I don't think humans will ever know anything about how the universe was made. It's infinite, it is just plain too massive to even try to understand. @MODEPIIC the big bang theory doesn't suggest that time had a beginning, it suggests that the universe was always here. my understanding of it was that all matter existed as one dense star. then it exploded, and thats why the universe is the way it is now. but this professor called brian cox explains it differently, he says it wasn't a single occurence that happened in one place, turns out it's more complicated than i thought.

@mrdavid609 yeah it is an undeniable fact that galaxies are moving apart at a faster and faster rate. This is proven and if you deny this. Also there is evidence that the big bang happened, but it isn't an 100% fact, although it can fill in many spaces that other theories and ideas leave out.

@kdc43 science is about following the evidence and all the galactic bodies are are moving from what seems to be a common area(with gravity taken into consideration), and gravity increases with matter, so in other word the more matter, the more gravity. so stars have more density then planets, and when stars are that dense there is heat and the elements disintegrate, not entirely, just that the electrons are freed. now, these process increase in severity with gravity and that starts the theory.

What exactly has gravity to do with stopping Big Bang? Big Bang is expansion of spacetime. Big Bang is not some kind of explosion that causes stuff to fly apart - the objects in space are actually relatively in same place and the movements are local - what is happening is that SPACETIME is expanding, that is why galaxies are moving apart from each other. In other words - more and more room appears between galacies as space expands.
Big Bang cosmology and quantum physics is something that takes MANY YEARS to study before you are competent to say anything about it, so go and start from learning how to use proper punctuation before you criticise 21st century science.

Big Bang was not "explosion" in any way. Explosion is rapid oxydation reaction or nuclear reaction. Big Bang, however, was expansion of spacetime. This is totally, 100% different thing than "explosion".
Big Bang also doesn't mean that matter started flying outwards from some centre. There is no centre. Big Bang means that spacetime itself expanded. Distance between objects grows larger not because they fly away from each other but because space expands.
Local movements of objects do occur but they are not caused by Big Bang but gravitational etc influences.
Also, matter did not exist in beginning of Universe. Matter formed shortly after Big Bang via condensation of energy (matter and energy are the same thing in different forms).

The spacetime itself is expanding and that causes the distance between galaxies becoming larger. It doesn't mean that the galaxies are travelling through space "away from centre".

I don't think humans will ever know anything about how the universe was made. It's infinite, it is just plain too massive to even try to understand. Either the universe was always here, time never began, or the big bang really did happen. But the real question is what created the thing that caused the big bang. Life will never tell...

@MODEPIIC the big bang theory doesn't suggest that time had a beginning, it suggests that the universe was always here. my understanding of it was that all matter existed as one dense star. then it exploded, and thats why the universe is the way it is now. but this professor called brian cox explains it differently, he says it wasn't a single occurence that happened in one place, turns out it's more complicated than i thought.

How could anything ever come into existence to begin with is the hardest question. So an explosion created the universe..but what created the explosion? What created the thing that created the explosion? and what created the thing that created the thing that created the explosion?? :|.... @mrdavid609 yeah it is an undeniable fact that galaxies are moving apart at a faster and faster rate. This is proven and if you deny this. Also there is evidence that the big bang happened, but it isn't an 100% fact, although it can fill in many spaces that other theories and ideas leave out.

@kdc43 science is about following the evidence and all the galactic bodies are are moving from what seems to be a common area(with gravity taken into consideration), and gravity increases with matter, so in other word the more matter, the more gravity. so stars have more density then planets, and when stars are that dense there is heat and the elements disintegrate, not entirely, just that the electrons are freed. now, these process increase in severity with gravity and that starts the theory.

Oh yes, and expansion happened by inflation, when the universe had so much energy that gravity was reversed. The reversal was calculated by math and had certain predictions, the most notable being cosmic background radiation. An image of radiation that was mapped that almost exactly fit the prediction. search it up, the images look the same.

What exactly has gravity to do with stopping Big Bang? Big Bang is expansion of spacetime. Big Bang is not some kind of explosion that causes stuff to fly apart - the objects in space are actually relatively in same place and the movements are local - what is happening is that SPACETIME is expanding, that is why galaxies are moving apart from each other. In other words - more and more room appears between galacies as space expands.

Big Bang was not "explosion" in any way. Explosion is rapid oxydation reaction or nuclear reaction. Big Bang, however, was expansion of spacetime. This is totally, 100% different thing than "explosion".
Big Bang also doesn't mean that matter started flying outwards from some centre. There is no centre. Big Bang means that spacetime itself expanded. Distance between objects grows larger not because they fly away from each other but because space expands.

Following that, perpetual motion machines are impossible not because of the laws of entropy but because of friction. The spacetime itself is expanding and that causes the distance between galaxies becoming larger. It doesn't mean that the galaxies are travelling through space "away from centre".
The actual, real movement of the objects through space, including orbital movement, is caused mostly by gravitational influences between those objects.

Its fine and i am not bothered if people don't believe its true, that is up to them and as I believe in free will, but according to the laws of the universe that allow us to have mobiles, laptops and tv's it did happen...if it did not happen and there was not great expansion after the initial expansion there would be to much of a quantum influence to allow these things to occur in the modern world.

@Asleepymystikal I have nothing to deny, you are denying the theory not me. You obviously have no knowledge of astronomy. The whole universe is expanding at a rate outwards, therefore due to observation we can see that it was once a point...this must have expanded outwards. The point idea was also independently found using special relativity and quantum mech. Also observation of black holes and galaxy formation backs the idea up. If you know what your talking about tell me one other theory
