  • The more complicated the Starbucks order the bigger the asshole!!

  • last saturday and no, she didnt have a reciept), then your gonna get treated rudely. And deservedly so. We don't get paid to care THAT much.

  • I just got off a 8 hr shift at starbucks and let me tell you, this video is bullshit and needs to be deleted. What they aren't showing you is the lousy wages these employees are paid (I get 7.50 per hr), the insane amount of info your expected to know, the stupid shit customers ask for (kids size frapps, skinny mochas...with whip, etc) and yes I know it's my job. But remember if you act like an idiot (had a lady come in yesterday wanting a free drink because no one put syrup in her order....

  • I give Starbucks credit for raising the quality of fast food coffee. You can now get a decent cup of coffee even at Burgher King. however; McDonald's and Starbucks are just about on par with one another in terms of clientele, atmosphere etc...both suck. I want a good cup of coffee without all the Bullshit. I don't need perfect strangers sliding up on me, getting in my business. I don't need all that canned shit music,,,esp, XMAS "have a holly, jolly Xmas" please. Starbucks is yesterdays news.

  • I agree with 'themightythor27' the customer is NOT always right, let's be honest as customers we are incredible rude!! And we expect everything for nothing. I for one can't stand it when people are rude to the day to day workers. I'm sorry but when you are making minimum wage you aren't getting paid to care, and that's just a fact. People want better service, make the corporations pay their employee's a decent wage!

  • @tosheatower Your rightness level is over 90000!

  • Holy product placement, Batman!! Does NBC know Starbucks is using this to advertise.....oh yeah. They do. Anyway, I like the "went in search of good customer service" line. It's cure. It assumes I am as satisfied as a 6 month old who just sucked my momma's tit dry. My bwain need nappy, Mommy. Starbuck good. baaaaahh!!! baaaaahhh!!!

  • It's not about what the customer says, it's about what they meant to say. "Oh, I'm sorry I wanted that latte to be iced." Even if they didn't say iced when they ordered it, just say "I'm sorry, let me make you the one you wanted."

  • I think if you read the book raving fans it will definitely give you a different perspective on how customer service should be ran

  • Comment removed

  • Nobody takes pride in their minimum wage bullshit job because there is no pride to be had from it. You deal with asshole "I'M ALWAYS RIGHT" customers who are very proud be the cheap fucks they are and con you out of something, mostly dignity or self respect. Working at walmart, I've now lost all respect for the common person and humanity in general. My girlfriend works at Starbucks and it's the same story there too. Entitled assholes who take their bullshit out on you. Fuck the customer.

  • I like Starbucks coffee, but I don't like Starbucks log a lot of people don't like it!!!!

  • merry starbucks lol

  • i wish every Starbucks was like this.......

  • You know when he is shaking that guys hand in his head he is saying "nigga fuck yo life I don't give a fuck about you" and the lady with the baby he is thinking "that's one ugly ass baby ya old white bitch!"...At any second he could snap and have a nigga moment and every black man knows what I mean.

  • Customer service at Starbucks in the UK is excellent, very relaxed and friendly, but a bit to friendly as i've been called 'dude' on several occasions. Good customer service is one thing, but they need to keep things in perspective and remember their is a professional relationship involving the exchange of goods/services for money. Therefore it is more appropriate to be referred to as 'sir' and not regarded as some 'dude' they know on their media studies course.

  • listen faggots working as waiters/food servers, you work for MEeeE. you can start telling me what to do when you get a college degree and a job that doesn't pay minimum wage lmao

  • @1992420256152118 I have a degree... so do almost all of the other baristas working at my starbucks store.

  • @1992420256152118 What's a college degree if you act like an immature moron?

  • I live in washington state where starbucks was founded, we have them EVERYWHERE, who the hell needs a.starbucks in a safeway, albertsons, AND a starbucks coffee shop all within 3 blocks of.eachother?

  • There are far too many starbucks and they are all clone stores. Enough is enough. Coffee is pretty shite for you anyway

  • Starbucks is the McDonalds of the coffee world. ie crap.

  • Starbucks customer service is GARBAGE. Those knuckle heads who work there have no concept of customer service. And I'm not sure if the ppl who hire them have any idea what customer service means. I can see why they don't have a good job. Every other day I a different idiot behind the counter. It a place where the scum bags either quit or get fired within 3 months..

