I watched this series as a little kid in the late 70s, and seeing them now, I can't help but wonder if any of my personality or morals were shaped by this show.
For a cartoon role model, kids could do a lot worse than Tarzan from this cartoon. The writers actually had some decent things to say.
Hearing all the animal names brings back a flood of memories for me too.
71savages, I totally agree. I got to see Tarzan in re-runs during the mid-eighties. The message is just one thing that makes this cartoon endearing. Very few of the newer ones can claim this.
I too get a flood watching Tarzan, but it mostly comes from the soundtrack, particularly the music.

@tonepin never missed in espdieo. stuck on a farm in the middle of no where. I could not do much on Saturdays anyway.
Wish they will do a live movie of Tarzan base on this seris or a TV seris with live actors for that matter.
As long as they do it justice.
