He's not informed, he's a joke. Progressive trance is a made up label. Trance music in general is progressive and besides tempo that's really the only musical difference between house and trance otherwise one would just be a subgenre of the other. Music labeled as progressive house and progressive trance are essentially the same thing: blends of both genres. Most labels are just that.. labels. House has all sorts of subgenres: electro, minimal, tribal, tech but in the end it means nothing.

nope, someone entirely different (I take it you've never hear Markus Schulz's very american accent). Schossow is more techy, but under other aliases has made some really great progressive trance as well. Check out his Tone Diaries radio show. Andy Duguid also godly and with the rising (if not risen) star Emma Hewitt, this track (and remixes) one of my favourite of end 2009.