  • @ibis646 No offense but you sound like a complete prick.

  • @ibis646 Ive never seen a store with such high turn over, are you sure its starbucks and not dunkin?

  • Yea it’s the music that is getting your employees all fired up, Not all the gallons of caffeine that your selling.

  • I've only been to Starbucks a few times (mostly because the closest one is about 20 minutes way), but the employees were very pleasant!

  • you want good customer service dont act like a roidraging asshole. If you are a really nice customer I make a point of getting you your coffee extra quickly and hooking you up if for somereason you have to wait too long.

  • S T A R B U C K S CUSTOMERS ARE GARBAGE. Driving up in their Benz trying to always get free crap. Seriously though, to all you fucking snobby, ungrateful customers.... grow some fucking people skills. Karma is a bitch and it WILL catch up to you, you worthless wastes of air.

  • As much as I appreciate this video, not all customers are as pleasant as they are in the video. I try to be nice to all my customers, even when I feel like crap. But the other day, I asked a woman how she was and she snapped back at me, "Just fucking serve me!" so I spent the rest of the transaction in silence because quite honestly, she scared me. She was giving me evils throughout the entire transacation, just because I tried to be pleasant to her. Lastly, the customer isn't always right...

  • @harpsealpup86 OMG, I would have refused to serve her, as I have done many times in the past!! Some people are just rude.

  • love starbucks soo badly

  • Although I havent ordered at a starbucks before i would actually prefer their employees to be themselves. I wouldnt want someone to act like they give a **** about me. Personally that would only make me feel uncomfortable if it was part of their job description to interact with all their customers when they didnt really want to.

  • @EXPLOSIVEXPLOSION as an ex employee, we just try to read people. If you seem the type who wouldn't want to be bothered, no worries I just try to get you served asap. If you're the guy that's in daily and wants to BS at the service area, I dont mind that at all. The regulars really made the job fun. I had one guy who was a regular that was never in to talking too. Another always thought i needed to hear her life story lol. You meet some interesting people thats for sure...

  • If every customer I got acted like that manager then I would bend over backwards every order.

  • I worked for starbucks and they really do teach you all about customer service. It's big on their list. If you go into a starbucks and they're not friendly then that is poor management right there.

  • I've worked at 3 different restaurants and I can tell you that the customer is almost ALWAYS wrong. Also when you go to a restaurant and your order is wrong. dont take it out on your waitress/waiter because in my experience it is almost always the cooks fault. Granted everyone makes mistakes, but when the cook would mess up and one of my tables would be dissatisfied; I would receive a horrible tip when I did a good job. So I always tip of the waitress.waiter service and NOT food quality/accuracy

  • @bacaboi Your experience does not account for every experience. Some waiters could just be shit with orders. Besides, I don't even have to pay for part of your paycheck to begin with, so if I'm paying a premium for food and not getting what I want, someone is losing money and waiters are the easiest way to cut back on my losses.

  • @bacaboi Seriously.

I especially don't like it when customers yell at the waiters or waitresses for bad food, as if they were the ones who went into the kitchen to cook. I wish customers would have the balls to go into the kitchen and yell at the chef instead of being bullying pansies taking out their anger on irrelevant people.

  • Ok I'm a 23 yr old guy and I worked at starbucks over a year and became a manager. I honestly loved my job and got to know so many customers that are now my friend. I had crazy people who cussed me out for not using nonfat lol but I loved the music, smell of espresso and friends I worked with

  • acting for the cameras i should have typed there lol

  • yeah..they are acting for the customers...my local starbucks are filed with greasy faced teenagers who dont give a shit. one took 10 minutes to my latte the other day

  • @dave46563 yep complain, but you'll be back again. just get a brew coffee, if you dont like the wait, would you give a shit dealing with rude assholes for $8 an hour?

  • Ooooo physical threats via youtube comments. And hence why I said "minimum service" which is basically be polite and professional. No rapport, no fake ass smilining. No pretending I'm overly enthusiastic. Just enough to get through the 50 millionith order. I've worked in gas stations. Cleaned SHIT up after people, froze my ass off restocking a fridge. People wanting to return cigarettes, and lord knows cleaning up every mess people don't clean after their kids for 3 years.

