Why would you need this? I can understand the wifi iPad, but the 3G iPad has gps built in!

I am using the gps from the iPad. That's what I'm showing off here. The radio does not have gps. I'm showing how I'm playing music from my iPad via Bluetooth to the radio while running the gps at the same time. That's why i would do this!

will the GPS work (on iPad 3G) without a data plan, without micro-sim card?

@bibi2900 The gps works with out the data plan but the maps don't. Thera a app the will install the maps and then you won't need the data plan.

Does the text plus work via bluetooth or wifi? My iPad is the Wi-fi version but both have Bluetooth. I was told 3G was data plan only and wouldn't work like phone to send SMS! I wish I got 3G now but its already been dispatched to me!

@Katilea69 The text is sent Over wifi or 3G if you have it. They make the app for the iPod touch as well. Look up text plus for iPad online.

I have Blackberry Storm and getting iPad this week. I wondered is it possible for you to compose text messages on the iPad and send message to Blackberry to be texted?

How did you get your iPad and Blackberry to 'see each other'. Thanks

Yes you can send text messages from the iPad to any cell phone. There's a app called text plus for the iPad that allows you to send text messages from the iPad.

The JVC radio is the one that sees both of the device via Bluetooth. The iPad and the blackberry are not connected to each other but both are connected to the radio at same time.

Yes the GPS works with out AT&T. but the maps are being downloaded as you go. if you buy the tom tom app then the maps are installed directly to the iPad.

@bigdogbee Does the JVC allow you to make/receive calls thru your phone via bluetooth? Or did you have to get an additional module?

No add on module needed. It works from the JVC right to the phone via bluetooth.
