  • Wondering if you can help, your videos seem super helpful, but I'm caught at an early stage. When I click 'save', I get an error message saying "flash quicktime is not available. please make sure quicktime is properly installed." I installed quicktime earlier today, do you know what might be the problem?

  • Your videos are super helpful! Thanks.

FYI: For those who need to use this method, aside from vision lab, You can also import the jpeg sequence into Quicktime. (File>Open Image Sequence) from there it gives you a list of FPS to choose from and save! Your videos have helped me on a few occasions. Cheers!

  • I have installed QuickTime, but when i go to export it it says the component cant be found! Whats happening!

  • hey when i exported i got a severe audio sync glitch, does anyone know how to fix this?

  • how come i get this message when i tried export quicktime mov.

Warning: No libraries were linked as Runtime Shared Libraries (RSLs) because of your publish settings: Exporting QuickTime Movie

after the export, the result of the video were halved. so what do i do >< same as me

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Its pretty funny, im subbed to you and yet i always use the search bar to look for animation tuts, and i end up here with the answer to my problems lol! Thanks for all your videos!

  • Whenever I try to publish with Quicktime, some of the frames leave "trails" that make the vid look ugly. I'm doing it on "on disk" option and it STILL does that. This is so frustrating. Any ideas?

  • @Vflashvic NO ONE CAN ANSWER THIS QUESTION AND ITS FUZZING ME OFF!!!

  • @Vflashvic I have a new tutorial available that shows a way to export videos through Flash without glitches. The method requires more time and software, but it does work. So check that out, you'll see it in the video replies listed here.

  • Every time i tried to use quicktime with it , i kept getting ' you need to put publish setting to flash player 5, and i DID and it kept saying that!

i also tried windows AVI but the settings were so confusing and the DEFALTS were not set correctly...

  • It doesn't work with Vcam =(

  • Nice tutorial but When I did the conversion to quicktime movie extension my animation size ratio got screwed.

My Flash animation originally is 500 x 300 and It converted it to 500 X 500 and looks very strechy.. XD

  • Im having issues, everytime i try to export my video with quicktime it says there something wrong with QuickTime and to re-install it, so i did, but nothing happened

  • how i can export that to hd 1280 * 720

  • I'm having a problem.. whenever I try to export the animation, the movie becomes choppy and slow. The computer I use at school is pretty high end (2x2 ghz dual-core 12 GB of ram) so I don't think a hardware problem. So far I've tried to change the frame rate, quality, resolution, time, and computer but the problem still persists. The only thing I found that slightly helps is removing the amount of symbols on the main stage. Any ideas? I'll try anything.

  • i do have quicktime and windows xp:)

  • I have a huge problem. I have a preloader infront of my animation and when i export as .mov it will only get the preloader and not the animation. Is there anyway to get past this?

  • @TheAndyGerm i got the same prob mate could u tell me if u find a solution... from know on i mighjt just put hypercam recordings of animations to utube with the sound

  • Whenever I try to use mov. it tells me to change my flash settings to flash player five and I do that but it still says that. Help?

  • @superlynx98

I have exactly the same problem. The colour is always slightly different and my animation leaves traces of itself. I have experimented quite a bit but no success. have you found a solution?

  • @lukebaggott same problem here, when i make it a quicktime movie I get the f***ing traces.

    take a look....... watch?v=1aL8iH62_yg

in fact they are really thin in that one, i get sometimes horrible and thick ones.

  • whenever i export my movie, (even at the best quelity function) its bad quality!

say i have some sort of tween, it will leave somthing like a trail .

    PLEASE HELP!

  • when i export it looks fine but when i bring it into sony vegas it looks like shit !!! the animation is blured and lip sync is off and it has a trail, HELP!

  • this really helps thanks..but... i still have a problem.. i dont know how to use to export movie using a flash 8 version.. please do help. i really wanna upload my work in youtube.

  • thankyou verymuch.

this has been an extremely helpul video.

  • Quick question, how do you extend a repeatable animation for a certain amount of time?

  • why is it that when i export. it takes me a heck of a long time to export even a 30 second movie.

is it because my canvas size is

    1270 by 720?

  • @nedcooked3

The speed depends of to things how good your computer are and how big your file are.

In your case you are uploading in the low HD so i think its slow because you got a bi file

  • IT COMES UP WITH"the versoin of flash in not supported by quicktime. plese set the flash settings to 5 or lower"

i do that and it still dont work somebody help me please

  • @flashallround i got the same problem, did you figure it out yet?

  • @TheAndyGerm nope i might just use hypercam to record the screen with the sound and upload that

  • @flashallround I'm guessing you guys never found a solution to this problem. :( Can't even find anything on it while googling.

  • I've tried this several times but Youtube seems incapable of uploading my video without it halving the framerate. I've used a framerate of 25fps and a canvas size of 640x360 so I shouldn't have any problems... please help!

  • Thank you! : D

That really helped me a lot : D

  • Great tutorials! You just made me 2 1/2 times better with Flash

  • umm wen i upload it ot youtube it loses the sync can you help ?????

  • Happened to me as well...

  • If you use the bone feature or motion tweening, will the animations export properly to video? Or do you have to use frame by frame animation to make your animations export properly to video?

    Thanks.

  • Thank you for this video tutorial. It really helped me.

  • Bad news, I don't have quicktime on my Windows Vista. Thanks for the help though!

[I hate it when I ask for help and people try to help yet your missing something ya know!]

  • On Windows I think there's an option to export as Windows AVI or something similar. If you select that you should be able to go through a similar process like I do on my video.

  • I have Quicktime installed so I think it's good news.

Does this work for Windows 7 as well?

  • I haven't used Windows 7 yet but I can't see why it wouldn't work. I'm sure it'll work just fine.

  • @BoogsterSU2 Just go to apple dot com and install quicktime.....

  • but i dont have adobe flash:(