  • What IS this, the Disney Starbux? When I worked there I was treated like crap most of the time, by other "partners" and by customers. We never had time to chit-chat. Always multi-tasking. They had me emptying the bathroom trash and cleaning toilets while running back & forth to my register with icky rubber gloves on. I'd be cleaning the bathroom, and my "partners" would be yelling at me to get on my register cuz a customer came up, even though they were right there at the counter, laughing.

  • Customer Service sucks...no matter where you work. I work for starbucks and its not the worst job in the world but let me tell you it has its bad moments. NOT ALL CUSTOMERS ARE AS NICE AS THE ONES YOU SEE HERE. they can be quite rude trust me.

  • Yeah right! Starbux is going to save the Oconomy

  • This manager is on ecstasy. Dealers serving addicts. Addicts making money on addicts. Read below.

  • Apparently someone here missed the "Starbucks Rant Song" ver. 1 & 2?

  • at starbucks they train you disrespect your dignity, train you not voice your opinions, customers always are right, even if they call you a piece of shit, the manager is always right, even if his accusations are grounded upon bullshit.

i worked there for a year and a half. i know its a pretty good job in terms schedule flexibility and an easy job. but there's no way im going to continue to work for a company that tells your opinion, value and dignity means nothing to "their corporate atmosphere

  • This video is horse shit!

  • YOU try being interested in your job if you're making minimum wage, you shit.

  • They should have filmed this at 5am when some shithead orders 15 drinks in the drive-through then refuses to move while 8 other cars fill in behind them pissed at YOU!

  • Where in the world is this Starbucks's...Boston?

  • Is he still saying since starbucks has cut labor, increased the workload by 70% and kept the pay the same?

  • Trust me, I wish I could help more, but my hands are tied. When I tell you I can't do something, I really really can't do something!

  • I fully realize it isn't everyone out there who is doing this, but as a customer service rep I have been verbally abused more times then I can count. I am an agent for Bank of America (no, I dont directly work for BoA, jst a contract company and the reason is cause I need the job to make ends meet, the job sucks but no one else is hiring). The big thing with me is that ME personally, I didn't cause your problem! Don't yell at me and call me names!! I didnt do anything! I can only help so much.

  • People, it takes a lot of energy to work a minimum-wage job serving people that visit restaurants where they have minimum-wage jobs.

Where is the fucking decency nowadays? I have NEVER, I repeat NEVER, treated an employee of any restaurant or other company without respect. It's NOT hard at all and it makes a huge difference if we'd all treat people in these low paying jobs like that. They are not fucking robots.

I'm republican by the way. Join me.

  • The customer is not always right.

  • @themightythor27 I TOTALLY AGREE I GIVE YOU A 100

  • It all starts with management, most managers at retail stores for example r ass to the employees, so by not being friendly with your own employees ur already creating a poor environment for your employees. Most company's don't realize that it starts with the management team. You can't just tell your employees oh be kind be friendly, and you as a manager are not kind and friendly to your own employees. I see it every day , you need a strong foundation to build a house. this man is a good manager

  • @LadeOnline Til he's off camera and says hey c'mere, you guys aren't in trouble. And proceeds to spit profanities in thier faces for the next ten minutes; threating jobs and families and livelihoods. You experience the abuse in your 6figure white collar job....It's so improbable that some douch lording over minimum wage workers has aggression to exercise? At least you have a "resume" and friends. You deal over texts, by your daddy's wages. We just smile and show u what a 5 yr old could do

  • I've noticed that how I treat a customer is directly effected by how that customer acts. It's not a conscious decision since it happens before I really notice. If they're happy and cheerful and talkative, I'm the same. If they're quite then I'm quite.

I do my best to be cheerful, but if they're rude and act like they have a chip on their shoulder...well I attempt to get through their order as quickly a neutrally as possible. Only twice out of 6 years have I had a customer so bad that I couldn't.

  • Larry needs some sleep

  • starbucks commercial

  • enough of waiting in line forever and then paying a fortune for coffee only to find there's no place to sit because you are in the de facto office of people who hang out there for 10 hours a day!

  • Starbucks sells dvds?

