  • i want to make the hover train version. this has been a good start thank you

  • (The light is connected to the MOTOR) -Great job by the way.

  • I bought a Tyco Rogers that you bought, and did it ever have any problem with the pick-ups with the wheels?

    Because, Mine barely works.

  • how would I cut the railroad wheels and glue them?

  • @deathstarmygnr It's a little complicated, the way that I found that worked best was to take some classic plastic HO train wheels and cut the axle off the two wheels so they are just two separate wheels, then take a small metal tube or rod and cut it to the length of the underside of the delorean without the wheels with a little extra on both sides to connect to the wheels. There is a more refined way of doing this I'm sure but I'm no pro.

  • @DafAnimationStudios

Thank you. I have few other questions. Would a metal coat hanger work for the rod? Also what length did you cut the wood for both the wheel coupler and Delorean engine? And I took out the bell like you said, but when I took it out, the bell broke. Do you know if any company makes a good replacement bell?

  • @deathstarmygnr No a coat hanger would be hard to get perfectly straight and the metal is pretty flimsy and would bend easily. There was no particular length nor can I go back an measure it so your going to have to eyeball it like I did. And Super glue is your friend, you would have to buy a whole new engine.

  • what company makes this model

  • @fatzGeronimo Tyco/Mantua, Video 1 would help you.

  • What kind of wheels?

  • you know, if you were desperate, you could buy a hotwheels delorean and cut it up> (yes, hotwheels makes a delorean now.)

  • The Tyco models aren't so bad; Tyco has its roots in Mantua; a model railroad manufacturer for the advanced hobbyist who pioneered HO scale in the 1930s. Tyco was intended for the newcomer to the hobby of model railroading.

  • You showed a lot of creativity and attention to detail in building the models! I bet people at a train show would get a kick out of seeing the models in action!

  • @Petemonster62 Hey that's a great idea! And I'm actually rebuilding them because I wanted a better quality model and the shitty tyco model I built this out of is very cheap so I'm thinking of kitbashing a new one.

  • hey, cool vid, but could you uload a better version of audio? It's a little hard to understand you with the crackles in your speech.

  • @luigi2999 watch the video again but turn the quality setting to 720p it rectifies the sound quality

  • You know, something else you might want to do is create an actual wood fuel load. It would GREATLY improve the overall look of the train. I've developed a method if you're interested.

  • I have plans to do so but never got around to doing it. And any help you could give is appreciated.

  • it really doesn't matter if the paint sticks, cuz the drivers aren't even close to a match on the real one. try rivarossi 4-4-0 drivers with model power axles. for those who don't care too much about the accuracy, just clean the wheels with dish soap, brush prime them, and paint them flat black also with a brush, carefully, don't hit the nickel silver tires.

  • hey i would love to see a video of your trainlayout if possible

  • How will you make the tender of the time train?

  • It's hard to make the wheels face the ground.

  • i made this in altogether in i think one hour

  • I have that same Delorean and mine is even worse shape, though we had fun back in the day together.

I remember I even went so far to create a proper barcode license plate on it as well (seeing as how it came with none). I had the box on the top too for awhile, I still have mine, but it's long since retired. It's more dark gray than silver now from the wear and tear, but it's had a lot of adventures.

  • Yeah if you look at mine it's all torn up. mainly paint and the missing Mr. Fusion i had to fusion a new one to replace. Good times, that was by far my prized hot wheels car. (Even though it was Johnny Lightning)

  • The comments from the guy who made this video is rude. Not cool. i thought ppl who are into toys were suppost to be nice.

  • Ha, everyone's different I suppose. Besides you don't have to read the comments, most of the time I'm replying to someone who's been hassling me over messaging as well. Don't judge people through comments on internet videos, you don't know whats happened before that comment was posted. And please if your going to insult me talk to me directly, lol. I do check my comments every now and then.

  • I've got that Johnny Lightning Delorean too, still in the box. I bought it 10 years ago!

  • how about sending it to me rather than destroying it...

  • hows about no, make your own.

Crash? Yes. Burn? A little. Destroy? No. There will be little to no damage to the locomotive, only the smoke stack and lamp box, as seen in the movie. After the filming sequence I will take whats left and rebuild it into the Jules Verne Time Train. I'm pretty sure that's worth burning 200 bucks let alone the $20 I bought the loco with.

  • fine

  • How do I make the decals stickers?

  • Where'd you get the car for the Delorean from?

  • its the Johnny Lightning model from eBay.

  • Can you make more, it's going great

  • If you're not selling your model, we'll have to create our own by the videos of how to build the train.

  • I'll create more don't worry

  • PEOPLE Me and him talked and he said that he is building a layout and is going to finish the layout and then he will do the renactmets so wait

  • Dude, when r u gonna post the new reenactment? I can hardly wait!

BTW; I just bought the Golden West Trainset off ebay and, thanks to u, I'm turning mine into the 131!

  • Wear did you get the train at

  • how u gonna make fire come outt the smokebox without havin the plastic melt?

  • Comment removed

  • I am getting ready to turn mine into the 131

  • I have to thank you for making these vids, especially when I´m gonna need help to color my model. =D

  • Hey man, your actually going to color your model? wow, are you going to make it into the 131?

  • Yeah, as soon as I figured out how the paint scheme will be.

    Sorry, but not precisely as the #131. ^^;

More like an own character I´m planning to call Jake Top10. =)

We can talk about it on DeviantArt.

  • ok sounds cool though, I would like to see it when it's finished, and maybe hear some more about it on deviantart.

  • Just pop in and ask me how it goes, lad. Before coloring, I need to make the funnel first. Then the coloring part will take place. ;)

  • Whats the size of the delorean??? is it 1:24 or something else??

  • something like that, It's about the size of a hot wheels car. I think it's a little smaller than 1:24 scale though.

  • i saw all of this on deviant art

  • Do I know you from deviantart? Whats your username?

  • good lord, i wish i had one, but i don't i just looked for a black 4-6-0 numbered 131!

  • O_O THE JULES VERNE TRAIN!!!

  • Yeah I know! It's going to be insanely hard but hopefully I can pull it off.

  • how did u put 13mins on there

  • No idea, I guess it was below the 100 megabytes or something.

  • nice
