To tell the truth, Rowlf the Dog is the reason I want to play piano. I mean, Liberace is great and all, but I watch The Muppet Show for the Muppets.

Liberace does not impress me. He almost ruined a woman's life by a sham marriage. He made is "lover" have cosmetic surgery. so they looked alike.So he could make love to himself I guess. He never wrote anything (as far as I know) and was a mediocre Piano player at best and a shameless self promoter at the worst. He lied to people for decades and never lifted a hand to help anyone except himself. I saw the episode and went "oh yes", I remember that GIT. He's not worth the effort quite frankly.

I'm so Jealous of Rowlf! He just shared a song with LIBERACE! Oh I would've killed to have had that opportunity! As always, The Muppets are exceptional entertainment, and Liberace was a perfect accompaniment. Thanks for posting this. Peace.

Is it my imagination, or is Liberace doing an improvisation of 'What a Wonderful World' ? I'm pretty sure I hear some basic phrases from that piece. And I loved his 'Chopstick' improvisation; he is a genius.

I have to agree... it's quite subtle, unlike most scenes in this program. Its like they're not supposed to take away from the music.