  • i'd never thought i'd ever say these words but... fake and gay!

  • Oh, and We got a company wide bonus last November, I'm a supervisor so I got like $350 I think, added to my paycheck, just because our company did better than expected that fiscal year. EVERYONE that worked for the company got the bonus. They pay us to be happy, and if your not happy at Starbucks go work at taco bell where you really get no benefits or perks!

  • Inkey, your hella stupid. Lol. Most companies, you have to pay for your healthcare. Unless you make bank, your company probably pays for it in that case. But that's rare these days. Starbucks is a great company to work for, I just cashed in my stock options they gave me this year and I got a little over $2,000. Free money. Just for working for the company. So don't trash talk my company in regards to benefits, you'll never win. No other (retail/fast food) company compares.

  • Its very bewildering how people dont have enough common sense to know that you should be nice to people who are making something that they will be eating or drinking. An fyi to all who dont know, giving people decaf is a very BASIC form of revenge, it can get MUCH worse. Ive known people who push the rinse button in drinks (2 shots of water w/ coffee grounds in it), rung out a sanitized rag in the beverage, spitting in a drink, making it 200 degrees, the list goes on. Act right for your own sake

  • @steph87tube seriously. i dont understand it either. i guess they like they taste of foreign things in their drinks.

  • Brooke Carlson had a bit to much Starbucks that morning. She is annoying.

  • wow if you get an addreniline rush over coffee... i dont even know what to say except for you to get a job

  • Liars

1- must of them are women or gay with nasty attitude

2- they are not italian, so don't try to tell me venti means xlarge it means twenty.

3- they get mad at you if you don't order the way they want...

what hell.... I want a large black fucking coffee... that's all,so this guy that walks as if he about to fly gives me an small black coffee.

So I tell him, I want a LARGE BLACK COFFEE, and he was like, this is the grande starbucks black coffee so I went to mcdonalds and got the same for $1

  • employee pride? Do these customers realise that most people in retail have no health insurance, low pay, have to stand 8 hours and be a verbal punching bag all day

  • @inkey2 Starbucks gives health insurance to people who work over 20 hours per week

  • @maximino27 they "give it to them" or the cost is taken out of your pay. Many busineses state we "offer" health insurance but you have to pay for it......the wordin is very tricky on this issue

  • Larry has a file on all of us!

  • C'MON!! As if Starbocks needs MORE FREE ADVERTISING? That's all this is about. They are so CONTRIVED, FAKE, annoying and plain nerve wracking at ALL starbocks I've visited in Canada. Oh sure they smile, but deep inside they Seeth.

It's not hard to see. This TV show, shows the sheen but not the shit underneath. Just watch the Crew Leader for 10 minutes. They are the ones taking the brunt and they are NEVER in a good mood. I go there all the time to use free wireless and drink water. IT's great!

  • @oatstao That makes you an asshole.

  • i want to go to that starbucks :)

  • I worked in customer service and now I'm a terrorist.

  • The starbucks that I go to is great, very douce customers though

  • I'd like a double venti grande americano, chai vanilla, minty mocha-chino, caramel machiato, half caf, half decaf, one equal, one sweet and low, one raw sugar, skinny organic extra virgin olive oil, soy breve with no foam. extra whip, extra hot.. and oh yes: leave off the top so i can put on my own sprinkles.

did you know a starbucks employee isnt allowed to ask for your order a second time or you get it for free?

  • @DarkShadowLink207 That's....not true at all. I work at Starbucks and ask the customers to repeat the order two or three times, and I repeat it back to them at least twice as well. I have never heard of not being allowed to ask the order a second time otherwise, especially cause half the people who come in are so tired they have mush mouth and mumble like a motherfucker.

  • @DarkShadowLink207 Did you know you're talking shit. They can ask as many times as they like.

And what you 'ordered' in your comment isn't even a drink and makes no sense from the moment that you asked for two different cup sizes in the first three words!!

  • @DarkShadowLink207 there are many hidden perks like that. Like if they don't have the Coffee brewed you ask for, you get it free. They used to be VERY diligent about it, but about 5 years ago, there are many times I have to "remind" them as they play dumb now. Everyone looks so Tired in the video. That's pretty accurate. WOrking in the "CAFFEINE STEAMER" will drain your energy. Even sitting in there too long will cause problems with thought process.

