DEBATE HALL!!!! I thought this was made for commenting on the videos...PAPER TONGUES ROCK. <3 I LOVE THIS SONG. XD

  • @msnichole91 So there is no such thing as a Christian that drinks or does drugs? Like I said before, people pick and choose what they will listen to from their holy books, and this does include you. Maybe according to your definition they aren't a real Christian and I'm sure to their definition you aren't a real Christian. It's all subjective. Whenever two or more people can communicate they will debate about things, it's just how we are.

  • @msnichole91 thats funny i thought the bible taught acceptance guess i better do my reading

  • @msnichole91 I read my Bible evryday too. That's one of the things it takes to be a Christian...COMMITMENT!!! You are such an intelligent person. So RIGHT ON :D. I can tell you LOVE the Lord!!! love the caps (text) by the way. hehe.

  • @msnichole91 Nicely said !

  • @msnichole91 if u want to let go of worldly things you would have to live like Gandhi which i seriously doubt you do and BTW i don't read my bible because i don't believe in god i don't believe in someone who loves people so much he'd let them starve to death thumbs up for the asshole atheist!!!

  • @msnichole91 me and you dont read the same bible. My bible is sexist and racist.

  • @msnichole91 I'm not sure what sparked this comment, but I'm going to pick a part and run with it...off topic or not. Alot of people think that Whites don't belong in rap or blacks don't belong in Rock or country. My view on that is the same as my political view...If you have the same people doing the same thing its going to get old...FAST. You NEED DIVERSITY! It keeps things interesting!

  • Comment removed

  • @msnichole91 i'm not gonna lie.. i love this post. oh and this song as well! ♥

  • @msnichole91 hey me too!

  • @msnichole91 like a wise man once told me, "it's cute when people say they don't judge anyone, but if we all followed that rule, murderers, rapists, and thieves would still be roaming the streets."

"LOVE" and "ACCEPTANCE" are two DIFFERENT things, my friend.

for example, you could LOVE an abusive uncle, but that doesn't mean you have to accept / condone their behavior as an alcoholic, druggy, or wife beater.

P.S. i'm glad you read your bible, but it sounds like you skim through A LOT of it.

  • @msnichole91 Think ab