  • @DarkShadowLink207 One hundred percent false.

  • I love it when the people pushing buttons on the robots at statbucks refer to themselves as baristas. That's like people working for mcdonalds calling themselves chefs.

  • @PatrickRob82 they still have to know the proper way to steam the milk which is an art in it's self and they also have to be educated on the various roasts of coffee they offer so if a customer asks a question like which should I buy for an espresso maker or how is the flavour changed by roasting the beans longer, they can answer.

  • @canascot02 The proper way? Hardly. They pre-steam the milk in large pitchers and then let it sit, allowing the foam to separate from the milk. Also, having a knowledge about various coffee roasts has little to do with operating an actual espresso machine. If you can't pull a good shot, you're not a barista and I submit that the pre-steaming that goes on there eliminates any chance of pouring a proper latte.

  • @PatrickRob82 True enough with the espresso machine, I know it's automatic, and probably pre programmed, right? But I have never seen them pre steaming milk or anything. Anytime I've been in for a latte, cappuccino, mocha etc. I watch them pour the milk in the jug and steam normally. Maybe they do it different where you are. I've only been in sbux in canada and switzerland.

  • @PatrickRob82 Working for SBux I can tell you we steam milk fresh for every drink we make.

  • @Pleasepiememistress Perhaps in the UK but not in the US

  • this is such a lie...Starbucks sucks!

  • All it takes for someone to be a good customer to me is to say either "Hello," Please," or "Thank You." I don't even ask for all three anymore. That is how low I have let my standards for a good customer slip.

Why is he carrying on a conversation while there are people in line? BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOU PEOPLE ASKED FOR. The research that corporations put into their marketing and customer service training has determined this. If it wasn't efficient on customer returns they wouldn't have us do it

  • They are such friendly people!

  • I stopped going to Starbucks three days ago. I got tired of the lousy service and attitude. Most of the time the "baristas" are having a conversation and won't acknowledge you until the finish their conversation. I always get a "venti mocha frapuchino with half the mocha" nothing too fancy and yet they never get it right. Also they ask for my name then leave the drink on the counter without calling it. Why ask for the name then? Now I go to McDonalds. Good coffee. Save money.

  • R U kidding me? Starbucks customer service cant be any worse. They greet you with an overwhelmingly fake and annoying welcome, and treat you like crap for the duration of your stay. 75th ave and thunderbird in Peoria az is the worse. I saw them spit in someones coffee and when I reported it they sent me a $25 gift card. SHAME ON STARBUCKS!

  • Yeah.. Starbucks isn't like that in england -.-

  • this is clearly an ad for Starbucks...

  • I appreciate dealing with real people. I know from experience that working for a corporation eats away at your humanity. Especially working at the bottom of the pyramid. I know anyone that is that upbeat while working a meaningless job is either on drugs or they are putting up a front.

  • Yeah... You better smile and treat me like a god. I just payed $50 for four coffees and a scone.

  • Comment removed

  • @ytstar0002 boo you whore.

  • Yeah,...you want me to smile and give a shit about you for my less than $10 bucks per hour. You don't care about me personally, this job sucks, most of as customer's are a pain in the ass. You treat me like a serf, as a opposed to an actual human being when you walk though the door. Most customer's DONT say good morning, dont say THANK YOU, and don't defend you from other customer's when they are being douchebags...so I say, for the little money your paying me...you get minimum service.

  • @RealDre25 That sucks! I love starbucks, and as a customer I always am like hey, good morning, how's your day, thanks etc. etc. Some people are just ass holes. Yeah 10$/ hour is pretty shitty. I don't make much more as a cook. I think Id like ur job. free drink, free whole bean coffee, making coffees, listening to good music and working in a team environment. I work in kitchen with no windows, really hot, slaving away, and getting covered in crap.

  • @canascot02 It's cute how you think a CD skipping on the same song for 8 hours, leaning out a window and being pelted with hail for hours without being allowed a coat, and hot milk poured all over the front of you just about five days a week is a cakewalk. I haen't worked there in years and would't go back with a gun to my head.

  • @skrodevoli1984 the cd skippings the worst...

  • @RealDre25 you take that attitude when I'm in front of you and I'm coming over the counter pussy and you're getting fired for taking a much too long medical leave.

  • @RealDre25 thats why you stand up and be the better person and great them no matter what. Grow up and stop crying.

  • fuck starbucks, i have friends that work there and they wont let me set foot in their store. If you knew the comtempt the baristas (not all but 90 percent) have for the customers.

From ex lax in the chocolate chips to filling the first in the morning urn with Decaf, expired pastries, using low fat instead of cream, etc.

  • "the customer is always right!" suuure

the people who say that have obviously never worked at customer service and met bitchy customers.

  • "What happened to customers always being right?" - It was a bullshit myth all along, most people now abuse that mantra to try to rip off stores they visit and harass employees without any feeling of accountability.

  • if this isn't a viral video for Starbucks I will eat my shoe...

  • i hate customers that moan, im rushed off my feet at my job, serving food, its not my fault that eggs arent ready but customers still moan! im literally rushing around serving full breakfasts, cleaning tables and getting everything done as well as trying to remember whos plate is whos and then delivering them by hand, customers are so rude sometimes, its unbelievable!!! tutting and sighing....urgh!!

  • DO U REALLY THINK THAT BLACK BUNNY WAS THE BEST CHOICE FOR MANAGER??

  • @dannys2222

    ur an idiot.

  • @dannys2222

Ur an idiot. Maybe someday you'll be a manager, but it's not likely, because you are an idiot.

  • @nutEprofessor NO ONE IS MORE FUCKED UP THEN U ARE!!! U SUCK UR MANAGERS COCK!!!!!

  • @dannys2222

My, you are an angry little man. I don't know whether to laugh at you or cry for you. I'll go with the laughing. BTW, your vocabulary needs work. And your website is lame.

  • @dannys2222

My, you are an angry little man. I don't know whether to laugh at you or cry for you. I'll go with the laughing. BTW, your vocabulary needs work. And your website is lame, although it explains a lot.

  • why is everybody so negative ?

  • I'm only working at Starbucks for the health benefits.

  • i work at starbucks on 4th av and central down in las vegas i sell crack on my lunch break come on out ive got weed to !!

  • You actually pay extra for that good customer service. Ever compared the price of a cup of JO's at Tim Horton's and Starbucks?

  • I love starbucks everytime i go theres something funny that happens ! unlike timhorton they treat the people like a herd of fkn orks

  • Rude to me @ Starbucks and your drink is going to be DECAF :)

  • @NeonCupcakez17 woot to that ;)

  • I'm proud for working at Starbucks

  • @ModarAlakhras I go to Starbucks (in wales UK) and I am very very happy with the customer service in Starbucks. They are great and I probably know then too well as I dont even need to ask for what I want they know. (coffee addict) lol

  • Oh about customer service, I had run into a few of those non positive apples but most of them turn out to be alright. MOstly ever store has its drama and etc but its the customer aka regulars that make me stay and keep a smile on my face. Its because of my good customer service and my good memory of knowing my regular's names and drinks, i was able to network with them! In return, they have provided me with academic opportunities!

  • All i have to say is that, I am surprise that corporate allowed a film crew to film about starbucks and customer service. I say this because I work for a licenced starbucks for over a year and a half and we are never allowed by the district manager to have any film crew document starbucks because you never know if that film crew would go around a make a mockery of the company's image. Licenced or company operated. Media releases or so forth are only allowed if the district manager approves it

  • In what state is that?

  • when i worked in retail i always tried to be nice and polite to people, but holy shit. a great deal of customers make it practically impossible to be even civil. most people are the dumbest, most ignorant fucks you'll ever meet. really, for no good reason, either. customers will fall apart over the smallest thing. it's like you're being paid just to deal with verbal (and even physical) abuse.

  • Food service employees would be more willing to provide great customer service if the customers weren't entitled arrogant assholes...

  • @darthmango But thats when customer service is the most important.

  • @kahrytan True, but there is only so much a person can take. It is possible to provide great service without suffering fools and assholes. The real problem is that companies like starbucks enable these people to be douchebags and even rewards them for it.

  • @darthmango It's not just Starbucks. It's everywhere. You get rude, inconsiderate customer everywhere. The challenge is treat each and every customer the same way no matter how they treat you. Remember the Golden Rule. (wikipedia). One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself

  • @kahrytan Yes I am well aware that these morons shop everywhere. The reason they even exist is because these companies reward them for douchey behavior. This isn't a challenge, there is no reward for dealing with them. I come to work fully prepared to give out fantastic customer service, and I expect the same of my employees. I just understand that when you're making what the average food service employee makes, it really isn't enough to put up with the abuse from customers.

  • I have worked for Starbucks for 4 years now, and it is HARD. I have worked in other restaurants as well as a host, food runner, and server, and Starbucks is by far the hardest. The rudeness customers give is absolutely out of control. I have had food or even 200 degree coffee thrown at my baristas and me! So many of the customers that the company caters to are just rich cheap SNOBS!!! Flip out at the barista for charging 50 cent for a refill... but drive away in their Ferrari... nice....

  • @brainboy109 i know what that is like at my starbucks store in So Cal ... we live in such a wealthy community and our tips are trash. ! cheap bastards

  • Everyone complains about C.S until they work it,

one problem i think is people forget when they are 'off work' that the folks working in shops/ stores are not just workers but are people like them. Sure, you have a job to do, but some folks think they are royalty and can put you down because your on the clock.

Humanity is a full time job.

  • Im going to be honest here. i worked at starbucks for over 4 years, and I had good days and bad. The main problem is they dont pay their employees enough for what they do. Customer service is not for everyone, especially if you get easily annoyed by REALLY picky people. These employees may LOOK happy, but if they were off the clock I wonder what they would say about their job. Slave labor in my opinion. Getting up at 3am to make coffee for everyone and acting happy about it is NOT easy!!

  • @soundmind529 i agree, i did my first shift serving breakfasts and lunches and customers are moany as hell, even if i say its my first day they expect everything to be done PERFECTLY and they assume that because theyre customers theyre right! plus when theyre picking foods they backtrack and ask for something different when theres a whole queue of people waiting....ahhh!

  • @soundmind529 i worked in disney!!! kinda the same!!!

i difficult for make a "fake" smile all the time!!!!!!

  • I used to rant about bad customer service until I worked in it. The rudeness coming from the customers will drive any polite person crazy.

  • HIDDEN REASON CUSTOMERS DONT KNOW ABOUT GREAT SERVICE>>>> THE SHIFT GOES BY ALOT FASTER

  • i hate starbucks.....too many things to choose from...choose for me random employee behind the counter .______.

  • The single worst thing about this kind of job is your not in control of when work is done because you have to wait for the damn customer to walk in. Waiting on customers.......That sux!

  • FUCK SMILES I'LL SMILE WHEN IT IS REAL. I'M NOT PROUD OF STARBUCKS BECAUSE I DON'T OWN THE DAMN PRODUCTS. ILL LET THE OWNER BE PROUD OF HIS PRODUCTS.

  • The idea of "the customer is always right" was the worst thing to ever happen to the free market.

  • @DeleeP: The majority of people are good though. Where I work, you can't help but laugh about these people. Because these rude people have lost touch with reality. And there's ways to turn around the rudeness, I'm a firm believer that remaining kind actually pisses them off more than getting rude back. And if that doesn't work and they cross that line of rude to outright insulting, that's when you get management involved (aka swearing, yelling, etc).

  • You know, good customer service stems from happy employees. And there's many factors that play into that, ranging from pay to basic motivation. But as someone who works in retail, it amazes me how many customers people can be incredibly rude for either stupid reasons or reasons that are their fault, such as paying for something with an expired credit card. Respect is a two way street, just because we're trained to deal with your rudeness doesn't give you the right to be rude.

  • ive been a starbucks partner for about 2 and a half years, and i completely agree with what they say in this video; except for the select few stores you go to .. pretty much any starbucks you go to will give you legendary customer service, and treat you as more than just a customer. thats what i try and do to everyone

  • fuck this shit...

  • LOL, What happened to polite and intelligent customers? I agree with everyone here who has had to put up with customer service. Ive word in customer service for 6 years (food service) part time through high school and college. Many customers are as rude and entitled as they are ignorant. Who hell expects employees working for 7.25 an hour to be happy about you taking 45 minutes to make up your mind about your order while everyone waits?
